The food was excellent, the family house where i slept with the children was very nice. Service was good, only that at peak times they seemed overwhelmed, the waiters would forget our orders - the drinks in particular. Otherwise, i enjoyed my stay. I will definitely visit again

Well where to start?
Let’s start with the good things. Is a beautifully located, peaceful resort. The rooms are spacious and well tended and staff are very friendly. Also I’d heartily recommend the fired Tilapia for dinner.
But there are downsides. Big downsides. The resort is run down and little effort is made beyond the rooms. Cheap plastic chairs, pealing dirty bench’s, metal loungers without cushions and bizarre seats made of tires around the fire (which is almost never set). The restaurant room itself is dreadful with a wood board and plastic nets preventing any of the wonderful views whilst you sit on nasty seats against plastic covered trestle tables..
There might be quads and water activities but you’ll never know. They’re not advertised anywhere and it’s completely unclear what (if anything) the resort offers outside of a very sad tennis net.
Also be prepared to be woken at 05:00am every morning as the power is cut at 12:00 then switched on again with a loud click and any lights or electronics you had on waking up. So good luck sleeping with fan if it’s hot. Oh and you’ll need to ask for the room to be cleaned and give the maid the key.
Which brings us on to the restaurant. The strangest arrangement I have ever come across. Don’t expect to have a nice lay in after you’ve been woken at 05:00am because… The restaurant will phone you at 08-08:30 (the phones aren’t by the bed) to tell you either that breakfast is ready or you’re the last person who hasn’t had breakfast (which allegedly doesn’t finish until 10:00).
Believe me unless you’re very hungry don’t get up. It’s an extremely basic breakfast of at best lukewarm pre cooked Uganda staples with dismal drink quality and options. Oh and insect’s literally crawling in their dozens on the open sugar jar.
Oh and as for dinner whilst the food is a little better (aside from fish it’s very average). You’ll again be called incessantly by the restaurant in your room..… why? Because everything takes an hour (!) to cook and they want your order. So don’t expect to just go to the restaurant and something just arrive!!
So all in all a very frustrating experience which is a same because it could be such a great place.

Terrible food. Onion soup full of black pepper. No spring rolls, no samosa, no noodles (!), No spare ribs, where to stop? The beef was terrible, just chunks of fresh beef cooked and warmed up in a indefinable sauce. The mashed potatoes were good. Decided to eat in a pork joint in the evening, for reasons of risk mitigation.
The thatched hut was ok. The bathroom was terrible, needs urgent renovation. The term 'the throne' becomes a new meaning.
