For the price I expected a lot more! Of all the Lodges we stayed in during our 6 week trip through SA, Zim, Botswana & Namibia this was by far the lowest quality while also being highest cost of all. Reception/service was almost non existent en the “tree house” was a reed hut amongst trees albeit on the river. If you want a rough “authentic African” experience, this would be fine if it was not so pricey.

Piękne miejsce nad brzegiem Kawango. Miła obsługa, fajny bar. Toalety w stylu afrykańskich kampingów.Wygrodzony w rzece basen pozwala bezpiecznie popływać. W rzece jest kilkadziesiąt hipopotamów które można oglądać z brzegu lub łódek mokoro. Miejsca campsite wyposażone w prąd,wodę, miejsce kuchenne,toalety i prycznice. Trudno być bliżej przyrody niż w Ngepi Camp. Polecam

Amazing location right on the river, and in a beautiful part of the world. Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience with the service unlike others, so from the start that put a bit of a dampener on things. Had booked a treehouse room for two nights, excited for a bit of luxury in the middle of a long camping trip, but in all honestly I slept far better on my camping mattress than on that (rock hard) bed. I think the treehouses are a fabulous idea, and being open they’re understandably a challenge to maintain, but there were a lot of little avoidable things that just gave an overall impression that there wasn’t much care anymore and it was more about the gimmick than the quality of what was offered. I also included dinner and breakfast, which I wouldn’t recommend either. Definitely stop here for the location, but if I were to visit again I’d get one of the shady, grassy campsites and self-cater or order snacks from the bar menu, which seemed to be much better value for money.

Wir haben im "Baumhaus" übernachtet, was mehr eine kleine Hütte am Fluss mit Aussparungen für Äste als ein Baumhaus war. Trotzdem sehr schön, auch wenn es eigentlich nur ein Doppelbett umgeben von 2 Wänden und 2 Rollladen ist. Der Preis für das Baumhaus war im namibischen Vergleich relativ teuer.
Man schläft direkt am Fluss und wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf circa 10 Nilpferde. Dafür ist es nachts relativ laut mit Nilpferd-Grunzen.
Alle Leute, die dort gearbeitet haben, wirkten fröhlich und waren sehr freundlich. Die Atmosphäre hat mir gut gefallen.
Das Essen war lecker und wirkte authentisch.
Die Anfahrt von der Hauptstraße zum Camp ist etwas weit und man wird durchgeschüttelt.

We camped. Beautiful campsite, drinking water, restricted electricity from solar panels. Very tame yellow bellied bulbuls eating out of your hands.

Eco gevoel en beleving ten top !! Wat een toffe plaats, gans het noorden van Namibië gedaan met 4x4 maar deze campsite was fantastisch, vriendelijke medewerkers en de mogelijkheden voor gamedrives zijn legio. Wakker worden met het " gebrul " van de nijlpaarden is toch waanzin niet ?

Bien situé sur la rivière Kavango avec crocodile et hippotames. Ngepi camp est situé en face de Mucosso NP. Le matin les impalas, antilopes sont facilement observables avec une belle luminosité. J'étais dans la swirl house tree à une extrémité du camp. Dormir à la belle étoile entendre les hippos et crocodiles regagner la rive et aussi le rugissement du lion est une expérience inoubliable. Cela vaut 4 km de piste de sable parfois cahotique. Je recommande ppur la beauté et simplicité du lieu

We stayed 2 seperate nights here.
First night was great. Campsite 1-4 are with river view an really nice. You can see hippos in the water and lots of other animals (elefants, antelopes, eagles, warthogs etc.) on the other riverside.
The camps without river view are not so great. Long way to the toilet/showers.
Showers: sone good and some are not good as not enough water comes out, or flows somewhere als except for the shower itself.
We decided to have dinner with ngepi camp but that was terrible.
Salat was good, main course was only vegetables out of a can…
We were also really disappointed by the desert (and we love deserts).
Save your money for drinks.

I camped in quite a few campsites and all were perfect. Hippo's always nestled in the water right in front of the campsites with a few visits around the tent at night. Amazing animal sightings and views from their sundeck, River pool, and dining deck. A great location just outside the park, close to the border, and close to Divundu. I didn't stay in any of the tree houses or rooms, but the staff were amazing throughout. ???? Wonderfully stay!

This camp has pros and cons....the positives are staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is good. But it's a backpacker place and the cleanliness is lacking and the camping facilities need an urgent rethink.... it's old and hard to maintain I think. Really in need of investment in the ablutions and abstract toilets....has potential

22 shaded campsites on the Kavango river.
Opposite is agame park.can see and hear lion, hippi, buffalo and crocs.

Amazing camp, probably the best on our trip through Namibia and Botswana. Camp along the river next to hippos, fun outdoor showers and toilets. Great service at the bar, don’t miss the dinner cooked at the camp !

Das Camp ist noch immer sehr zu empfehlen. Die Lage direkt am Fluss mit Hippos im Wasser und Löwen, Elefanten und vielen anderen Tieren am gegenüberliegenden Flussufer ist einmalig. Von hier aus lassen sich prima Pirschfahrten in den Mahango - oder den Buffalopark starten. Toll ist auch der etwas besondere Pool ????
