This was such an incredible experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Iceland. My husband and I enjoyed a 6-day tour around the country and this was one of our favorite activities by far. The horses are absolutely stunning and it was amazing getting to experience their unique Tölt gait that can't be found anywhere else in the world. These horses are very sure-footed and built to navigate rough terrain. You can tell the owners of this ranch take pride in the horses well-being and happiness. The location is absolutely stunning and makes one wish that they could stay there longer. If you have prior horse experience, I highly recommend requesting a private trail ride where you can get more experience and learn all about these beautiful animals. Can't wait to go back!

Wij hebben hier niet geslapen, maar hebben wel een rit met paard geboekt. Vriendelijke eigenaars, maar een van de gidsen was precies tegen haar zin aan het werken. Ze zijn bezorgd om hun dieren en laten deze niet te hard werken.

Zijn er niet blijven overnachten, enkel een rondrit gaan maken met Ijslandse paarden.
Is een ranch klein formaat met heel veel oog voor de paardvriendelijkheid.

it was about a year ago, but better late than never: we had a wonderful stay with a breathtaking horse ride back then. In the hot pot, the cold of the trip was then also quickly forgotten. That alone is worth 5 stars, but then the hostess was still my salvation the next morning when I needed a doctor due to unbearable toothache. She took the time to call all possible doctors and got me an emergency consultation after a few futile attempts (it was Sunday). Thanks again for that!!!

Had a wonderful time at Finnsstaðir horse ranch. We had an amazing horseback riding adventure with Helga and Siggi. They also had a great petting zoo that you shouldn’t miss out on.

Excellent! They have really amazing view and nice horses. The pony Fjodur is really cute and hardworking. Also the stuffs are all friendly and helpful. I do love go hacking in such a place. I guess I would come back in the future, to have a long stay here.
