Bel endroit. Belle déco. Une belle sàm avec terrasse. Chambre spacieuse et confortable pkg privé.
Le restaurant est bien même s il y avait des longueurs dans le service.

This was an astonishing find, superb hotel with brilliant staff. Very good restaurant, excellent car parking facilities, dog friendly and fabulous breakfast.|This hotel was exceptional value and I imagine most of the clientele had stopped the night before the early ferry/train back to England.|45 minutes from Calais, located just off the motorway. Last minute booking but was very pleased with hotel. Managed to squeeze us in for a dinner as very busy and overall a very good night stay in a good location in our way back to Calais.

All I can say is, if you are English and speak little French then expect to not speak to any of the staff.

We arrived late in the day on our way back to Calais after a trip to the alps. I had booked an EV parking spot to charge over night.

After several attempts at connecting the charger I could not get this to work. We spoke to the woman on the front desk who understood what we were asking for help with but responded in full French knowing full well we spoke none. No one came to try and help or sort the problem. This meant me and the wife had to travel 30 minutes! To the closest charger.

This is totally unacceptable. We appreciate we are in another country and should know some local language but for a hotel which is located perfectly as a stop off before the ferry we would expect a far more helpful and welcoming staff. The fact that no one was willing to help and that we got spoken to in full French knowing we didn’t speak it was straight up rude.

The rooms:
Pretty ok room. The down side, every room has metal shutters on the windows which are in desperate need of some oil. My wife was woken all through the night from people opening and closing their shutters in surrounding rooms.

Overall, if you want a hotel as a stop off within an hour or Calais then this is great. Just don’t expect a friendly reception.

Delighted to have found this place. We wanted a hotel with a restaurant open on a Sunday evening.|We were impressed with how well cared for the outside was ,which augered well for the inside.|The gentleman on reception was friendly & welcoming as were the other staff we met during our stay.|The whole place looks & feels looked after , with an occasional quirky piece of art & sculpture.|Our room was spacious with a well appointed bathroom. The bed was very comfortable & the electric blinds were welcome ,given our day of travel, & made the room perfect for a good nights sleep.|The restaurant was elegant & tastefully decorated. The menu gave us good choices & the food was excellent. Wine list was complimentary for the menu.|Breakfast was in a different but equally attractive room & had a very good selection of fruits,cereals & breads . |All in all a very positive stopover & will be recommending to our family & friends.

Al vaak geweest in dit tophotel. Goede kamers, super vriendelijk personeel en een uitzonderlijk goede keuken maken een bezoek aan dit hotel zeker de moeite waard.|Ook de ligging vlakbij de snelweg is erg handig. In mijn optiek kun je niet beter zitten, altijd een prettige ervaring.

Nice hotel with lovely restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. Easily accessible from Calais to Paris motorway.

A wonderfully unique hotel offering excellent service.. we were returning from Spain and looking forward to a relaxing overnight to set us up for the horrors of the M25. Maison Rouge did not disappoint. The room was beautifully clean and inviting, one minor point was that we couldn’t operate the TV system ???? . We had direct access to a lovely sunny patio, where our little dogs could stretch their legs. The restaurant was beautifully traditional and the food and wine were excellent. All together a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the end of a long journey ….

Stayed as stop over from Calais driving south. A fabulous find just off the autoroute. Lovely spacious ground floor room, exceptional service and had the best hotel dining - nothing to fault

Un hotel qui merite 5 etoiles et le personnel 6. J y descend souvent pour le travail, toujours au top et le restaurant aussi.

