A bientot!
Just left P&P for a 3 night stay with 2 small kids, at the end of December. The unit we had, 203, was extremely disappointing for the hefty $450/night we paid. It was a 1 bedroom with a pullout couch in the living room, and they loaned us a baby cot as well. Upon arrival, the door to the unit was actually unlocked which seemed like a huge security risk. Additionally, all the windows were open and it was freezing in there (not great with 2 little kids). We realized later that they were probably open to mask the horrifying smell from the apartment. I think it came from the dishwasher and also just an overall lack of cleanliness. I had to wash all the dishes by hand before using them, and the counters and floors were dirty when we arrived. There was an attempt to decorate the place in a modern way but it just wasn’t clean. Also, appliances and floors were worn with the finish coming off. The windows were poorly insulated as well.
The staff was helpful at least. They put together the baby cot that we couldn’t figure out and replaced a broken hair dryer in the unit.
The location is 5-7 mins walk from the Metro station and several bus stops, so it was great for getting into town. It takes 15-30 mins to get to the main attractions, depending on which one but we didn’t mind that because we enjoyed being in a neighborhood that was quieter and felt more authentic. The cafes and bakeries nearby were great.
Overall, if you can get a good deal on this ($200/night or so), I’d say it’s okay to book. But if you have to spend more than that, I’m sure your money is spent better elsewhere.
The apartment itself was superb—comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. While the accommodation is family-friendly, we did need to baby-proof the living room a little further due to certain decorative elements, such as the corkboard with pins and the decorative balls in the faux plants.
The lounge was more functional than cosy, but the fold-out bed was the most comfortable one I’ve ever used.
A couple of small suggestions:
• A hand towel in the kitchen for drying hands and dishes would be useful.
• Clear instructions on how to use the dryer/washing machine.
Just an FYI for future guests: they do provide essential items like washing-up detergent, bin bags, and sponges, but if you’re staying for a longer period (like we did as a family of five), you may need to buy extras.
The location felt very safe, and the metro was just a short, easy 5-minute walk away, making it a great base for exploring Paris.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris!
