The heater did not work, they had to bring me a portable heater the second night... The room smelled bad, the desk told me might be the cleaner they use which has a very strong smell. The WiFi was awful, kept disconnecting and they had to reset it. This was almost the worse hotel I've been to in South Lake Tahoe!

Nicely positioned affordable motel right off the central main street in South Lake Tahoe. Trenton the manager gave us a great couple of recommendations for dinner which were only a short walk away. Plenty of parking. Great bagels and plenty of coffee in the morning for breakfast, but fruit hadn't been delivered that day. We were invited to leave our car parked after checkout while we explored the town

Ok, the staff are all fantastic! Best part of our stay and they had great recommendations for places to visit and eat!

The FYI: all the rooms are complete carpet except for the bathroom, but NO BED BUGS AS OF 3/16. And we CHECKED EVERY PLACE WE COULD THINK OF TO BE SURE! The heater WORKS, if you are a light sleeper (as am I) you want to get the room a litter warmer than your preference and then TURN IT OFF. IT'S LOUD in a way that's hard to ignore unless you have ear plugs. The refrigerator is also a little noisy BUT I was able to sleepy through that just fine. I love that the room has both a microwave and fridge!

The curtains that give you privacy can leave a little gap that interrupts the flow of COMPLETE privacy will let light in, which is ANTI-NAP if you ask me. BUT if you draw both closed and use a Bobby pin, or clip, complete privacy is achieved and you aren't doing anything permanent or damaging to the curtains.

Shower Temps were consistent! ???? Community bath products were fine,not terrible but not over the top fantastic. I will say though, the scent of the body wash and conditioner were GREAT!

If staying during colds months, the extra blankets are in the 2nd and 3rd drawers of the dresser. And they help!

The coffee needs A LOT of Creamer if you don't like it strong or you can add more sweetener. If you drink it black....you...are probably the type to also wrestle bears but I try not to judge ;)

Tip housekeeping if you plan to have cleaning done. Because while tipping culture IS getting out of hand, housekeeping is definitely something you should tip for.
And they are trained to only take $ if it is left on the nightstand or bed. I left our Tip on the dresser and it was there when we got back and the nice lady at the front desk said that's because they're honest and those 2 spots (bed/nightstand) are usually where people leave tips.

It is walking distance from Heavenly.

PARKING IS LIMITED, even more so when it has been snowing! If you can, leave your car parked and just walk or uber.

Breakfast- while it is certainly NOT breakfast one would get at 4 or 5 star, it does the job. Orange juice, coffee, milk. A great variety of tea and instant oatmeal. On our last day they did bring out a lot of fresh fruit, which was nice. Bagels and toast are in a separate room, just walk straight back. You DON'T NEED YOUR KEY CARD to enter, just turn and push the door handle like it owes you money. Ok, maybe not THAT hard. From 8 to 10, it's open.

At check in you get the cutest Lindor truffle pack!

Again, the staff was great! This trip was just hubby and I but next time, we plan to bring the kid's.

Great Place to Stay for visiting Salt Lake Tahoe

Outstanding staff and great central location

Please book your stay at this hotel! I made the mistake of booking a room with 3 Peaks Hotel and they were horrible! Horrible management and staff. Cruel to me and my husband and dog..they have attitudes and DO NOT CARE about anything. NO HOT WATER Bed bugs and cockroaches! The 3 Peaks Hotel should be SHUT DOWN! They will not accommodate you or care for you and your family at their property!

Love this spot and have stayed here multiple times for the past two seasons!

*Location is unbelievable- walking distance to the gondola and to all the restaurants and bars in South Lake Tahoe. You can also leave your car here on checkout day if you are skiing on your last day.

*Complimentary breakfast is solid: bagels, toast, oatmeal, granola bars, juice and coffee.

*Rooms are cozy and decent-sized, with plenty of space for ski equipment.

*Staff is really responsive and accommodating if you book through their website. It’s also very easy to call them and make a reservation by phone.

If you’re looking for a low frills spot where you can easily ski and enjoy South Lake Tahoe, this is it!

I got a covid canceled 3 days before arrival to not only be safe care for hotel staff and others but the management of the hotel are very rude mean and careless they still charged me a whole day i even dispute the charges and the management challenged the dispute i should it go and get everyone exposed as the management rather, i guarantee they even sold the room to someone else since i canceled 3 days sooner and they were fully booked and doubled their money i dont recommend this hotel and their management to anyone.

Blue Lake is the best place to stay in Tahoe. It’s in a perfect location and has all the charm of Classic Tahoe. One of the last free breakfasts in all of California I’m sure. The beach is a block away and Heavenly Village and The Casino’s are a block away as well. European skiers in the know love this gem.

Great price very accommodating staff when presented with requests. Rooms a little bit dated, but price more than reflects this. Most importantly, the rooms and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Would definitely come back.

Schönes familiäres Motel am Ort. In sehr guter Lage zum See und zum "Centrum". Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, Zimmer Motel typisch.

Nice friendly staff. Plenty Parking on both side of building. The Room I stayed was not fancy or high end but clean, comfy and functional.

The only complain is the coffee table is wobbly and needs to be fixed. Breakfast is offered but don’t expect luxury meal with lots variety.

It’s very short walking distance to lots restaurants and shops. I would stay again for the great value. Highly recommend.

Tijdens een groepsreis door Californië hebben we 1 nacht ik dit hotel geslapen.
Prima hotel voor 1 nacht. De auto kun je voor de deur parkeren. Het zwembad was echter dicht.
De kamers waren ruim en de bedden lagen lekker. De waterdruk was in dit hotel perfect! De hele vakantie heb ik geen beste waterdruk gehad, maar hier was het perfect!
Er werd gezegd dat er een continentaal ontbijt was. Echter was dit alles behalve continentaal en kon je bagels warm maken in een toaster en beleggen met cream cheese of aardbeien jam. Dit was jammer, maar ja je moet toch wat eten ‘s ochtends! De locatie is top. Het centrum van South Lake Tahoe is op loopafstand.

Was very impressed with the hospitality and the continental breakfast was nice. Will definitely go there again. Room was very nice and clean.

Been coming here for more than 10 years now. Rooms are outdated but overall the hotel is good. Safe parking lot for both cars and motorcycles.

Emplacement à deux pas du télécabine (pas besoin de prendre la voiture !). chambre bien, calme, avec voiture juste devant la porte. Salle de petit déjeuner trop petite. Petit déjeuner quelconque et avec très peu de choix.

Un motel très agréable et très pratique. Localisation parfaite, à quelques centaines de mètres de la plage (accès gratuit avec un bon donné lors du check-in). Accueil très prévenant et sympathique. Chambre sans surprise, mais confortable, propre et calme. Wiki OF, café offert le matin. Le gros plus est le rapport qualité-prix. Pourquoi payer le double pour des prestations identiques juste à côté ?