We first visited La Maison Rouge in January 2010 when we came across it by accident searching for a place to stop as it was getting late and a blizzard was raging. We loved it then and we were delighted to find it largely unchanged on our latest visit this January. |The hotel is about an hour’s drive from the Calais Eurotunnel so makes for an ideal stop over on a relaxed journey down through France to the Alps. It’s 10 minutes off the motorway and the hotel has ample parking and a welcoming ambience. |The rooms are large with a dressing area, well fitted-out bathroom with double sinks and a separate toilet. The kingsize double bed was very comfortable and we both had the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a long while. |One of the best things about staying here is the restaurant, Le Cercle. It is superb. Linen tablecloths and chandeliers await you, as does attentive service and delicious food. The menu is a little limited and I suspect it changes regularly but it seems there are some staple ingredients. We’ve had scallops in one form or another every time we’ve stayed here over the years, and they are always delicious. Seafood features strongly on the menu and there’s usually a cut of beef on offer too. On this visit, Nick had scallops to start with and I had a vegetable soup with a poached egg nestled on the top. The starters were delicious. For main course, Nick had lamb which was perfectly cooked to medium with just a little pink showing accompanied by potato noisettes. I had sole meunière which was de-boned at the table, served with butter sauce and accompanied by mashed potato. It was fabulous. |There is an excellent wine list. I’m pleased to report that the house cocktail, which we first sampled many years ago, remains a champagne and grand marnier creation. We each then had just a glass of wine with our main courses. The desserts looked amazing but we both opted for the cheese. Very generous portions were served and I have to admit, I struggled to eat it all (but I forced myself!)|The only reason I haven’t given this 5/5 is that the bar area where we sat before dinner was rather cold. It’s definitely closer to a 5 than a 4. Also, the prices are a little steep, but you get what you pay for and I don’t mind paying when the service and quality is this good. We spent €149 on the room and €179 on dinner. |Highly recommended.

Stopped on my way to south of France. Delicious meal and staff very accommodating. Comfy bed in sparce bedroom.

EXCEPTIONNEL ! un lieu magnifique , un personnel attentionné, des chambres spacieuses et très propres....bref un hôtel à recommander. Le top du top : la cuisine d'un raffinement exquis et un buffet petit déjeuner de qualité et très varié. Avons découvert cet hôtel grâce à un Bongo et nous en sommes plus que satisfaits. Y reviendrons certainement.

Lovely hotel ideally placed for travelling to and from the UK. Staff are warm and welcoming. Rooms are clean and spacious and bed is large and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent. (and its dog friendly!!)

We find this the ideal location to spend the night travelling between UK and the continent. Great hotel, comfortable rooms, good restaurant with value for money

L’hôtel nous a bien aidé pour trouver une solution rapide lorsque nous avons eu un problème de véhicule au petit matin.

je suis allé déjeuner avec ma famille et sincèrement je suis interpellé par les avis positifs quant à la qualité gustative des plats. En ce qui me concerne, la sole que j'ai commandée par exemple accompagnée soit disant d'une purée au beurre n'était pas un plat digne d'une grande cuisine étoilée
De surcroit, ce plat était fade et ne correspondait en rien avec une véritable sole meunière cuisinée au beurre et accompagnée d'une purée maison digne de ce nom
A l'exception du champagne servi frais et de la bière pression de qualité, ce repas m'a laissé sur ma faim
Voila, je pense que c'était nécessaire de le dire
Maintenant, je n'ai pas gouté aux autres plats, je partage seulement mon expérience

Unfortunately, pretty poor envitonmental care. Individually wrapped toiletries, no veggie options on the menu and we chose the hotel for it's 4 x EV chargers, none of which worked.
The staff did their best to help us get some electric in the car but all failed. They were let down by the EV charger operator so I would suggest they change to a more reliable supplier.

Très bel hôtel avec parking sécurisé dans l'enceinte.
Très classe, élégant.
Le repas du soir était excellent. Nous avons pris du foie gras de canard en entrée, de l'agneau en plat et un gâteau au kirsch en dessert.
Le repas du matin est un buffet chaud et froid.
Les chambres sont assez grandes.
Petit bémol toutefois pour le détecteur de mouvements donc chaque fois que nous allions aux toilettes, la lumière s'allumait et réveillait la personne qui dormait.
La couette était trop épaisse et bien trop chaude ce qui nous a fait nous réveiller toutes les deux heures environ car trop chaud trop froid trop chaud et froid froid.
Matelas très bon. Pas trop dur, pas trop mou.
