Schöne Stellplätze und sauberes Duschhaus. Die Waterberg Region ist sehr schön. Einige Tiere direkt auf dem Platz. Der Pool war uns leider zu schmutzig.

It was totally ok, it was clean and the price was more or less also ok.
You have your own shower and toilet but no power outlet directly on your spot.
Furthermore the signal coverage war really bad. I know this is not connected to the camp itself but here the Wifi coverage from the restaurant could be improved.

Si vous voulez dépenser 50€ la nuit pour trouver un personnel désagréable, un terrain de camping en pente et des piscines privatisées par les colonnies de guêpes, ce camping est fait pour vous !
Nous avions réservé pour 2 nuits, pensant que ce campsite permettait de finir le voyage en beauté, mais cela a viré au désastre. Après le paiement, nous avons été informés que les campsites n'étaient pas équipés de prise électrique. Les sanitaires et douches sont situées à 200m alors que le camp grouille d'insectes, qui logent dans les piscines verdâtres complètement inutilisables.
De plus, à part les visites assez chères organisées par le camp, qui ne semblent pas être du même niveau que celles que l'on peut faire à moindre prix dans d'autres endroits de Namibie (comme Etosha), il n'y a rien à faire. Impossible de se balader en autonomie, facile de s'ennuyer donc.
La vue du campsite est en revanche jolie, mais cela ne vaut pas le prix pour le campsite le plus cher de notre voyage.

However, it's important to note that our pools are nestled in the midst of nature, making it challenging to prevent all insects from entering. Additionally, with the warm temperatures, the water conditions can change overnight. Rest assured, we have informed our dedicated maintenance team, who are diligently monitoring and addressing the situation.
c) Our fact sheets clearly state that there are no electrical plugs available at the campsite. Central supply points are available for your convenience.
d) The bathrooms are located in a central ablution block, also mentioned on our website.
e) It's important to note that unlike Etosha, our facility is not government-funded. We rely on the income generated from our guests to maintain and enhance the entire reserve.
f) We offer various self-walking trails within the valley, allowing our guests to explore the natural beauty of the area. Maps are readily available on our website, in the brochures handed to guests upon arrival, and at our reception.

De campsite was krap en het was onmogelijk de auto op een rechte plek voor de daktent.
We moeten nog slapen vannacht maar het lijkt me onprettig.
Zwembaden (voor zover het de naam mag hebben) wemelen van de wespen en zagen er groen uit.
Bedjes (bij 1 zwembad geen en bij de ander 4?,) waren te smerig om aan te raken.
Heb ook niemand gezien die een poging waagde en dat met 38 graden????
Toevoeging: We kregen in de ochtend gelijk bezoek van manager Hans die ons het een en ander uit kon leggen over de situatie.
We hebben het vertrouwen dat onze klachten heel serieus worden genomen en dat er hard aan vetbetering gewerkt wordt.
Ook willen we onze waardering uitspreken over het personeel in het restaurant !

Die Campsite war auf der Website nicht gut dargestellt, somit waren wir sehr enttäuscht als wir ankamen. Das Waschhaus und die Stellplätze werden wenig gepflegt. Die Dame am Tor war äußerst unfreundlich. Wir würden jedem eine andere Campsite empfehlen. Vielleicht ist das Anderssen Camp schöner, aber der Service bleibt der gleiche.

Campsite was super quite! Loved it.
Pool was clean.
Every campsite has their own shower/toilet. It was clean and worked great.
To get from the campsite to the main reception is a lot to walk. We used the car.
Great hike ways and view from the top was great.
We checked in at the great but for us there was no real main reception (or we did not found it)
We got no information that e.g the giraffe crossing hike was closed because of construction work.
In general the staff was friendly.
Pool was clean.

Our campsite was not super clean. There were yellow stains on the table which gave us the impression that an animal uses it as toilet. The BBQ wasn’t clean either and if you had a look around the campsite you could spot tissue paper/plastic in the bush. There was a shadow roof but it did not spend shadow in the afternoon (except for the trash bin). The lights in our bathroom did not work and there was no bin. Besides, the staff didn’t appear very motivated, convenient and (child-)friendly. We booked dinner on the night we arrived for the next evening and luckily we double-checked on the next day because the staff did not reserve a spot for us. The dinner then was only mediocre and cannot be compared to other places where we had dinner. Considering that, it was reaaaally overpriced. They also did not offer child-friendly food - for example, dessert was with alcohol and an alternative (plain yoghurt) was only offered after we asked. The meat was very hot/spicy which our daughters (2 and 4 years old) could not eat. The pool area looks much nicer than it actually is. If we were to stay in the area again, I would look for a different place.

