Quedamos encantados con nuestra estancia en Stone Town House, muy buena ubicación , Simón el gerente que hablaba perfecto español nos ayudó en todo lo que le consultábamos, obtener tarjetas para los teléfonos, sitios para visitar y todo tipo de consejos para facilitarnos nuestro viaje

A hostel that gets all the important stuff right - clean, comfortable beds, plugs by the bed (with EU plugs!), good AC, shower with good pressure etc. Very tasty breakfast at the Stone Town Café as well, with the best coffee I’ve had in Tanzania.

But what really makes the place stand out is Simone - the human embodiment of “going above and beyond”. I was in Dar es Salaam for business and decided to hop over to Zanzibar for a weekend, without any real plans. Simone not only gave fantastic recommendations for how to spend the weekend, he even organised a scooter for me to rent and the Zanzibar driving permit. And all with a smile and great humour!

If I could give more stars, I would. The place is typically stylish and it is in a great central position. The rooms are clean and big, well organized and the beds are very comfortable. The personnel is great, in particular the manager Simon gave me great suggestions every time and helped a lot. Frankly grateful for this experience

Great location in the centre of town. The owner is a pleasant and helpful guy. He met us when we checked in and gave us a map of the city and some great tips about where to eat and what to see. Room was nice and had good A/C.

Hotel en el centro de la ciudad donde se puede ir andando a cualquier sitio, llegamos por la noche pasadas las 12am y no tuvimos ningún problema para entrar en el hotel. Nos registramos al día siguiente. El dueño del hotel, Simon es sin duda el mejor anfitrión que hemos tenido en Zanzibar. Amable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar, te dará los mejores consejos para comer y conocer la ciudad. Incluso nos reservó un tour porque tuvimos problemas con la página web. El hotel es muy sencillo, pero para una o dos noches es perfecto. Todo estaba bastante limpio. La ducha inunda un poco el baño, pero ese tipo de baño es bastante común en la isla. Creo que lo único que falta en las habitaciones es una mesita de noche y alguna mejora en la decoración. Había olor a humedad el día que llegamos, pero creo que es un problema estructural del edificio y no se puede hacer mucho al respecto. Tened en cuenta que no hay ascensor y que las escaleras son bastante empinadas si lleváis maletas grandes. Gracias una vez más por todo Simon.

Excellent rapport qualité prix, les chambres sont bien équipées, les salles de bains sont propres et spacieuses. Et l'emplacement est idéal !

Nous avons également tout particulièrement apprécié l'accueil du personnel. Le propriétaire est au petit soin pour ses clients et prend le temps de délivrer plein de bons conseils.
Notre séjour à Stone Town House était parfait, merci beaucoup ! Nous reviendrons !

I loved staying here. Simone is incredibly friendly & welcoming wth suggestions of places to eat out & things to see. I found the hostel so relaxing I ended up staying three nights instead of my intended one. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh sheets, I would say the only drawback was the lack of a social space but I still met some lovely people in my dorm and overall had a great stay

I was meant to stay only 1 day, but, I ended up staying 3. The house is beautiful, the cleanliness is on point, the rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and the location can not get any better. However, what it really makes this place is the staff, buddy (the cat) and offcourse Simone. He is so knowledgeable about every activity happening around the island, has great tips depending on what you like and he helps with anything you could potentially need. He also speaks fluently many languages (Italian, Spanish, French, English and Swahili), which it also adds to the experience.

If you go to Stone town, do not hesitate to book your stay in Stone Town House
