Cozy little restaurant in the middle of Menton's pedestrian zone. This review is not a general description of the restaurant, because that would not be fair. There were four of us who had food, and two of us really appreciated their main course, while there were two of us who unfortunately did not. Those of us who had a less good experience had the same meal. The less good review goes to the Rib-eye steak, which was so tough that we gave up eating it. The waiter brought the experience to the kitchen, and came back with a longer incomprehensible explanation. The fact was that we did not get good meat, and there was no refund in the price, or an offer of a free dessert. The staff was so nice and attentive, so they deserve high praise. If the kitchen had been more appreciative, I would probably have been more understanding, and thus be able to recommend the place, but the place left me with a different experience.

Des plats originaux et très bons. Je reviendrais pour reprendre la tarte tatin de tomates caramélisés qui était excellente ! Le dessert mousse de chocolat l’était aussi.

We stumbled upon this Bistro, having been to Menton many times. We absolutely loved the food and the service was friendly. We walked in without reservation, as did others on the Saturday night we were there. Went back on a Monday night (30/06) we were so excited to try it again. The restaurant was less than 1/3 full, and it was early (7:30), but the lady said as we didn’t have a reservation, they couldn’t give us a table. Maybe all the empty tables were booked for 8pm. We were so disappointed. It is absolutely worth a visit, the best food we’ve had in Menton, but maybe make a reservation.

Visited this restaurant with quite high expectations which were unfortunately not met. We ordered baby squid salad and beef as starters, very nicely served but the taste was nothing special than usually served in much less awarded bistros. The main dishes: shrimps were very nice but the lamb was too well done and the smell was very specific which is not normally the case with lamb done per recipes that make this meat pleasant to eat. Good kids menu.Service not as professional as you could expect in place rated so highly, it was probably an accident but the toilet was dirty which also should not be happening in such place. Products were for sure of high quality but the service and taste unfortunately far below expectations.

What an original place - the food is outstanding, fresh and creative. We loved the experience and the fact that they have an indoor play area for our 2 years old. Fantastique!

We had our best meal here in 3 weeks of travel in France and Italy. Alain and the entire staff made our evening a wonderful experience including an unexpected surprise for a special occasion. The food is amazing contemporary Provincial. Service is impeccable and friendly. The room is beautiful and the outdoor tables face a beautiful old street. Great vibes here. I highly recommend ????????????✌️

A refined spot in Menton worth visiting.
We tried the Cromesquis de ris de veau — beautifully executed, crispy outside and rich inside. The baby calamari was delicate and flavorful, and the turbot with violet asparagus and sauce vierge was perfectly cooked, with great balance and harmony between fish and vegetables. We paired it with a gorgeous white wine (Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc), which elevated the experience. Service was attentive and professional. A strong recommendation if you’re looking for thoughtful cuisine in a calm setting.

Exceptionnel ! Une soirée pour fêter l'anniversaire de ma femme. On a été ravi de ces plats frais, gourmand, avec des saveurs exceptionnelles.
Le cadre est de style bistrot avec une cuisine gastronomique incroyable.

Bon resto au service efficace et serviable, mais un peu impersonnel. Plats de bonne qualité, mais ne méritant pas l'adjectif de bistronomique, les viandes ne faisant pas l'objet d'une préparation particulière. Le filet de bœuf servi avec une petite salade et des frites: il s'agit là d'une préparation que je peux faire moi-même chez-moi...

Nous ne courons pas après les restaurants du Michelin mais celui-ci nous a été recommandé.
Nous avons apprécié nos deux serveurs dans des styles très différents et avons savouré d'excellents plats.
Même Monsieur qui n'est pas "sucré" s'est régalé de son dessert.

Fruktansvärt bemötande!
Vi får in fel köttbit. Den byts ut . Sedan tittar servitören inte åt vårat håll mer . Vi sitter i en timme innan vi får kontakt med en annan servitör för att beställa efterrätt. Aldrig varit med om sådant beteende!

Accueil parfait de la part des 2 serveurs, services impeccable, cuisine excellente, beaucoup de saveurs, belle présentation des assiettes. Une belle adresse à retenir dans la ville de Menton.

Pas toujours facile de satisfaire l'ensemble des membres d'un groupe même si le restaurant avait été privatisé pour notre groupe le jour d'un défilé de la fête des citrons, les demandes de modifications d'entrées ont été acceptées avec le sourire.
Le service rapide et chaud pour tous. Les plats excellents.
Bravo à toute votre équipe. Je recommande.

Attente beaucoup trop longue. On sait que les produits sont frais et cuisinés maison… mais 1h pour être servis, c’est inadmissible !! Un amuse bouche aurait été bienvenu pour patienter ! Une mignardise avec le café aussi, du niveau d’un restaurant bistronomique. Et la serveuse aurait pu être plus souriante et compréhensive à nos remarques.

Ottima qualità, un bellissimo ambiente moderno ma con una calda accoglienza, cucina creativa con prodotti freschissimi, pesce e carne preparati con conoscenza della materia. Carta dei vini un po' limitata ma sufficiente per soddisfare tutti i palati. Consigliato sicuramente, spero di avere l'occasione per tornarci in futuro
