Située à Tropea, en Italie, la Villa Paola est un hôtel 5 étoiles installé dans une abbaye historique datant de 1543. We first came here in 2022, and in the villa's amazing garden facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, my then-boyfriend proposed to me (and I said yes, of course!).
Months later, and after several weeks of debating where to get married, we thought to ourselves, "Why not Villa Paola?!" We truly could not think of a more magical place for our wedding.
Paola's staff members were extremely helpful and detail oriented during the wedding planning process. Deborah, the hotel and events manager, accommodated all of our requests, including a custom cake.
Thanks to the staff's efforts, the day of the wedding was as relaxing as it was exciting. My husband and I exchanged rings under the villa's iconic olive tree and then, with our seven guests, we ate an incredible six-course meal featuring fresh Calabrian ingredients.
Everyone who attended the wedding fell in love with Villa Paola, from its gorgeous pool to its breakfast (you can eat endless local cheeses and eggs done any way you want while enjoying a breathtaking view of the coast and the town of Tropea).
The villa is walking distance from the amazing Rotonda Beach and the main town, making the location ideal as well.
