In der Canyon Village haben wir uns wirklich wohl gefühlt! Das lag zum einen an dem wirklich tollen und mega aufmerksamen Personal, die immer gut gelaunt und freundlich waren. Zum anderen ist die Lage der Lodge einfach atemberaubend: Das Village sieht ein bisschen aus wie eine Stadt im wilden Westen. Kleine Häuser, die sich eng an den Felsen schmiegen. Es gibt einen sehr schönen Pool und der Ausblick ist einfach sowas von krass schön!???? Von hier aus kann man hervorragend Ausflüge zum Canyon starten, da der Main Viewpoint nicht weit entfernt ist. Wer Zeit hat und mit einem 4WD unterwegs ist, sollte einen Ausflug am Canyonrand entlang wagen, aber nicht Richtung Hikers Point sonder Richtung Ai-Ais. Die Abfahrt dafür ist etwas unscheinbar kurz bevor man den Main Viewpoint erreicht. 20 Kilometer Schotterpiste und teils etwas abenteuerlich, aber die Ausblicke belohnen jeden Abenteuerlustigen und hier hat man den Canyon weitgehend für sich alleine!????

This is a great lodge. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the most amazing person, Milencia. She was friendly, efficient, and eager to assist with any of our special requests or questions.

When we think back to this amazing place and accommodation, her name comes first to mind.

The room was beautiful, clean and tidy with all the amenities a traveler could need.

Dinner was amazing, and the friendly staff at the bar made our evening even more mesmerizing. This lodge is highly recommended.

Beautiful location, very nice and spacious rooms. Stunning views from the swimming pool! Very (child-) friendly staff! Dinner and breakfast were good.

We came from a self-drive tour from the Canyon Road Campsite through the Gondwana National Park. We were greeted by several oryxes eating grass right in front of the reception. It was a very hot sunny day and all we could think about was a cold drink.

Mooie lokatie. Ietwat gedateerde kamers maar goed te doen. Beetje hobbitachtig voor n deel tussen de rotsen gebouwd. Grote prachtige tuin met zwembad. Eten ok, niet top top .

Sehr schöne Lodge als Ausgangspunkt zum Fish River Canyon. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen hatte leider mit 490 N$ einen stolzen Preis.

I cant speak more highly of this lodge, withthe absolute highest praise to Charles, who was incredible and went above and beyond any kind of help we could have asked for. Our car was stuck on the side of the road in the middle of seemingly nowhere, and we were able to get a ride to this lodge to seek help. I was really worried about the situation, and thought this would become a big ordeal, but as soon as we arrived and spoke with Charles, he fixed everything. We couldnt have asked for a more gracious staff member who did everything he could to help us get back on track to fix the situation and offer various solutions. It was the most unparalleled experience I have ever had travelling. He offered as much reassurance as he did help.

The lodge itself is stunning, all the staff were so kind and attentive. The restaurant was lovely, and the food was delicious. All this aside, I still cant speak more highly of Charles, who truly saved our trip.

I would highly recommend this place to absolutely anyone, and am extremely grateful x a million to have met Charles.

Everything about this place is great, and it grows on you. Worth a one night rest stay or a two night chill out by the pool for the day (which is what we did). The staff are what make this place, from the smiley chef to the amazing Milencia at the front desk who’s service is akin to a five star Parisian hotel. The food is great, wines great, pool great. Only comment would be a lack of shaded car parking so it is worth buying a foil windscreen shade to prevent the car from heating up like an oven as it’s literally in the middle of the desert. It is also worth noting no fridges in rooms due to power load, but they are happy to provide ice buckets when needed.

The views from and in the canyon are amazing, and we would love to stay again should we get the chance.

Wow! This is a gem.
We coincidentally saw it from far with binoculars and got curious...and then got there for drinks with our group of six. We did not see the rooms but the public space is an " awe".
Rocks/ boulders fused into the building and also natural material used to build the place.
What a great place.
We may just want to come back and spend sometime here.
Magnificent!

Gemütliche Lodge etwas Abseits der einzigen Straße nach Ais-Ais. Großes Haupthaus mit Bar, Rezeption, Restaurant, Kinderspielecke und Souvenirladen. Zu den Steinhäusern im Farmerstil sind es nur wenige Schritte. Pro Haus gibt es zwei Doppelzimmer. Stilvoll eingerichtet und mit Bildern der Erschließung der Gegend ausgemahlt ist jedes Zimmer ein Unikat. Durch seine Lage bietet es sich gut für Ausflüge zum Fish River Canyon an. Bei Wanderungen in der Umgebung ist es möglich Antilopen und Springböcke zu sehen.

Das Roadhouse liegt gut um den Fish River Canyon zu besuchen. Im Restaurant war das Menu mit dem Game-Steak ausgezeichnet. Auf dem Weg zurück vom Canyon hatten wir eine Panne und die Mitarbeitenden haben sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Herzlichen Dank!

It is beautiful! It is tranquil. The service is unbeatable! The manager, Charles, was the friendliest and most helpful person I've met in a long time. A genuinely great person with loads of energy and a true gem. We had an amazing time! X

On a recent family trip we stayed at a few different lodges, but the Canyon Village will stand out head and shoulders above the rest. A beautiful stay and setting with delicious cooked from the heart food. The staff was absolutely amazing and even had the world of patience with our very busy little 4 year old son. I will happily return here.

Oh what an awesome place.. The service is top notch.. We had a great time.. The food s very nice.. Very clean rooms the staff s very friendly. I enjoyed my stay.. I will definitely come back there and refer your place to other people. The animals that came late in the evening to drink water very beautiful view... Awesome awesome... Just get some shades for the Vehicles.. Otherwise it was great... Amazing place...

Mit unseren 2 Kindern (3 und 5) hatten 3 wunderbare Übernachtungen in der Lodge. Das Familienzimmer war geräumig und die ins Haus integrierten Felsen ein Abenteurspielplatz für die beiden Jungs. Die Anlage als ganzes fügt sich wunderschön in die Landschaft ein und hatte den für uns schönsten Pool auf unserer ganzen Namibia-Reise. Am Abend kommen die Oryx bis vors Bungalow.
Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Fahrt mit der Lodge zum Canyon war gut organisiert, informativ und unser Fahrer hat uns zu sehr schönen Aussichtspunkten abseits der anderen Touristen geführt. Das Essen war lecker und stammt zum grossen Teil aus dem eigenen Garten. Die verschiedenen Wanderungen rund um die Lodges sind gut markiert und bieten eine gelungene Abwechslung zum vielen Autofahren. Ein sehr gut und professionell geführter Betrieb. Ein Dank an das Management!
