Very well kept beach. Only thing I would change is that they had showers available. I think they would normally but everything is under construction so there's no where to rinse anything off, which makes it a pain.

Beautiful walking trail along the beach ( temp closed due to erosion and track work). West toast about a mile down towards the pier. One of my favorite spots. Camping area is also great. Premier spots are reserved almost immediately, likely be people using boys but the overall location is still great.

Disappointing. We love California and the California state parks. However, this park needs some TLC. The grounds around campsite were dying back and not maintained. Neighboring campers were allowed to play loud music late into the evening and a group of young scouts, were yelling and kicking the doors to the restrooms late at night. Maintenance workers closed the showers to clean them at 7:45 AM the morning we were checking out.

Well maintained public beach and camping grounds. Facilities were well cleaned, and the sites and trash maintained daily.

Nice spacious Campsites with full hook-ups. Beach access and nearby stores and restaurants

Nice beach for walking. Found some beach glass and some cool looking rocks. There were a couple surfers trying to surf but the waves were dead this day. The beach was clean and there is lots of space to spread out and allow your dog to play.

Good location..nestled between i5 and the ocean..pretty chill place. The beach is a good hike down the hill under the rr tracks

Freeway is right close and road noise is 24/7. Can't be helped, but for what you pay you would expect level campsites. NO. Bring leveling blocks. Some paved over on a significant list one way or the other. WHY? So basic. That was a bad design decision.
Bathrooms clean and views are AMAZING.
The beach walks are like something out of a dream.
They Will ticket for pets on the beach

- The beach is nice and clean water
- Waves are good for surfing - saw lot of surfers
- Easy to access
- Maintained well
- Nicely carved canyon or cliffs (main attraction)
- Can see the surf liner running next to sea
