The small cafe's prices are overpriced. €25 for 2 coffees and 2 small orange juices. The americano was cold.

Aside from one friendly and helpful staff member at the reception during the day, I unfortunately have nothing positive to say about this hotel. My experience in Paris was severely impacted by the numerous issues I encountered during my stay here.

Service Issues:
It seemed that every request we made was either ignored or handled incorrectly. At breakfast, we specifically requested a gluten-free option and were reassured with “no problem.” Yet at the first night what arrived was clearly not gluten-free. On another morning, after placing our breakfast order, we waited 25 minutes only to be told they had forgotten it entirely and we needed to order again. It took over 50 minutes to receive just one omelet, and the side dish sweet vanilla bread that was supposed to come with it never arrived.

Room Issues:
We made a clear request that both rooms be cleaned by 14:00, as we needed to rest before an important evening concert. Despite this, the rooms were not cleaned by the agreed time. When we returned at 15:00 and placed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door to rest, housekeeping still called the room insisting they come in to clean, completely disrupting our rest. The beds were small and uncomfortable, making sleep difficult regardless.
Additionally, the shower design is poor: even when closed properly, water floods out into the bathroom and even as far as the bedroom floor.

Booking Issues:
We booked four nights, with the first two nights covered by an organization. Despite prior confirmation, we were told at check-in that we had to pay the full amount ourselves. Only after some back and forth was the issue finally resolved.

For the same high price, you can find far better hotels in central Paris. The lack of professionalism, poor service, and lack of attention to detail significantly diminish the quality of this hotel. I cannot recommend staying here.

Firstly, the staff were really friendly and helpful. ||The hotel is three stops on the RER from Gare du Nord, Luxembourg is the closest station less than 10 minute walk. ||The beds were really comfortably, the room spotlessly clean & the air con worked well. The rooms are on the smaller side but that’s standard for most large cities. ||The bathroom was of average size, plenty of towels & hot water in the shower. ||The room was really quiet, the road is closed off to traffic which was a bonus. ||We didn’t have breakfast as plenty of options locally but the coffee shop downstairs was fine for a drink. ||We would consider staying here again for sure.

This is about the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Seriously.||||Let me start with the bathroom. Terrible. The lighting is like an interrogation room in a police department. Two spotlights overhead searing your head with 80 watts each of blinding light and heat, brighter than the sun. Then there’s the tub that you have to scale over like a wall to get into the shower. Then there’s the half-shower glass that lets half of the water from your shower onto the floor. When they only give you two towels total to dry off, there’s no more to soak up the 5 gallons of water remaining on the floor. No one over 21 should attempt to enter/exit the shower without risking potential harm.||||The bed is fine.||||The decor is weird. Maybe for hipsters it’s okay, but not for normal people. There’s a book of unclothed women by my bed for those nights that my wife is not in the mood. +1 there.||||Avoid this place at all cost.

Solid hotel with excellent location just a few minutes from the park and world class restaurants. Friendly staff. The rooms aren’t giant, but it’s Paris. Modify your expectations.

“The location is excellent—within walking distance of Notre Dame and the Pantheon, and close to the RER B, metro, and bus stations. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The street is quiet and feels safe. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. It’s small, but that’s typical for Paris and still felt comfortable . We also appreciated having a small fridge in the room. There’s a nice little coffee shop downstairs, and the front desk staff were helpful. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.”

These hotel rooms are small by American standards and I was still initially shocked by how “cozy” it was. This doesn’t detract from my review, because it was more than enough space. The staff here were extremely helpful and responsive. The shower always had hot water on demand and the air conditioner worked fabulously. Hotel staff changed out my sheets every day. ||Best of all was how centrally located this hotel was to everything! The Jardin Du Luxembourg, Notre Dame and so many wonderful places to eat and shop within very easy walking distance. ||I loved the artsy vibe of this hotel and I never had an issue with the wifi. I stayed at another hotel with more stars and still thought French Theory was an overall nicer stay. This will be my go-to hotel when i return to France.

The location was the most important factor. It’s a small 3 star but modern inside. The rooms are tight for space though as most hotels are especially in the heart of the city. Very near the Sorbonne and Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and the rest of the must see places too. No safe in the room. Their breakfasts are amazing. We stayed for a week and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else to have breakfast.

Christopher

Didn’t stay here but popped into their coffee shop for breakfast. It was delicious! Highly recommend the french toast, and yogurt with fruit & granola. We also had the scrambled eggs and Croque Monsieur. Enjoyed everything we had , coffee was good too.

Good hotel, friendly staff. Great location. Overall, it's really good for the price. It's not fancy but gives u what u need to see Paris for a reasonable price. Room and bathroom small but it is to be expected I Paris. We had the quad room with bunk beds as we were traveling with our teenage kids. Was a little crowded but no regrets. Great little coffee shop as part of the hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in late March 2025. We have no complaints about anything—the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly (and fluent in English), and breakfast was excellent (€15 for a simple yet satisfying set menu or €22 for a more complete breakfast). The hotel’s location was ideal: situated in the Latin Quarter near the Panthéon and just steps from the RER and metro stations. It’s also conveniently accessible via the RER from Charles de Gaulle Airport, just drop off at Luxembourg Station. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. A shout-out to the staff for making our stay pleasant!

It’s literally the worse place I’ve stayed and I wouldn’t even call it a hotel.
The room is embarrassingly small that’s jn no condition to be used as a hotel room. The bathroom makes no sense, sink is tiny and you can barely fit into the shower room, water spills everywhere. Door is leaking. Towel are not changed and cleaned diligently on a daily basis, you have to ask them to.
No kettle, they make you come down to beg them for water. Way to go for customer experience.
Ridiculously small tables that can fit nothing, I had to put my clothes in my luggage and luggage right near my bed. It’s frankly pathetic, even a brokeass hostel is bigger than that.

They also have pins on the wall and if you careless enough and drop one and step on it like I did, you ended up having a pin inside your feet. Yes, that actually happened!

Overall the worst place I’ve stayed in my 15+ of traveling, it is a nightmare for my otherwise fabulous time in Paris.

The hotel itself is decent, but the service at the hotel restaurant, particularly from the waiter, was far from satisfactory. He appeared disinterested and unenthusiastic about his work. His attitude was cold and unwelcoming, and he muttered comments under his breath, making the dining experience uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on the service.

Really nice Hotel for the price. The room was large, bedding was comfortable and there are little extras that just make this hotel a gem. |Downstairs there is a cafe/restaurant and the reception were always friendly and nice. I have stayed at three other hotels in the vicinity, some with more stars but this wins the prize!

Big Up à Aurélien

Came to this hotel last minute as the one I was supposed to stay at was disgusting. Anyways, was sooooo happy they were so accommodating. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need (great hair dryer). A great location at a really reasonable price. Thank you!!

Rooms are tiny for what you pay, although very clean. There was no/little soundproofing so you can hear everything, including dogs barking 3 doors down. Couldn't move in the bathroom at all, but it was adequate. Shower was great - hot with excellent pressure. Great location - very accessible to the lanes in St Germain and the Seine.
