Hôtel très bien situé, à proximité du métro, des restaurants et d'au moins une salle de théâtre.
Les chambres sont très jolies, le petit déjeuner offre un large choix et peut-être délivré en chambre.
Ascenseur, salle de sport, petite terrasse.
Très bel espace pour se restaurer également avec une carte proposée par un chef extérieur excellent.
L'accueil et la propreté sont parfait.

This was my second time staying at The Chess Hotel Paris, and I even recommended a friend to book a room here as well during our trip. I’ve always appreciated the familiar and convenient location, the sense of safety when entering the building, and the helpfulness of the staff.
I like to book a room with a balcony, and this time I stayed in Room 403. On my previous visit, I stayed in Room 404, so this area of the hotel feels familiar and comfortable to me. The rooms are modern, well-designed, and equipped with everything you need. However, the mattress is very soft—not firm—which might be uncomfortable for guests who have back issues.
The reason I’m giving 3 stars this time is due to the serious cleanliness issue in our bathroom. There was a large amount of mold on the walls, which was disappointing and clearly unhygienic. This is something that I believe must be urgently addressed.
I still want to come back in the future, but I sincerely hope the hotel takes the cleanliness issue seriously and improves its housekeeping standards. Overall, many things are well-managed here—but hygiene must be a top priority.

Nice hotel and friendly staff! The location is great, a ton of places are walkable within 30 mins from here including the louvre, and sacre coeur.
The room isn’t too big but it’s nice, and you will be spending most of the time outside anyway.

Das Chess Hotel hat unseren Aufenthalt in Paris zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Die Lage ist hervorragend – zentral, aber dennoch ruhig, perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Die stilvolle Einrichtung mit viel Liebe zum Detail schafft eine warme, entspannte Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und während des gesamten Aufenthalts bestens betreut. Fragen, Wünsche oder Empfehlungen – alles wurde mit einem Lächeln beantwortet.
Unser Zimmer war modern, sehr sauber und ausgesprochen gemütlich. Die Betten sind bequem, die Badezimmer hochwertig ausgestattet und trotz der zentralen Lage war es angenehm ruhig – ideal zum Abschalten nach einem Tag in der Stadt.
Fazit: Wer Paris stilvoll und entspannt erleben möchte, ist im Chess Hotel genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Nice hotel conveniently located. The rooms are small but the service was wonderfully accommodating. I would visit again. However there was one staff who inappropriately used the hotel systems to obtain my personal information to manipulate himself into my life...be careful, no telling how many others he has done this to in partnership with his friend who works at another hotel bar.

I stayed on business but hotel felt more of the tourist category. Deluxe room was tiny. It was virtually just bed and really small round table in the corner. I stayed in many Paris hotels over the years and this room was the smallest. Closet behind the curtain. Internet for work call was actually decent. Safe worked.||There was no kettle or complementary water in the room. British tea lovers beware!||Prices in minibar: 7 euros for a can of sparkling water.||Window opens normally for fresh air and aircon heats properly.||Bathrobe and sleepers included.||I requested back side which was view to the wall but at least it was quiet at night. ||Hotel is in the side street - close to the shopping and metro station. You can easily arrive by metro from Gare du Nord with one change (line 4 and 9). I took uber once and if you can - avoid it as city centre traffic is horrendous, I spent one hour on one roundabout. Take the metro or just walk - it will be quicker.||Staff at the reception is friendly.||Overall it was fine for one night but there is nothing in particular that would call me back.

