Das Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Lage in der Stadt Vik ist unspektakulär, aber spektakulär ist die Lage Viks im Süden Islands. Nach einem fantastischen Tag auf der Ring-Straße war das Hotel der krönenden Abschluss des Tages. Das Ambiente und die Architektur sind sehr harmonisch und alles wirkt durchdacht und aufeinander abgestimmt! Das erzeugt direkt ein Gefühl von Wohlsein und Geborgenheit. Der Empfang war sehr sehr freundlich und informativ. Man reservierte uns direkt einen Tisch im hauseigenen, ausgezeichneten Restaurant.
Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, super sauber und stimmig. Das Badezimmer stand dem in Nichts nach. Wir haben auf sehr bequemen Betten geschlafen und das WLAN war stark und zuverlässig. Die große Glasfront im Zimmer schafft viel Platz und lässt den Blick schweifen.
Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Es rundete den Gesamteindruck des Hotel ab. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieses tolle Hotel gehen. Je nach Route auch für mehr als 1 Nacht, denn dafür ist das Hotel schon fast zu schade!
Negativ:
Durch die großen Fenster kann natürlich auch jeder vom Parkplatz und den umliegenden Gebäuden/Straßen ins Zimmer rein schauen, das sollte man wissen. Ist aber keinen Abzug wert, denn andersrum kann man natürlich auch schön rausschauen und wenn es dunkel und intim wird, dann sind eh die Vorhänge zu!
Oder man ist auf der Bergseite, dann schaut man nur ins grün!
The lobby and staff were amazing and extremely friendly. Having a late night bar in the lobby was great. Met several people enjoying their vacations and had some very good signature drinks. We would definitely stay here again. Plus it is close to several places we needed to go to grab a few things.
The breakfast was also one of my favorites in all of the places we stayed in iceland.

Zimmer sauber und praktisch eingerichtet, schönes Bad. Sehr nettes Personal, fantastisches Restaurant. Frühstück für einen guten Start in den Tag wird angebotenen, frisches Obst. Brötchen fehlen leider.

Great hotel highly recommend
Nos quedamos 2 veces en días diferentes. La
Primera noche nos tocó una habitación súper bonita, amplia y con todo lo necesario, pero cuando regresamos nos dieron una habitación en una ampliación del hotel y la habitación súper básica, no había secadora, mucho más pequeña, cuando te bañas se sale el agua de la regadera.
I had larger rooms on a cruise for goodness sake. The parking!
It's been almost a month and I'm still seething about it. From the picture you will see the cars parked so far away is no joke. There's a HUGE space in front of the hotel enough for 2 helicopters to land. The BUS parking lanes took the whole front of the hotel. What makes me crazy about all this is, Vik is infamous for it's weather. Blizzards, Hurricane Winds and Blinding Rain makes this place challenging. SO why in God's name will you require your guests to park so far away? And the front doors are equally far as well. Do yourself a favor, stop at Vik and enjoy yourself but DO NOT STAY here.
La chambre en elle-même n'était pas mal, mais il y a un problème d'insonorisation : j'ai entendu les ronflements de la chambre voisine.
Expérience correcte en général.
Con - Rooms have zero insulation despite being all concrete and only two floors. For the premium price, we were sorely disappointed. You can hear absolutely everything from above, next too and in the hall from your room. Think chairs screeching on the floor, 'adult time' in the room next door and talking in the hallway (word for word). Then th worst part - any door that opens rattlings everything in your room. It felt like a bus terminal that was super cold, desolite and needed some charm. If you are a heavy sleeper, maybe the concerns won't bother you.
Free breakfast was also bleak. Check in was odd as they lost our reservation then 'found it's when we showed our email confirmation .
