Fabulous stay! The staff is so welcoming and warm and helpful! Location is awesome. We searched forever for a hotel in a good location with King size beds, and decided on this one. Loved it. We did not eat at hotel, so cannot comment on food. The location was so great we wandered everywhere from here. It was quiet at night however and that was so nice. Would go back in a minute!

I love it. Been here for 2 days and another 3 to go.
My bed is comfortable and I have had a good night's sleep. The amenities, service and breakfast are excellent. The location is amazing: Notre Dame is just over the road. Panthéon a short walk and tomorrow I'll be walking along the river bank to musée D'Orsay, just 30 minutes à pied. There are many restaurants close by to choose from.

For a 5. Star hotel, the service is great, location amazing, right near notre dame but located on quiet street. They have a nice yard, where you can sit and have A coffee.
Their restaurant is too dark and small. Bar and restaurant close at 8 pm. Try their tea time selection.

Room: is so small! There was a curtain instead of a door to separate the bathroom from the room! The air conditioning does not cool down. No place to have your luggage!

Service outstanding

What an excellent hotel. Rooms are small (typical to Paris) but we stayed in the large Deluxe room which was about enough for 2 people. The service is spectacular. Re the area, as long as you can avoid the Saint Michel area the small streets of Saint Germain are lovely.

Perfection! If I ever go back....I will 100% stay here. Do yourself a favor, stop researching and book this hotel. When you imagine a French hotel it should be this. Small, boutique, intimate. The friendliest, most helpful people in Paris. Antonio, Victor, Aldo, Esty, Adam were helpful with dinner reservations, taxiis, suggestions on visiting sites and handled any other requests we had. Rooms were lovely. Comfortable, clean and well appointed. Location cannot be beat. Breakfast was splendid. The courtyard was precious. This hotel exceeded our expectations for customer service, location and comfort. Highly recommend.

Our first time in Paris couldn’t have been more perfect. The service was impeccable, and everyone at the hotel spoke excellent English. We arrived just before noon after a long flight, and they were able to accommodate us early which gave us a chance to freshen up before heading out.

The rooms are beautifully designed with individual artistic themes. They’re smaller based on North American standards, but definitely not as compact as rooms in Japan. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade but I preferred the one I chose with the partial view of the Notre Dame. Anyway, the room's charm and attention to detail more than made up for its size. If you prefer cozy, charming and quaint, you'd love it.

Breakfast is top notch in their lovely cafe. Didn't have to go to a boulangerie to gouge on croissant and pain au chocolat. They're better than anything I've ever had back home in Toronto.

And the location's unbeatable. A few steps outside, and you’re surrounded by cafés, brasseries, patisseries, shops for books, toys, souvenirs, Asian restos, and a whole lot more, all within a few minutes’ walk. We even got to buy mangas in French. Notre-Dame is just around the corner, you can even see it from the hotel and, in our case, from our room. Other spots like the Seine, Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciergerie, Shakespeare and Company, and the Louvre (stretch that walk a little) are all nearby. And if you want to venture farther, the train station is close, making it easy to get anywhere. Even Versailles is just literally one train ride away, no transfers needed.

The little surprise they provided on our first night was the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. Honestly I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. Perhaps the weather? It rained when we arrived and they even had to say sorry for the weather as if it was their fault.

We’d love to come back!

I visited this hotel last weekend for two days after leaving SO Paris hotel and was greeted very nicely with staff. The horror started right after I took my second shower at this location. The towel warmer was faulty heating to 36C and caused a horrible burn on my left arm. My skin is missing and bubble with a black scar next to the scabs. I called down instantly for the concierge who had another attendant confirm it was up too high and another who brought burn cream. To my dismay while checking out the staff tried to offer me a free breakfast (which was already paid for by my AMEX rewards) and then I received a lukewarm email from Solene apologizing but offering me points to stay. This is unacceptable! For something that will require further medical attention. I have not heard back from anyone after asking Solene to further my request.

We had a wonderful stay for my first visit to Paris. The hotel is in a great location. Close to a Metro station and lots of dining options nearby. The hotel is on a small side street, so it is quiet in a busy area. The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived, which was very welcome after a long flight. They were also very helpful with dining and shopping recommendations. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very well located, the staff are very friendly and the hotel has an elegant and traditional atmosphere. The room was nice and the bed was of good quality. Unfortunately, there are a few points that do not correspond to a 5-star hotel and the correspondingly high prices: The evening service in the room was only done on the first of three evenings, although we were out all evening. After a long and intensive second day in marvellous Paris, room service was still not done at 5 pm. The hotel bar closes at 8pm, so there is no quiet end to the day in the bar. The fact that the lift in the old building is very small and has not been renovated could also be mentioned here. A lamp in the room doesn't work, the toilet paper holder is wobbly and there is no toilet brush. The fact that the drinks voucher, which is now available in many hotels, is only valid for one person, even though there were two of us, was a bit odd. For these reasons and because of the high price, we would only recommend the hotel to a limited extent.

