The most delightful small hotel in Paris! Perfectly located in the 6th with charming (tiny) rooms, a lovely lobby and breakfast room, great bed and bath linens, super gracious and friendly staff, on a quiet street just two blocks from the Seine... Stayed here 12 years ago and was so glad to return! A small gem in the City of Light. xox

Ett supermysigt litet designerhotell med perfekt löge och personalen är verkligen vänliga och mån om att ge god service. God och lagom stor frukostbuffé. Rummen är fina och välstädade, lyxiga hygienprodukter i badrummet. Lugn liten gata utanför hotellet. |Det enda minuset var att det är rätt lyhört mellan rummen. Skulle gärna bo här igen!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Verneuil. Impressive and well functioning hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quaint rooms. And the location is ideal, close to the Louvre, and accessible to the Batobus water taxi.

I had a whole tale written out about the issues we had at this property and why won't be staying again. But unfortunately Google has a word limit apparently. I'm uploading it as screenshots instead. Read those for the full story.

TL;DR - DON'T STAY HERE! Avoid this hotel if you don't want your things either stolen or thrown away. I had my Wedding Band and my backup ring taken from me while here. They also fraudulently charged us 1,200 extra dollars! It was eventually refunded (read updates for more information)

UPDATES:
1) No rings were found or returned. The front desk apologized again when we checked out but nothing else was done.
2) After we checked out we were informed we had to pay an additional city tax. Not a problem, we were told this when we checked in we had just forgotten about it. Well as we were landing from our international flight, I noticed a $1200+ charge on our credit card. When I called I was informed this was an accident on their part and it would be refunded. They said this without even asking who was calling or our room number. This seems like another red flag to my wife and I. After asking how they could possibly refund us without knowing who it was going to, the front desk took our name and room number. They apologized saying they must have accidentally clicked twice when charging our city tax... I'm not sure how that math works out when the city tax was approximately $75. We were told to wait up to 4 days before I'd see the refund. I'll update this review further if the refund shows up or if we end up needing to file a charge back.
3) After two weeks filled with multiple phone calls and emails we finally got the fraudulent charge refunded. We're glad that it is finally over and that this is behind us. I really can't stress you reading this TO NOT STAY HERE. It shouldn't have taken us this much effort to get this charge refunded.

The wifi works every couple minutes, very unreliably. Walls are so thin -- we never heard silence or anything remotely close to it. We heard our neighbors' conversations and the sex they had -- VERY hard to fall asleep. Good location and comfortable bed though.

Modern rooms in a historic building make for a pleasant surprise. The location is convenient, and it is a short walk to many museums. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I liked being able to open my window to get fresh air while sleeping. The bathroom was modern, with a great shower and plenty of hot water. The €24 breakfast buffet is excellent. It includes fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, dried fruits, boiled eggs, and a large assortment of breads and pastries. The staff was friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Fantastic service. From the time we entered to the time we left the service was fantastic and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the hotel was conveniently located. Paul was excellent as well as the manager with white hair. We got excellent recommendations from the staff for dinner. Would recommend this place to stay!! Thank you for a wonderful stay

Terrible, changed owners, no airco no heating no service. The below account is shows the misrepresentation. The courtyard room has a tiny window opening on a closed small dirty concrete court. Other hotels have the advertised airco working and its not up to the hotel to switch that off. When i complained i was laughed at. When i arrived there was nobody to help me with my bags as the elivator dosnt come down to the lobby.
The heating was also not working . I complained twice but nothing happened. There was never an offer to evict The breakfast costs 25 euros and the cappucino was burned . Let it cool down is not serious. No i didnt get the room or service the hotel presents on their website. I decided to change hotels as i had to work and had a great stay at hotel Pulitzer. Yes it had airco and heating and great cappucinos.

I loved Hotel Verneuil! There was a box of chocolate and a personalized note welcoming me to my room. The room is small but quaint and functional. Paris is a city that is centuries old with buildings that are just as old being converted to boutique hotels and they did an excellent job. My bed was comfortable. The furniture is modern. There is a stocked minibar that is complimentary. The bathroom is upgraded with L'Occitane products. The lobby is decorated beautifully. The elevator is small; they will bring your luggage to you. Be prepared to leave your key when you go out but that is no big deal. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will speak to you in French or English whichever you prefer. I tried to use French as much as I could. They arranged for my taxi to the airport on the last day. It was there on time. The hotel was generally a short 10 to 15 minutes or less Uber/taxi ride to everything I wanted to do. The cost was reasonable. I would definitely stay again!

