Even though the hotel part looks very nice, the campsite is quite bad. I will try to make a comprehensive review of our relatively bad experience at the campsite of la casa Encuentro.

Pros
- There are some rooftops above the campsite spots
- The breakfast is amazing
- The location is good

Cons
- Cold showers
- No light in the toilet
- The campsite kitchen is a barbecue
- The dining table is as wide as the benches (cf picture)
- No lockers
- Poo smell over the campsite
- The staff that hosted us were not helpful and rather rude. We want to believe they do not treat the people from the campsite as the people from the hotel.

The staff
- They advertise wrong information : they confirmed (by text) that there would be warm showers on the campsite. When we arrived, they did not admit that they wrote that. They did not seem to care about our disappointment and did not offer any solutions.
- They locked us out : when we came back from a dinner in town, the whole place was closed. We did not receive any keys and we did not think it would be necessary since we camp. There was no one at the reception and the hotel’s phone was off (we reached the voicemail right away). Fortunately the lock of one of the fences was broken and we could sneak into the place. We texted the receptionist about it and he answered us the day after saying that it is good that we could access thanks to the broken lock, no apologies.
- In general, they did not inform us about anything. For instance, they did not inform us about the activities that took place in the hotel (e.g. yoga sessions, etc) while the hotel members were.

Conclusion
We paid 84k COP for a single tent (40k per person + ATM fees). This is completely overpriced for a campsite. At this price we would have expected at least a warm shower and a better service. We could also understand a high price for the private access to the lake but we stayed there during the dry season and the lake was completely empty (cf. picture). They could have made a goodwill gesture to us.

I was about to leave a 1 star review; I make it a 2 star one for the breakfast.

Una muy linda experiencia, la zona de camping es perfecta, con una vista muy linda a la piedra el Peñol.

Alquilamos un kayak para dos personas y resultó ser el mejor recorrido para ver La Piedra!

Really nice bar here with great views. Worth coming. I was not staying here but rented a bike and biked up here.

Buen lugar para entrenar y practicar diferentes deportes

Lugar muy bonito encima de la represa con zona chillout y actividades alrededor, y yoga insitu. Todo con mucha decoración alternativa y mucho amor!

Nos encantó el lugar, son demasiado amables, la comida es deliciosa, el lugar es tan hermoso y tranquilo, y las habitaciones son maravillosas. ¡Muchas gracias! Nos vamos con ganas de volver.

Overall I had a great experience. The room was tiny, however I was the only one in the area with the private rooms and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
The location was great. It is just outside the town in a quiet , peaceful sector. The views are marvelous . I’d definitely come back and but would try and rent the cabin for more space

Fijne rustige plek in het groen. Relaxe hangmatten en mooi uitzicht. Behulpzaam personeel. Mogelijkheid tot kayakken. Op loopafstand van het centrum.

The hostel has some charm and very nice decoration. The staff it’s kind and friendly.
That’s all the good part.

The room was very small and there were no insulation at all. So you were able to hear all the neighbors.
There is no AC nor even a fan and the window didn’t have a mosquito net, so it was hard to bring some new air into the room.
The bathroom is so small, that the sink is inside the room near the bed.
Whenever someone in the building flushed the toilet, it came a bad smell out of the sink into the room, very unpleasant.
The room lacked a deep cleaning.

Le personnel est très sympa, il y a une belle vue et on est isolé de la ville, petit bémol sur la taille des chambres et le bruit des autres clients parfois (les murs sont très fins).

Great guest service experience. Reception senoritas helped with every issue I had. Awesome breakfast and the view is amazing!
Very quiet area but just 8-10 minutes of walk to everything. If you want to take a tuktuk back at night it's 4-5000 cop.
You need good legs to stay at the waterfront bungalow :)

Hermoso lugar, cero ruido, no hay contaminación de ningún tipo, la atención del personal es excelente, el desayuno 10 de 10 cambia todos los días, muy completo y delicioso, tienen actividades dentro de la represa y muy cerca del malecón y el pueblo como tal! ????

Un lugar mágico

Es un lugar estupendo para el descanso, la relajación y conectar con la naturaleza.

Este lugar es increíble. Mi experiencia en casa encuentro fue muy especial. El lugar es maravilloso, peaceful, limpio, espectacular. La comida y el servicio de primera. Lo recomiendo al ????. Regresaría definitivamente.