Toller Platz zum Campen, der "Pool" etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, die Beschilderung und die Lodge ebenso. Wenn man allerdings davon unabhängig ist, ist es wunderschön. Nachts besuchte uns ein Stachelschwein ☺️

Petite déception pour ce camping qui est finalement largement un crans en dessous en terme de prestation par rapport à d’autres campings du pays.
Pas d’électricité ni de lumières sur l’emplacement. Par ailleurs, le sol n’est pas plat ce qui complique le sommeil dans les tentes.
Le bois n’est à priori plus distribué gratuitement aux clients contrairement à ce qui est parfois indiqué.
Enfin, la personne à la réception pourrait largement être plus agréable et au service des clients..
La réserve en elle même est superbe.

Really overrated campsite. We had read that Waterberg Plateau Campsite was supposed to be amazing and so much better than the NWR campsite, so we booked one night here. Also to do the rhino tracking. Our experience wasn't so great.
First of all, we didn't really feel welcome. The receptionist was quite unfriendly and unhelpful and also we didn't get any explanation as to where our showers/toilets were.
The "game tracking" was a guided walk to the place where the rhinos were and back. It seems that the rhinos are always at the same spot because they feed them with hay. We didn't encounter any other animals at all, we also didn't feel like any effort was made to find other animals. The walk took about 2 hours (advertised were 3-4 hours) and the price of 900 NAD was just ridiculous. I hope most of this goes to the nature park. In our opinion the game tracking was not what we expected and it was false advertisement.
One star for the amazing views from our campsite.

Camping en pleine nature, super calme! Le personnel est agréable, la taille des emplacements est acceptable et assez isolé des autres. Douche chaude si on allume un feu sous le chauffe-eau. On a eu le droit à la visite d'un porc-épic en pleine nuit! Les randonnées sont super belle celle nommé "Porcupine trail" nous a permis de croisé une grande famille de Babouins. Seul défaut de ce camping c'est l'excursion pour voir les Rhinocéros blanc. Arrivé sur place ils ont doublé le prix de celle-ci (Nous étions 4), la randonné à duré 1h30 au lieu de 4h et vu le nombre de Rhinocéros que nous avons aperçu lors de notre séjour. Cette excursions n'était vraiment pas nécessaire.

Très bien situé sur le bord du plateau du Waterberg, ce Campsite nous a paru très cher pour le service rendu.
Pas de lumière ni de prise électrique sur les emplacements, terrain en pente (donc tente également) mais sanitaires individuels.
À 55 € la nuit c'est un peu violent, surtout quand on voit qu'à Windhoek on est dans un hôtel tout confort avec petit déj' à volonté pour 45 € la nuit.
Les tarifs du bar sont corrects.
La balade sur le plateau du Waterberg nous a été facturée (18 € par personne) avec un guide, alors que nous aurions préféré y aller seuls et donc gratuitement. Mais apparemment ce n'était pas possible...
Assez surprenant, je pense que c'est de la vente forcée.
Donc pour le coin ça vaut le coup, mais il faut prévoir d'avoir assez d'argent.
1 nuit suffit, en arrivant, on va sur le plateau le lendemain matin (retour à 11h) et on peut partir ensuite.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au WATERBERG plateau campsite, magnifique vue. Douches et toilettes privatives, barbecue avec grille, plusieurs point d’eau sont accessibles à pied.
Wesley (guide local) nous a fait découvrir beaucoup de choses lors du Rhino Tracking, nous avons 100% de chances de voir des rhinocéros blanc d’assez près.

We,ve spent a night at the campsite. It was a really nice stay. The nature around the camp was beautiful, and the rhino trail was awesome!!!! Really worth it!!
Bathrooms were clean and we had everything we needed.
But screaming baboons at night are a little bit scary. ????
All in all, I can really recommend the campsite!!

Alles was man zum Campen braucht. Da die Plätze an einem leichten Hang sind, konnten wir unser Camperauto nicht ganz gerade hinstellen. Das Rhinotracking, das man dort machen kann war amazing.