We stayed here for two weeks for my birthday and enjoyed lot things about the hotel. ||The staff were polite and friendly and our room was lovely, we loved the view and our small balcony onto the street. We would ask for room 503 if we stayed again. ||The only thing that let the place down was the cleanliness of the room. ||Firstly, whenever we opened the wardrobe we were met with a cloud of dust. I suspect on top of the fridge had never been cleaned. ||Secondly, the grout in the bathroom tiles was dirty. A quick scrub would sort it. ||Thirdly, the toilet bowl was dirty. Again, a quick scrub would sort. ||Fourthly, there was a hair in the sink when we arrived. We’re both male with short jar so definitely wasn’t ours!||Lastly, the sink drained super slow. This means that even if you washed your hands it would take ages for the water to go. ||It is really disappointing to have to write the above as everything else was perfect. ||The bed was comfortable. The room well decorated. ||If the few points were fixed we would stay again.

Stayed at the Chess Hotel between 13.10 -15.10, on the sixth floor, room 610.
I have chosen this hotel, based on the Trip Advisor reviews, mentioning that it was quiet, as I had bad surprises with three hotels, in the same area before.
I chose to have a room facing the inner court, and not the small street below, because sleep is important to me.
The first night was fine, because there was no one in room 611, and I had a good night rest.
Unfortunately, the second night it became obvious that the soundproofing is not good enough, because, with guests in the adjacent room, i.e. 611, I had one of the worst night rests in my life. Reception was called, they came 5-10 minutes after, when the guests in the other room stopped making noise, i.e. laughing, so the Reception concluded that there is no noise.
I am still hopeful that at some point in the future, instead of noisy hotel rooms, as tourists or when on business trips, people will sleep in sensory deprivation tanks, fully soundproofed, so that they can get a good night rest.

Just got back from a mini break as a family in Paris.
The Chess hotel was perfect, really nice rooms (we had two linked rooms 407&408 which was great for us with two kids), very good service and a great location.
I would recommend it to anyone and will use again when we return to Paris.

Локализация-супер. Находится прямо на улице Haussmann , чисто, уютно, есть тапочки, халат, кофе машина.|Отзывчивый персонал.|Завтрак хороший. У меня была делюкс комната и размер комнаты 20м2, ванная комната большая и уютная. |Только из окна смотрела прямо в стену (((.|Но в Париже так мало находишься в номере, что это не мешало ????.|Буду возвращаться еще раз в этот отель.

From the moment I arrived, they were interested from the reception to their interest in giving me a comfortable room for me, to their interest in the room tools and their interest in daily cleaning. The price is very fair in relation to the value of the reservation. It is one of the best locations in Paris. I hope that they will pay attention to developing themselves to reach the five-star level. They deserve it. I advise anyone in the hotel. I will repeat the experience with you very soon on a trip to Paris.

Ein sehr schönes zentral gelegenes Hotel. Super freundliches Personal. Hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Gutes Frühstück. Tolle Lage sehr viele Highlights in direkter Nähe. Gute Metro Anbindung. Schöne Zimmer mit guten Betten.|Leider hat der Fahrstuhl nur unregelmäßig funktioniert.

Just returned from a weeked at The Chess Hotel, and unfortunately I can't leave a good review. Upon arrival on Friday evening we were told that the only lift in the hotel was broken and our room was on the 5th floor. There was no offer to move us to a lower floor (presumably fully booked?) and no mention of any kind of compensation for the trouble. Thank goodness we don't have any mobility issues, but it really did put a damper on the weekend. The service was not great from start to finish with the hotel staff consistently complaining to us that they also have to use the stairs while the lift is out. For nearly 400 EUR/night I would have expected better service and some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. I cannot recommend this hotel when there are so many other great options in Paris.

Fantastic hotel management! I was going to stay the coming weekend at the CHESS hotel, had booked it via Agodo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to Paris because of Union strikes in Germany. According to Agoda's Terms & conditions, I should have either paid the full amount, or tried to re-book at a later time with potentially different pricing. It is only because of Pierre-Louis, the hotel director, who spoke out again Agoda and their business behaviour, why Agoda exceptionally accepted a free cancellation. My next stay in Paris will be with the Chess Hotel for sure! If the hotel & its service apply Pierre-Louis's service orientation, it can only be fantastic! Merci beaucoup!
