Avis L'AUBERGE DE L'ÉTANG Magnac-Bourg

Bonjour,
J'ai passé une nuit en soirée étape dans cet hôtel en decembre.
Une horreur.
J'ai eu froid toute la nuit (comme toute les personnes présentes dans cet hotel je pense).
Le chauffage fonctionnait mais la chaudière ne montait pas l'eau assez chaude pour que les radiateurs puisse chauffer efficacement.
Tout simplement ils ne veulent pas chauffer car ça coute trop cher.... et bien dans ce cas on ne fait pas hôtel l'hiver !
Une honte.
Cela fait 15 ans que je dors 2 à 3 nuits à l'hôtel par semaine je n'ai jamais vu un aussi mauvais hotel ! Une honte !

Super restaurant très convivial avec de très bon plat

Nous avons réservé pour le restaurant. Rien à dire sur la qualité du repas. Par contre un petit sourire du patron aurai été le bienvenu. C'est dommage.

Restaurant très agréable côté terrasse et bonne cuisine

Très bon accueil

Magnac Bourg is a “village étape” and we chose to stop there one night, for the amnesties proposed by the logis auberge de l’étang and for the village itself. There are not many “villages étape” in France it is a king of touristic reward to villages that provide cultural history, a noticeable site nearby, and high standard accommodation or restauration. Let us now separate what is good in this place to what is not. NICE: The lady on the phone and at the reservation was very professional and pleasant to talk to. The hotel has a very clean pool surrounded by a pleasant garden overlooking an artificial lake and a superb location, the hotel has a MAGNIFICENT, jaw dropping dining room, superbly decorated around a black and white theme, simply gorgeous, then a nice continental breakfast with choice. The rooms are very quiet and that allowed us to sleep with the window open.
What is not nice, now: The gentleman, surely the manager of the place, that welcomed us; we told him our name and without saying a word (no good afternoon, no welcome to the auberge, nothing at all…) he clicked on the computer, stood up, walked to the staircase, picked up a key and said “room X”… that was a bit of a cold shower. The décor of the room is a bit “kitch” and the repeat of a tapestry pattern and colour on the curtain and on the bed-spread is not my kind of taste. Later on, I asked for the access to the pool: he stayed put in the kitchen and said “Through the restaurant”. Well… sorry sir, I just arrived, I do not even know where the restaurant is… and finally showed me the way. I discovered then the dining room and thought that we were going to have a good time. But to make it short; This dining room is just to look at… you cannot sit in it!!!!!! Instead of a nice dinner you have the choice between two cold dishes on the terrasse!!!!
We cancelled the pseudo dinner and venture in the village where we met a few locals That told us that the auberge was heaving a few years ago but was on the decline. Other crispy details rouse during the conversation but are not to be mentioned here. I salute here the effort of the lady to show a brave face on daily basis.
Please dust the lamp shades.......

Un menu avec choix entre 2 entre, 2 plats et 2 dessert. Par manque de personnel on nous explique que il n y a pas de carte. Mais vraiment c est parfait ainsi.Les plats sont savoureux, joliment présentés et le service impeccable.

Lovely meal with friendly staff. Just off motorway. Evening g menu look interesting so will need to try that out.

Très bien établissement propre, accueil agréable, excellente cuisine. Je recommande.

En soirée étape : très bon acceuil des propriétaires, bon repas du chef par interim et services du personnel agréable tous cela pour un tarif plus que raisonnable.

Sur ma route du retour, j'ai pu arriver tardivement, ????????cadre sympa avec piscine et étang, terrasse, et une bonne table ????????

Très bon rapport qualite/prix pour le restaurant. La nourriture est très fine et travaillée.

Nous n'avons eu l'occasion que de profiter du restaurant. Accueil sympathique, service soigné et agréables saveurs au rendez-vous. Un conseil. Sortez de l'autoroute et faites escale !

Patron très professionnel et sont épouse souriante et aimable nous avons passer un agréable week-end dans un cadre de verdure et calme à refaire

Hotel très agréable. Un menu pour tout le monde. Mais franchement, ce fût délicieux ????. Toutefois, le patron pourrait être un peu plus sympathique. Dommage !

Une véritable catastrophe de bout en bout. Accueil déplorable. Chambre petite à l'image de la télévision. Vue sur le jardin ou plutôt des arbustes. WC accolés au meuble du praticables. Une douche remplie de calcaire. Poussières à revoir surtout sous le lit (renuire d'ongle incluse). Pas de lumière le soir pour taper le code très pratique (la faute à la ville dixit la patronne). Pas de ménage quotidien pour cause COVID (COVID a bon dos en mai 2023). Linge de bain déposé dans son ensemble par terre devant la porte pour être remplacé selon consignes. Ou pas... Problème pris à la rigolade et avec condescendance du patron. Bref. A ne pas réitérer. Mon mail concernait le fait que vous avez mis mes données personnelles sur un site sans mon accord. Par ailleurs, vous oubliez mes excuses.

Joli cadre, belle terrasse et bon rapport qualité prix à l'Auberge de l'Étang. J'y repasserai sûrement un de ces jours.