Schönes Campsite mit eigenem WC und Dusche. Absolut empfehlenswert den Rhino walk mitzumachen. Einmalige Erfahrung durch die Savanne den Spuren der Rhinos zu folgen und sie dann ganz nah erleben zu können. Freundlicher Guide.

Wir fanden das Camp für eine Nacht okay. Die Stellplätze sind sauber, aber es gibt Paviane, die den Müll ausräumen. Cool ist, dass man am Abend Tiere sehen kann und auch der Rhino Drive war super, sehr empfehlenswert! Die Lodge ist ca. 1 km entfernt - dort wurden wir aber nicht so herzlich aufgenommen.

Un camping super avec un restaurant qui a juste une magnifique terrasse. Les places de camping sont très espacées. Idéal pour se retrouver en pleine nature et profiter d’une magnifique nuit nature.

Die Stellplätze sind wirklich liebevoll und sehr großzügig ausgewählt.
Die sanitären Anlagen (jeder Stellplatz hat ein eigenes Abteil) sind zweckmässig und sauber. Warmes Wasser kommt immer mit Quellwasserqualität.
Die geführten Touren zu Fuss oder per Pickup sind sensationell.
Das Restaurant bietet gute Hausmannskost zu günstigen Preisen und acapella Einleitung:-).
Sehr berührend.
Das Waterberg Area ist einfach sensationell, wir kommen wieder für mindestens 1 Woche.

Le camping est au pied du plateau. Les emplacements sont petits mais bien aménagés, isolés avec beaucoup de végétation, avec table sous toiture, et salle de bain privative (mais dans un bloc sanitaire commun par groupe de 4). Attention pas d'électricité à celui là. Le bar/restaurant permet de se poser avec une magnifique vue sur le plateau. Plusieurs balades en libre accès .

Wir hatten uns für 2 Nächte eine Campsite auf der Waterberg Plateau Campsite gebucht. Die Erwartungen waren sehr hoch, weil wir von Freunden die Empfehlung für diese Campsite erhalten haben.
Tatsächlich sind wir von der angebotenen Campsite enttäuscht. Zunächst einmal gibt es keinen Stromanschluss und die Stellplätze für die Fahrzeuge sind nicht eben, sodass man schief im Dachzelt gelegen hat. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen sind in Ordnung, aber bei weitem nicht mit unseren bisherigen, besuchten Campsites vergleichbar. Das Wifi an der Rezeption funktionierte garnicht und die Preise für die angebotenen Touren und das angebotene Feuerholz (kleiner Karton mit ein paar Hölzern für 100ND) empfanden wir als überteuert.
Von der Campsite kann man das Plateau ohne Führung garnicht besuchen.
Am Abend gegen 17 Uhr ankommend, haben wir um eine Portion Fleisch für Braii gebeten und für 150 ND eine kleine Styropor Box mit Rest-Fleisch erhalten.
Weiterhin sind die freien Wandertouren nett, schlieslich bietet der Waterberg eine unfassbar schöne Natur, daher auch 2 Sterne. Allerdings hat man auch hier den Eindruck, dass absolut keine Arbeit in einen ordentlichen Zustand investiert wird. Auf dem Dassie Trail war der Trail so sehr zugewachsen, dass man stellenweise nicht wusste, wo der Trail weiter verläuft. Die in vorherigen Kommentaren angesprochene Problematik mit dem dreckigen Poolwasser war auch bei unserem Aufenthalt vorzufinden.
Alles in allem werden wir diese Campsite nicht mehr aufsuchen und auch nicht empfehlen. Verglichen mit anderen Campsites wird hier deutlich weniger Service geboten und dafür jedoch unverschämt hohe Preise gefordert.

Lovely campsite , pretty high and with a nice shadow ( from what i saw the one with most sadow and privacy between the campsites).
There is a dedicated bbq area and a wc/shower. The place is in the nature and it is really easy to spot animals.
I would recommend a visit to the neighboring lodges as they each offer unique sightseeing and to do the rinotreck as you will see white rinos close up and better than in etosha.
The plato trek is also beautiful and we managed to see a buffallo from 2 m distance.
Only downside is that there is no plugs at the campsite or internet (if you care).

Schöne Natur und grandiose Aussicht über den Waterberg. Nette Campsite, allerdings etwas klein und ohne Strom. Ein von 4 Abschnitten vom Klohaus gehört zur Campsite, inklusive Spinnen und Skorpionen. Wunderschöne Campsite, saubere Waschhäuser und Toilette. Game drive sehr zu empfehlen!
