My favorite kind of dinner experience!!! Walking through an old French hill top village, up and down cobble stone paths and narrow winding streets to a small unassuming door to enter an intimate space that feels like being welcomed into someone's home. The wife welcomed us and took care of the guests as her husband the chef, prepared the meals, using the brick open flame grill behind the bar to cook the meat. The food was meticulously prepared and flavors were amazing. We will go back!!! Parking is scarce, but keep driving around, searching, or if your car is small enough use the nearby parking garage with the lift.

Arrivati senza prenotazione, locale molto piccolo ma accogliente. Abbiamo atteso un po' di tempo per la nostra ordinazione,ma è stato tutto molto buono. ????

Nous avons été accueillis plus que chaleureusement dans ce restaurant intime avec une attention toute particulière pour une occasion spéciale. Le couple est ultra sympathique et aux petits soins. Quant à la qualité des plats ... rien à dire ! un sans faute, une cuisine excellente, avec des produits frais et fait maison. Un régal. Un restaurant qui se classe dans mon top 5 sur Cagnes !

Absolutely loved this place from the moment we walked through the door. The patron and his wife are super friendly, the space is small and comfy, and the food is excellent. We had a salad with goat cheese and some new season artichokes barigoule to start with. Both were simple, fresh, and very tasty. We followed with duck in fig sauce and loup de mer with beurre blanc. Both were cooked very well on the wood fire - and both the sauces were perfectly judged. We hadn't planned to eat dessert, but found space for a chocolate mousse and an apple tart. More classics, beautifully prepared. Go to Le Pérousin for a well priced, perfectly executed, friendly dinner. We will certainly be back

Sååå mysigt & gott! Vi fick ett "snacks" Socca, vilken början på middagen ????! Ankan måste provas med fikonsås likaså efterrätten fikon i rom & vaniljglass! Gå upp från Cagnes-sur-Mer lite backigt men värt all möda ????.

We hadden in voorgaande jaren 3 x in Le Pérousin gegeten en kwamen er op27 juni 2024 terug omdat het goed was. We waren met z’n 3 en. Ik kreeg een entrecôte vol met zenen die niet te snijden en te eten was. Ik heb dat aangegeven waarop men mjj een koksmes gaf. Dat hielp weinig. Ik heb nogmaals aangegeven dat het vlees niet eetbaar was, maar daar werd niet verder op gereageerd
Ik laat nooit vlees op mijn bord achter maar dit keer bijn de helft. De kok moet geweten hebben dat het vlees slecht was. Dacht men daar mee weg te komen omdat ze ons voor toeristen aan zagen. Dat zijn we niet, want we hebben een tweede huis in Frankrijk sinds 1990 en hebben er echt verstand van of een stuk vlees goed is
We hadden verwacht een ander hoofdgerecht aangeboden te krijgen of op zijn minst 1 gratis dessert of gratis koffie. Niets daarvan. Zelfs geen verontschuldiging. Ik heb dit eigenlijk nooit eerder ervaren. We hebben nog verschillende malen gedurende ons 3 mnd verblijf een entrecote in een restaurant gegeten, soms tegen een veel lagere prijs. In alle gevallen goed.
Le Perousin is best een leuk restaurant, maar we zullen er niet meer terug komen en het aan anderen afraden. Zo houd je geen klanten te vriend.

Tres bon accueil. Pour patienter, il nous est servi une assiette de socca très délicieuse. C'est la 1ère fois qu'on mange une si bonne socca et bien croustillante. Un digestif nous a été offert. Service très agréable. Peu d'attente. On a adoré et y retournerons très certainement.

Wow! Fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. We had a bottle of the house red wine, fish stuffed ravioli in beurre blanc, duck and prawns with the house sides of the day (julienned spring veggies, mashed sweet potatoes, and fresh French fries). All were homemade and you get a great romantic experience of seeing the fire where the proteins are prepared. We were also offered an amuse bouche of chickpea flour pancakes, local to the area and with a healthy punch of salt.
Do not skip dessert! We indulged in a sweet dessert wine and the best chocolate mouse we have ever had - a special recipe of the chef. We had the great experience of talking to the owners, a charming husband and wife duo, about food, France, and life. This restaurant is a can’t miss gem for locals and travelers alike.

Superbe endroit. Nous y sommes allés pour diner et le repas était excellent, avec une mention pour le carré d'agneau fondant, le poisson parfait en cuisson. Nous avons passé une belle soirée et les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathiques. Service parfait.

We have been traveling around France for about 5 months and so far this was my favorite place to eat. The waitress and chef were beyond friendly to this English speaker. The food was the best I’ve had since being in France. I had grilled vegetables in basil oil, beef filet with Roquefort sauce that was amazing. Tiny restaurant but they fit us in when our first reservation at another spot canceled on us. Thank you!!