Excellent séjour pour mes parents dans cet hôtel où le personnel / service sont d'une grande qualité.
Ils ont été charmé par la décoration et l'ambiance de l'hôtel.

Les chambres sont petites mais très bien agencées et fonctionnelles, pas besoin d'un palace pour se sentir bien.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé - dans un des plus beaux quartiers de Paris.
Nous recommandons les yeux fermés cet hôtel.

Et petit plus pour le petit déjeuner varié et bon !

nous n'y retournons plus! chambre exiguë dans une arrière cours au rez-de-chaussée . Peu de lumière, pas d'eau chaude le dimanche matin, traces d'humidité dans la chambre. Frustrés d'avoir dépensé 300e/nuit. Pas digne d'un 4 étoile .

Amazing discovery! The hotel had amazing service, and it is VERY well located (close to everything, while being on a quiet street). Yes, rooms are small, but super well maintained. For the price, you can't ask for anything better.

We only had a night stay here on our way home. But the room was very comfortable, the staff was extremely helpful, and the location made exploration of Paris very easy. Will stay again.

We have just stayed here for 1 night, on our way travelling through France. The lady on reception was wearing a face mask. We did not find this welcoming. If she needed to wear a mask, I would suggest another colleague should be on reception. During our check-in, she answered the telephone and spend many minutes dealing with a query regarding availability. We were tired and wanted to just go to our room. I know these boutique hotels in Paris are small, we have stayed in a few others, but the en-suite was particularly small. We requested a room facing the road, which we got. However, we had to move furniture in order to open the window.|The room was very clean. Our towels were changed, which we did not requested as we were only staying over 1 night.|The bedding was good. The road is quiet, which is a bonus in St. Germain

The location couldn't get much better than this - easily access all that Paris had to offer from this sweet petite boutique hotel. The rooms are typically small but have been nicely redecorated. Breakfast options were great and served in an atmospheric space. I loved the sitting area on the ground floor. Beds were comfortable enough and the rooms were well-soundproofed.

Downside: closets didn't have enough hangers and didn't provide adequate hanging space for long dresses. They also didn't provide steamers/irons. Bathrooms are barely big enough for one. I'm a small person - I stayed for 8 days and that was a bit long for the size of the room.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Verneuil. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms had character and were well maintained if a little on the small side. The hotel is ideally located and we would definitely return.

The best kept secret in Paris! The rooms and bathroom were spacious (for Paris). They offer complimentary snacks and champagne in your room daily. So close to everything and the team working there is a delight. We will be coming back here again to stay.

Je suis très satisfait de mon séjour à l'Hôtel Verneuil - Saint-Germain-des-Prés.|Excellent accueil, hôtel propre, décoration soignée, bonne communication avec l'équipe.|Et aussi bon petit déjeuner!|J'ai senti la vive volonté de l'équipe de me satisfaire au maximum.|L'hôtel est situé dans le mythique quartier de Saint-Germain-des-Prés.|L'endroit est magnifique pour se promener et il y a de nombreux bons restaurants à proximité.||Serge Gainsbourg et Jane Birkin vivaient en face de l'hôtel de Verneuil et la façade de leur maison est à voir (surprise en arrivant).||Je reviendrai avec plaisir.|Merci à toute l'équipe!

The hotel staff is very nice，today is August 6th, the front desk staff who helped me to check out in the morning is a gentleman, very sincere to help with luggage. However, when I checked out, an unbelievable thing happened to me. An impolite guest smashed a key on the desk at the front desk. I hope that the rude guest did not frighten the front desk staff, and I also hope that this incident did not affect his mood today.

The noise caused by people and staff from the new Gainsbourg house disturbs the quietness of the street and this hotel. It's really sad, because it was one of the hotel's strengths.

The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. If you have special wishes and you let them know, they fully live up to the expectations. The room we had was not big but for couples it is an excellent and cosy room. Very comfortable bed and big tv in the room. The location is also excellent as most tourist attractions such as the Eiffel tower, the Notre Dame and the Louvre are a maximum 30 min walk from the hotel. If we ever plan another romantic trip to Paris again, we know which hotel we will book. Thank you for making this surprise trip to Paris for my girlfriend a big success!

Habitués à descendre dans cet hôtel, nous n'irons plus. C'était un havre de paix d'une grande élégance. Les nuisances de la Maison Gainsbourg et l'agressivité des agents de sécurité nous ont découragés. Lorsque nous venons à Paris, ce n'est pas pour avoir le sentiment d'être en banlieue. C'est triste, car le personnel de l'hôtel est toujours aussi bienveillant.
