Absolutely magical! We've spent our honeymoon there and it was more than perfect. The room was waiting for us, cozy and lit up even as we arrived after main desk's opening hours. There was even a lovely surprise inside for the newlyweds ???? The owner is the nicest person and she makes sure all your needs are taken care of. She was calling us on our way up to give directions too. I really hope we will be back some day!

Stayed here for a night. Super clean, cozy cottage, hot water, heater through the fireplace a bonus (warmth with ambiance), plenty of towels, super friendly staff. Super yummy breakfast included. Walking distance to the lake. We'll definitely come back.

This place is a dream. We stayed in Sierra Sunrise and loved everything about it — updated, the bedding omg, spacious, cozy, balcony with partial lake view… and the entire place looks like a little German village. The complimentary breakfast daily was so delicious and had great variety; delivered to your room. Service is wonderful - both the owner and receptionist are hands on “let me do it for you” and very hospitable. Let’s talk about location - it is STEPS to the most beautiful part of the lake, great dining options, and a quick drive to more shops and ski resorts. I can’t say enough good things about- sad to leave. Book it, don’t think twice!

IT IS NOW 7pm on 7/31/23 and just got home from an Incredible Weekend stay at the Cottage Inn. The Innkeeper has poured her heart and sole to make sure your stay is perfect! AND IT WAS….My wife and I stayed in the Lazy Lake Cabin which was Sooooo Confortable. No expense has been spared to make the Cabins awesome. Do not Think twice….BOOK IT!!!

We had an amazing time staying in the dreamcatcher room for our honeymoon. Service was friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Will definitely be back.

A gem.

The owner and staff are super kind,
Rooms are charming and the location is just perfect, including for skiing in Palissade. The market daily and Spoon restaurant just 200 ft away are the icing on the cake.

If you re looking for the opposite of an impersonal hotel, this place is for you.

The perfect cabin getaway near Tahoe City. My wife and I stayed here during a ski trip to Palisades and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect because you are close to Palisades, but still far enough from Tahoe City that it is quiet.

The rooms are cozy and the decor matches the Tahoe scenery. Our room had a small fireplace that really warmed up the room. It can be a little bit tricky to manage the temperature in the room when it gets cold at night though.

The breakfast boxes were such a pleasant surprise. You fill out a small form the day before and leave it outside your room. You select the food options, such as yogurt, granola, fruit, hard boiled egg, pastry, and egg dish (frittata or so) as well as the pick up time in 30 minute increments. I ate the whole thing, went skiing, and was full until almost 3pm. So delicious and filling. Not sure about those with food allergies and sensitivities.

We will definitely be coming back for another trip.

Great little place with loads of charm. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Boxed breakfasts were surprisingly tasty and a great start to our days.

Our stay was lovely. The Cottage Inn was so cozy, and whoever is cooking breakfast knows what they’re doing. It was delicious, we didn’t need to eat lunch. The rooms are comfortable and the everyone we met and who worked there was friendly and kind.

Very convenient location, warm and quiet room (no noise by air conditioning), excellent breakfast brought to the room by a friendly staff. Contactless check-in/out made it a very pleasant stay.

Such a beautiful gem minutes away from Tahoe City. I'd stay here again when I visit in the future. To think in the past I've driven by this place before is hard to believe. When you check a room out, your room key grants you access to Tahoe Park Beach. The deli counter at the Cozy Cottage Inn is open from 10am to 3 or 330 pm. I will have to get a custom sandwich next time. Rooms are between 390 to 450 or more a night. But, you feel like you're in a genuine cabin, with Tahoe Beach and shopping mere minutes away. The breakfast available changes daily, and you place a placard on your door with what items you want for that morning. Room service picks up the cards by 630, and delivers breakfast an hour later. A group was celebrating someone's wedding the night of, and the party ceased by 10pm. I would definitely stay here again, now my home away from home ????.

One of the best places to live at Lake Tahoe that provides a unique experience with the kindest staff.
Rooms are cozy, really pretty and have a cottage-like feel, perfect for a weekend getaway with your partner and/or friends. The Inn on the whole has a welcoming vibe and also provides access to a private beach which is beyond amazing.

We had the best time even though we only spent a night here!

Fantastic place to stay in Lake Tahoe. Rooms and grounds are super clean. Owner and staff are very attentive. Tasty breakfast. Private beach access is a nice amenity.

This review is not based on a stay as we had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts. I am a business owner too, I wanted to share this for all to see. Kelly (Owner) is going to be very successful with this property as I can tell through her customer service. She cares for her business and her customer(s). I had booked through a 3rd party (my mistake) and needed to cancel after the 2-week window in order to get my deposit back. I spoke with Kelly, and she explained the procedure. I totally agreed with her and understood that canceling the Thursday before (we were set to arrive that Sunday) will jeopardize her not being able to fill a cottage that should have been used by use. I also understand that being a business owner people will cancel and it's all part of doing business. I am upset that we are not going to be able to meet Kelly and experience a relaxing trip at The Cottage Inn...this time around. What we know, based on how Kelly treated us with respect and understanding, we will return, and we will recommend people stay at her property based on her excellent customer service.

Kelly, I am sorry for cancelling and jeopardizing further revenue for those days we booked. Hopefully you'll be able to get someone to fill out spot. Thank you for being understanding. We wish you the best.

We stayed in the Dreamcatcher room and even 3 years later, this was the dreamiest place we’ve stayed! The coziest, cutest place ever. We will definitely be back soon!
