Restaurant partageant une cuisine d'aujourd'hui à Lyon.
Chez Pimousse appartient depuis plus de deux ans à Pierre-Michaël Martin. Dans ce quartier jusqu'alors peu fréquenté, Pimousse – surnom du chef – s'est tout naturellement imposé comme un incontournable de la bistronomie lyonnaise. Dans un décor qui conjugue habilement élégance d'une ancienne maison close (ça ne s'invente pas) et notes plus champêtres, la cuisine de Pimousse fait mouche de saison en saison. Produits frais et locaux préparés dans des recettes issues de la tradition française : incontournable lièvre à la royale (en saison de chasse), surprenante Saint-Jacques, tête de cochon en civet et légume racine. A la fois déroutant et réconfortant, tout ce qu'on aime.
1. The chicken liver pudding was a complete disappointment. Not only was it lacking in balancing flavor, but it also had an unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, I found sand in the pudding, which was a rather unpleasant surprise.
2. The behavior of the waitress left much to be desired. Instead of providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, she treated non-French-speaking patrons with utter rudeness. It's disheartening to see such poor customer service in a supposedly reputable establishment.
3. The wine pairing service was subpar. One would expect that when changing wines, the staff would provide fresh glasses to enhance the tasting experience. However, this was not the case. The lack of attention to detail in such a fundamental aspect of dining was truly disappointing.
4. The exorbitant prices for both the food and the wine pairing were simply not justified. At a staggering Euro 150 per person for the food alone, and an additional Euro 50 for the wine pairing, one would expect a truly exceptional culinary experience. Sadly, the quality of the food and service did not live up to the steep price tag.
5. The final dish served was a haphazard combination of leftovers from previous courses. It felt like the chef simply threw everything together to hastily conclude the dinner. This lack of creativity and attention to detail is unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to offer a high-quality dining experience.
Overall, my visit to this restaurant in Lyon was an underwhelming and regrettable experience. From lackluster dishes to poor service and exorbitant prices, it failed to meet even the basic standards of a decent restaurant. I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money at this establishment.
