We popped into this shop just for a quick glass while roaming around, and what a great find!! The owners were friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed awhile to enjoy the ambience and bought a bottle to enjoy later. Fantastic place.

The wine was great, but we felt quite unwelcome. When asking for a recommendation for a wine by the glass, the response was a sour "it's written on the chalk board" and it took several follow-up questions to get a description of said wines. I don't know whether this is Parisian "etiquette", but thankfully, I live in a metropole where you can buy great natural wine from passionate people who aren't half as grumpy as this shopkeeper.

It was late in the evening and I was strolling around with my 9 year old daughter when I bumped into this shop. The owner asked me what I was looking for and helped me to pick an organic Burgundian pinot noir from Bonnardot. Tasted it when I came back from my Paris trip and enjoyed every swig of it ????

Très belle expérience de dégustation de vins natures au sein de l'Etiquette. Hervé nous abreuve d'anecdotes et d'informations toutes plus fascinantes les unes que les autres, le tout autour de breuvages savamment choisis et dégustés avec grand plaisir. Merci encore pour ce beau moment et ces belles découvertes !

I have been coming here for years. Hervé and Elaine are truly special people. Extraordinarily knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and always accommodating. This is—in my opinion—the best cave in Paris.

Je viens ici depuis plus de dix ans. Le caviste Hervé est génial. Sa femme est d’une grande gentillesse aussi. Un super endroit pour boire une bouteille entre amis et/ou en famille… et découvrir de bons vins.

my favorite natural wine shop and bar in Paris, Hervé is so knowledgeable and has the best recommendations. Both Hervé and Elaine are wonderful people who are passionate about what they do and create such an amazing vibe. L’etiquette is a MUST!!!!!!!

Owner (Herve) was extremely rude and argumentative to us when talking about wine. If you’d like to enjoy your day, it’s best not to let him speak to you. I’d encourage anyone thinking about going to filter by all the 1-star reviews and you’ll see a trend of this happening and him blaming others for their bad experience in his shop. I can tell you you that L’Etiquette has no etiquette, just confrontational wine snobbery.

I would avoid this place. Hevre (shopkeeper) seems to like arguments and conflict, as you can see in any negative review that's left here. Lots of people leave bad reviews, and he tries to identify them, just so he can tell them they're wrong (go look for yourself on here). We had a terrible experience and got yelled at, just because I offered a very polite counterpoint to one of his opinions. Your day will likely be immensely better if you don't set foot in this place. I did not appreciate anything about Hevre's approach to wine, communication, customer service, manners, or his general demeanor towards people that had done nothing wrong.

Mala experiencia. A pesar de que sabíamos el perfil de vino que queríamos, nos respondió de forma muy seca sin ofrecer detalles sobre las diferencias entre los vinos recomendados. Le hicimos varias preguntas y nos respondió de forma muy seca y sin ganas.
ATENCIÓN: El precio que pone en los vinos no se corresponde con el precio final.

Bonsoir Hervé. Je lis dans les commentaires que vous allez bientôt arrêter. Quel dommage. Je profitais de mes passages à Paris pour venir goûter à vos délicieux breuvages. Assez rares pour la plupart. J'invite tout le monde de profiter encore de votre établissement et de votre expertise en vins rares et non conformistes. J'essaierai de passer avant fermeture. Herve ne devait pas être dans un grand jour car je n’ai pas eu le plaisir d’être bien reçu. Caviste un peu étrange qui ne présente que des bouteilles vides dans son établissement. C’est déconcertant.

Charmante boutique dans laquelle vous ne trouvez que des pépites... les vins, sélectionnés avec beaucoup de rigueur et de goût par l'atypique propriétaire des lieux et sa douce épouse, sont sans aucun doute les meilleurs qui m'aient été donnés de déguster... et croyez moi il y en a eu beaucoup ! Je recommande l'adresse à 300% si vous voulez vous régaler !!

Avec mon épouse nous avons eu le plaisir de faire une dégustation avec Hervé :
Une expérience intéressante, qui nous a ouvert les yeux et l’esprit et permis de mieux comprendre les enjeux environnementaux dans la viniculture.
