Food was average at best. Starter was good but mains indifferent. Pork was tough and dry. Wine was expensive and had a verrry small glass. We left after mains. Worst meal we've had in Paris. Didn't want to stay for deserts

I have to admit that I am really annoyed by this restaurant. I didn't make reservation and I asked "should I have to wait" and they said yes. After waiting for half an hour, I saw someone left and want to sit down. He said you have to make reservation. What the? You let me wait for half an hour and didn't tell me to make reservation? The host was a old man and saw we are Chinese and behave really rude, he is making us like idiots and make me start to hate Paris service, thank you Gentleman.

Rarement vu un restaurant aussi bruyant ! Il n'y a aucun traitement particulier des surfaces qui pourrait atténuer le bruit... nous avons retrouvé le calme de la rue de Verneuil avec soulagement. Concernant la cuisine, terrible déception : le turbot, sec et peu goûteux, n'était pas meilleur que dans une cantine d'entreprise. Et la purée vraiment basique, cantine encore ! J'y avais été il y a une dizaine d'année et en avais gardé un très bon souvenir. Hélas, depuis les choses ont changé, à moins que je sois aujourd'hui tombé sur un 'bad day', mais je ne pense pas que je prendrai le temps (et l'argent) de le vérifier.

Located in a quiet street behind the Musée d’Orsay, we found this intimate restaurant that offers good French cuisine. Between the four of us, we started with the asparagus, fried clams and fabulous oyster mushrooms. Our main courses were the cod fish (delicious) and well cooked lamb (a little overdone). The desserts were all excellent - especially the apple crumble! We decided on à la carte - but a tempting fixed price menu was available. Excellent wine list. The atmosphere was very agreeable and the service was friendly and efficient. With a fixed menu and careful wine choice, this would not be expensive for the area (but we pushed the boat out!). It was busy but we had reserved - possibly advisable at lunchtime.

J'avais réservé ce restaurant pour mes clients et ils m'ont dit que le personnel avait été très impoli et qu'ils avaient attendu très longtemps leur plat sans que le personnel ne leur donne de nouvelles. Ils ont été très déçus de leur expérience.

yesterday i went to this place, with an early reservation. i was alone so i just ordered snails and toast with oyster mushrooms, both are delicious especially the mushrooms. it was a nice meal, little bit pricey but the monsieur at the front desk was quite nice
also the towels at the washroom was surprisingly pleasant:) i think i’ll visit again when im in paris next time

last but not least i felt so happy for the lady and her partner sitting next table, looking forward to my spain trip some day. the restaurant is definitely giving nice vibes

Knus restaurantje, bij toeval gezien. In een leuke buurt. Goed eten. Zeker een keer doen. Menu van 2 of 3 gangen is interessant.

This restaurant is such a gem! The food was delicious, especially the pork chop and chocolate mousse, and the staff was helpful and kind. Their wine suggestions really added to our meal. It was a great atmosphere for a date night in Paris. Highly recommend!

남편과 예약 후 방문했습니다. 후추 소스 스테이크,감자그라탕,농어요리,에스까르고를 먹었습니다. (감자그라탕은 스테이크 시키면 같이 나와요)

솔직히 한국인분들 한우 생각하시면, 후추 소스 스테이크는 살짝 퀄리티 떨어집니다. 매우 질겼어요. 칼질이 힘들정도로..

에스까르고도 프랑스 어디서든 먹어도 평타 이상은 되기에, 딱 평균의 맛이었습니다.

대신 농어요리와 감자그라탕은 매우 훌륭했어요. 서버분들도 너무너무 친절했답니다 :)

0점 없나요. 제발 가지 마세요.
식전 빵 추가하려고 했더니 접시에 올리브오일 묻어있다고 혼자 성질 내더니 접시 던지고 감. 추후에 다시 따졌더니 신경질적으로 자기 할말만 하고 가네요. 사장인거 같던데 제발 이런 곳은 가지말고 팔아주지도 맙시다.
물론 문화적차이에 기인해서 이런 트러블이 생길 수 있다는 거 인정합니다. 허나 잘 설명하고 새 접시에 빵을 갖다주면 되죠. 접시 던지고 빵도 안가져다주고 이건 그냥 서비스가 기본이 안되어있는 겁니다.

I tried to order some more bread but there was a little olive oil on the plate. the person(looks like owner) got angry, threw the plate, and left. he really "thew" it.

Of course, I understand that cultural differences can lead to misunderstandings. But in that case, they could’ve just calmly explained and brought a new plate with bread. Throwing a plate and not even bringing the bread is simply poor service with no sense of basic hospitality.

Il n’y a pas d’option pour 0 étoile ? S’il vous plaît, n’allez pas dans cet endroit.

J’ai voulu commander un peu plus de pain, mais il y avait un peu d’huile d’olive sur l’assiette. La personne (qui semblait être le propriétaire) s’est énervée, a littéralement jeté l’assiette et est partie. Il l’a vraiment jetée.

Bien sûr, je comprends que des différences culturelles peuvent entraîner des malentendus. Mais dans ce cas, il suffisait d’expliquer calmement et d’apporter une assiette propre avec du pain. Jeter une assiette et ne même pas apporter le pain, c’est juste inacceptable et cela montre un manque total d’hospitalité de base.

La nourriture est bonne mais les prix sont élevés. Sans doute en raison de la très nombreuse clientèle américaine, qui a des moyens qui ne sont hélas pas les nôtres....

This was a wonderful experience on my recent trip to Paris! The server was friendly and spoke English, and even put up with my bad attempts at ordering in French. I started with Kir to drink and then had escargot, the pork chop, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Seriously, everything was phenomenal! The escargot was among the best I've ever had, the celeriac puree with the pork chop was amazing (and the pork chop itself was wonderfully cooked but a little fatty), and the mousse was mind blowing! The mousse comes with a very large portion, and it's quite rich, so make sure you save room for it (but definitely order it as it's their specialty dessert). A glass of Calvados 10 helped it go down smoothly, though. I'd definitely recommend this place! You might need a reservation, but I went right as they opened and had no issue getting a table.

En cherchant un resto dans le quartier, j’ai suivi les avis et je n’ai pas été déçue. La cuisine est authentique et goûteuse, les assiettes sont bien garnies, et les prix plus que corrects. Un peu bruyant. Détail très apprécié: la serviette perso pour s’essuyer les mains aux WC, la grande classe!

Stepping into Cinq Mars on Rue de Verneuil in Paris, you can't help but feel a sense of history. This charming street was once home to the legendary French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, an icon of the 60s and 70s. But today, it's the restaurant that's making noise, albeit in a much more civilized manner.
The terrific prix-fixe lunch menu is a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. Few choices/big flavors, warm service.

In a city renowned for its cuisine, Cinq Mars is a true gem. This is a restaurant that knows what it does well and executes it well, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of dining done right. If you're an English speaker, you'll be fine.

I was here September 2023 and I absolutely liked it.
We returned back March 2024 and the experience was absolutely different.

The service is really rude and disappointing.

This restaurant service is the worst. It's becoming more popular, so there are many people, but the waiters are getting ruder to the customers. Even the Asian customers sitting next to us experienced racial discrimination. The food is not great either, just average. I wish they had manners and taste that matched their popularity. Maybe their popularity will decline gradually.