We stayed for six nights with our 2-year-old and booked our travel through Costco Travel. As long-time members, we had an excellent experience with their booking process and customer service.

Positives:
• Staff and Service: Exceptional. The staff were consistently courteous, always smiling, and eager to assist. I’d rate them 5/5 for their professionalism and service.
• Breakfast: A hassle-free experience, with ample time (7:00–10:30 am) to enjoy the offerings. The croissants, in particular, were delightful.

Areas for Improvement:

While I understand that space is generally limited in Paris, paying €400-500 per night for a 5-star hotel sets certain expectations. The lack of sufficient space around the bed to comfortably walk was disappointing. Although it’s unfair to compare Parisian hotels directly to U.S. standards, better space management should be expected at this price point.

Issues Encountered:
1. Temperature Control: The thermostat frequently malfunctioned, requiring frequent resets to stabilize the room temperature.
2. Lighting: The floor lamp had a complicated mechanism, and for five out of six nights, it didn’t work, leaving us without adequate lighting.
3. Corridors and Elevators: Both were exceptionally narrow and small, which felt quite cramped.
4. Tourist Tax: A €21/night tourist tax was added, which was not disclosed upfront in the Costco package. While this is not entirely the hotel’s fault, it left a sour taste. I plan to follow up with Costco about this oversight, but it’s worth noting that such charges seem excessive and reflect poorly on Paris as a destination.

Overall Impression:

This hotel, while advertised as 5-star, felt more like a 3-star experience due to the issues mentioned above. Although the staff and service were exceptional, the space constraints and functional problems detract from the overall value for money. I would not rate it higher than 3/5 stars.

Merci!

My wife and I visited Paris for the 1st time in our lives the 1st week of December. Arrived Saturday at 8:30 AM and the front desk person was extremely helpful. The room was not ready (nor did we expect it to be) but they secured our luggage, provided us a map, some basic suggestions and off we went to wander (in fact we wandered an average of 18,000 steps each day). The hotel was supposed to call us when the room was ready but I think they lost my cell phone number or forgot because when we returned around 3:30 PM the room was ready and I had an email telling me it was ready at 2 PM. No big deal. Our room was a singular extra (I paid more for the slightly larger space with the sofa). Please be aware that the singular extra rooms are all located next to the service elevator so very infrequently we did hear some slight noise but again not enough to be an issue. Room was wonderful but tight by American standards but we knew that going in. Small but clean bathroom area with a shower area. Breakfast buffet was included in our package and in other reviews, I heard people complain because each day was the same exact items but we had really good food and enough variety to not be bored. This is a small hotel (35 room total I think) so the breakfast area was small but cozy. Wonderful court yard area but was way to cold to sit outside but imagine in spring , summer or fall a great place to relax. Entire staff (dining, front desk, cleaning) were all very nice and willing to do what they could to fulfill requests. The dining area is also has a very small bar with very limited selections and it was closed Monday - Wed during our visit but when I requested an after dinner drink upon our return to the hotel on late night, the front desk did open the room and pour a whiskey which I took to the room. The hotels locations (1 minute walk to the Seine) with immediate views of Notre Dame plus the neighborhood area had no shortage of food, drink and people watching options.|I will make one small comment and only because I read it in someone else's review. When you exit your room into the very short hallway to steps or elevator, there is some time of automatic air freshener device on the wall and while the dispensed fragrance did not bother me, my wife thought it smelled like a person applied too much cheap perfume. Again, this is not a complaint but we did smell something like the other person. Perhaps a lavender or lemon scent would be more welcome. Overall, I believe the hotel delivered exactly what we wanted, had a great staff and was an excellent value.

My colleague and I had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. A cute boutique hotel with lots of history. Quirky individual rooms with all the amenities and comfortable bedding etc. ||Nice additional touches for Melia club members. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the location is a bonus. Right by Notre dame but jsir away from the tourist hoards. Nice cafe’s and ships/supermarkets around each corner. We loved it. ||Only downside was the onsite bar/cafe not being open on a Monday or Tuesday evening but there are great choices nearby to eat and drink.

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. It was clean, the room was nice and the breakfast in the Cafe was good. What made the hotel more special was the front desk staff. They were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to assist us in getting restaurant reservations, provide recommendations, and take care of whatever we needed. The hotel is in a great location to walk to many attractions and restaurants.

This is the second time I have stayed at a Melia establishment and yet again I was left highly impressed by the quality of the accommodation provided. We visited Paris to celebrate my son’s 4th birthday and the suite booked was great in terms of size and was luxuriously furnished with a fabulous eye for detail - there was even a telescope inside the room which looked directly out onto Notre Dame Cathedral.

Throughout our stay, the customer service we received from concierge was exemplary and I would like to mention Maria, Nicolas and Montse in particular who made great efforts to ensure our experience was unforgettable and couldn’t do enough for us - they are truly a credit to the establishment.
