Ces jardins sont l’un des chefs-d'œuvre les plus emblématiques de l'art paysager français. Conçus sous le règne de Louis XIV par le célèbre jardinier André Le Nôtre.

Ils sont si vastes et riches en merveilles qu’une seule visite ne suffit pas à en apprécier toute la splendeur. Avec 815 hectares, des parterres symétriques, une multitude de bosquets, des fontaines animées, des allées majestueuses et des points d’eau, chaque recoin révèle une nouvelle facette du génie artistique et architectural du Grand Siècle.
Aujourd’hui, les jardins sont classés au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO et attirent des millions de visiteurs.

Ein riesiges, unüberschaubares Areal von Gartenanlagen, Brunnen, Schlössern, und diversen Bauwerken.
Zu Fuß an einem Tag nicht zu bewältigen. Hier hat sich ein absolutistischer Herrscher einen Traum erfüllt - in der heutigen Zeit ein unvorstellbares Vorhaben.
Je weiter man sich vom zentralen Schloss entfernt, um so kleiner wird die Zahl der Besucher. Man findet tatsächlich Bereiche, in denen man fast allein unterwegs ist.
Der Eintritt ist im Schlossticket enthalten. Freier Zutritt nur in der Nebensaison.

The Gardens of Versailles are absolutely stunning and a true masterpiece of landscape design. Walking through the perfectly manicured lawns, intricate fountains, and beautiful sculptures feels like stepping into a different era. The musical fountain shows add a magical touch, and the vastness of the gardens means there’s always something new to discover. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak in the grandeur of French history. Highly recommend renting a golf cart or bike to explore it fully—it’s massive!

The Gardens of Versailles are absolutely breathtaking and massive. The beautifully landscaped grounds, ornate fountains, and sculptures seem to stretch on forever. Walking it all can be a challenge.

Pro tip: Rent a golf cart! ???? It was a lifesaver and made exploring the entire garden so much more enjoyable. You can cover all the highlights without getting exhausted, and it's fun to zip around the paths.

Whether you're into history, gardens, or just beautiful scenery, Versailles is a must-visit. Renting a cart made it even better!

luogo magico da visitare e vivere anche in inverno. la sua maestosità è immensità veramente rapisce.

Roughly around £8 per person, and children was around £5/£6. We can quite late and it was very cold! so didn't get to see as much in the evening. A very big lovely garden with lights. We saw their lovely horses, chickens, rabbits etc. It would be better to arrive very early to explore this park and garden fully. Parking is available and is free.

In my opinion one of the best parts of the garden. I love the Orangerie and it’s symmetrically placed plants and trees. The care and hard work put into the maintenance of the Orangerie has to be appreciated!

Currently undergoing renovation, you will see construction equipment all over the grounds. With that being said, it is an amazing experience! You get to walk the paths as all the royal inhabitants did!!

The gardens are beautiful you can easily stay here all day. The fountain shows and the music as a background make the garden a really nice experience.

Je kunt je bijna niet voorstellen hoe groot de tuinen zijn. Mooi aangelegd en onderhouden. Als je hier rondloopt en je hoort de muziek op de achtergrond, waan je je zo in de 17e eeuw.

Presque aucune fleur au printemps, ce jardin est d'une tristesse...
La musique est composée de 4 titres et est diffusée sur haut parleur et tourne en boucle toute la journée. Ce qui finit par agacer.
La plupart des fontaines n'étaient pas allumées (visite le 5 avril donc aucun problème de gel, pas de vent non plus...).
Les spectacles de jet d'eau sont d'un vieillot... Il faudrait peut-être essayer de les améliorer avec des lumières par exemple.

Si vous recherchez un jardin où vous balader, préférez le parc des Seaux ou l'arboretum de Chatenay Malabry qui ne sont pas très loin.

We took a four day trip and still weren’t able to see it all. However you can rent a golf cart for EUR 40 per hour if you don’t feel like walking. But it isn’t half as fun as exploring on foot. Look out for hidden fountains and gazebos that’ll take your breath away with their size despite having to search them out.
