1. It is a family business and the young owner is doing his best in many ways to maintain the hostel and respond to the needs of the customers. ATTENTION: some hostels in the country only call themselves Zaya and steal the good name that is known throughout the country!
2. The location is top central: in just a few steps you are in the middle of life in Ulaanbaatar and it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the most important and most beautiful museums (Central Museum, National Museum, GenghisKhanMuseum) or squares! Small snack bars or restos are also within walking distance and a large supermarket (Sansara) is practically on the doorstep, as is a shopping center (Department Store) - it's worth taking a look at the 4th floor here if you still have money left over for beautiful, more exquisite souvenirs .
3. the accommodation is safe and clean; The service is good and there is always someone on site to answer any questions. Laundry can be washed and (air and machine) dried. There is a kettle and a fridge in the kitchen - you can buy and store your own provisions. Internet connection is available in several places of the residential area, ie. if there are problems with a line, you can easily avoid it... The people who stay in the ZayaHostel are great - very friendly individual tourists and small groups.
Dislike · ...I can't think of anything bad only that I was not sure in the beginning, if this was good to book, because the homepage was down - also, the building looks a bit like not the best skyskraper. But this is due to the limited living space in UB. The language skills of staff were low in English but the owner has great English, Russian Skills and the staff also always tried to manage communication.
