L’accueil, c’est un métier… mais visiblement pas encore une priorité.

Les taxis de l'Ain
The steak was awful. (Piêce du Bouche) It was so tough that my knife could barely cut through the meat. And that translated to it being extremely chewy. The steak was also completely unseasoned and the sauce it came with was bland. Meat was undercooked because the server didn’t ask how we wanted it done. Fries were overcooked. I normally love steak but honestly this was the worst steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
The pork was very average. Meat was dry and the sauce was again bland.
The only reason why the food got two stars is because the starters were good. The onion soup could be cooked down a little more and more concentrated. (But still good overall) The bread and melted cheese on top was so delicious. The filet de Hareng was also great. Portion sizes for the starters were generous.
Staff were very friendly but honestly expected something to be taken off the bill or a complementary item. Especially considering I received the wrong dish, was told the dish I wanted was “no longer available” and that the replacement was awful. I’m from the US so maybe American customer service gave me unrealistic expectations. ????????♂️
