Room is comfortable. Shower room is small but enough. Food at restaurant is very good. Tried lobsters soup and pasta, no regret.

Friendly staff, comfortable room but a bit on the small size as is the bathroom. Nice looking hotel, restaurant is nice to dine at. I’d recommend the burger. Would stay again.

Waren im Haus 5, was leider etwas renovierungsbedürftig ist. Ansonsten war der Service top, das Essen Restaurant lecker und das Frühstück so wie man es sich eben vorstellt!

Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer im Nebengebäude Nr. 5. Dieses ist renovationsbedürftig und die Heizung funktioniert nicht richtig. Schade denn das Hotel an und für sich ist schön. Auswahl beim Frühstück ist gross.

Extremely small rooms. False advertising. Not the same rooms as seen in pics. They give you rooms in different building. You have to walk or drive to main reception if you need anything. No elevator. Have to carry your luggage to second or third floor. Tiny bathrooms

The rooms were basic in the separate buildings from the main hotel, but the location is great.

Some of the reviews made me very nervous about what I was about to encounter!
It ended up being a lovely hotel, great location, in the city centre.
A bit pricey but the staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was quite great!
Would stay there again!

Hotel is in a great location. Restaurant has great service. Rooms are clean, but if you’re looking for a spacious bathroom, this is not the place for you.
Keep in mind, there are no elevators, but staff is willing to help with your luggage. They offer a wake up call for northern lights.

Angenehm überrascht. Das hatten wir so nicht erwartet. Das Zimmer war klein, aber ordentlich, sauber … niedlich. Das Frühstück war weitaus besser als erwartet.

The hotel is in a great position and the personnel is nice. The breakfast is very good. However, the rooms are small and the bathrooms even smaller and there is no elevator

Rooms are small. 3 people on twin beds can fit, but no room for luggage. Staff is very helpful. Good breakfast! Dinner also good. 1 free bag of laundry per room.

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse, the host was very kind and welcoming, we were able to regenerate over there after long days of road trip in our van, washed our clothes too.. all the amenities were neat and the breakfast was good as well!

Bien insonorizadas las habitaciones ..., no están. El hotel no tiene ascensor, y el cuarto de baño se parece bastante al de un avión.
The rooms are well soundproofed...they are not. The hotel does not have an elevator, and the bathroom looks a lot like an airplane bathroom.

Listed as a 2 star hotel, but we thought this was nicer than that. The rooms are small and the showers just keep getting stranger in how to stop water from escaping, but it was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the bar and food were good.
Good location in a quiet area yet accessible to the entire core of the village. We were about 100 yards from the side of the bay and had easy access for an evening walk. I would say this deserves a higher rating. They even had bikes for the guests to borrow/rent?

The room we stayed in had very slim walls, we couldnt sleep due to a woman laughing next door and talking endlessly.
The rooms were in horribly state when we arrived and when we asked about it they didnt hinch to do anything about it.
Hotels are supposed to have thick walls but apparently they bought a building and placed thin walls to make more rooms.
Either they did this for money or so more people could visit but either way, i dont recommend this hotel, its also very expensive.

Das Hotel Höfn liegt am Meer direkt im Ort Höfn. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind etliche Restaurants. Das Zimmer war groß, Parkettboden, schwarze Möbel, 2 Kofferablagen, kein Fernseher, aber Safe, kein Kasten, aber Stange von Decke zum Aufhängen von Kleidung, viele Steckdosen, Nespressomaschine. Dusche mit Duschvorhang. Zimmerantenne, WLAN ohne Code ist gratis.

Hotel shower was amazing - strength-wise and temperature wise! Hotel interior was also great. Remodeled and beautiful. The included breakfast was also delicious, especially in comparison to other places I stayed around the country. Wonderful!

Only stayed for one night but the beds were comfy and shower pressure/temperature was perfect! Clean space with organic soaps and shampoos. Also, there was a Isorka charging port just outside our building (number 4), so we were able to charge our car overnight. Woo hoo!

Old 2 star motel/hotel. Don't let the newest picture fool you. Odds are you will be in another building with old mattress and pillow. The shower are very similar to soviet era hospital shower. It's clean though. I guess it's the most important. But forget the romantic getaway. Especially if you've been camping for the last five days. Service is ok. Nothing more nothing less.

Unser Zimmer war für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend. Allerdings machte es einen altbackenen Eindruck, obwohl man versucht hat moderne und Flair reinzubringen. Dies ist allerdings nicht ganz gelungen. Die Vorhänge lassen sich nur mit viel Geduld vollständig verdunkelt schließen, was im Winter in Island aber keine Rolle spielt.
Einzig das Bad lässt zu wünschen übrig, der Wasserdruck der Dusche gleicht eher einem kleinen Rinnsal und man hat kaum Ablageflächen an oder neben dem Waschbecken. Es gibt im Hotel Shampoo, Seife und Duschgel von der regionalen Marke Blaer mit handgepflückten isländischen Kräutern, das aber für meinen Geschmack riecht wie ich mir den Geruch eines sich frisch im Moos gewälzten Islandpferdes vorstelle - wir hatten aber unser eigenes Duschzeug dabei. Positiv ist selbstverständlich, dass hier auf regionale Produkte zurückgegriffen wird - mir muss ja nicht alles gefallen ;-)
Das Abendessen im Restaurant ist in Ordnung, wenn auch landestypisch teuer. Das Gericht des Fotos (Burger mit Pommes und Saibling mit Wurzelgemüse) kam mit einem Glas Bier und einem Cappuccino auf circa 90€. 9€ für ein Glas Bier sind hier in Island völlig normal, auch wenn wir daheim hierfür einen halben Kasten Tegernseer bekommen.
Alles in Allem für eine Nacht in Ordnung - heute ziehen wir weiter!
