Un detalle además que se pueda entrar (por la entrada principal; hay que pasar por seguridad pero no hace falta entrada) y subir por los tubos esos (con escaleras mecánicas) hasta arriba de forma gratuita, donde hay buenas vistas.
The building is amazing. Can't wait to visit in 2030 but don't waste your money now especially with small children
However--Catch 22--there is no indication of this at the entry. We entered today, expecting to be admitted with no problem as we had this morning at Picasso museum. No dice. We had
nasty altercation with staff when we tried to see Paris Noir. To make long story short we were escorted out of the museum by security staff who did not appreciate our protests that there is not indication at the entry that a free Sunday is not a free Sundayt
The Centre Pompidou serves as a major center for modern and contemporary art, housing the Musée National d'Art Moderne, which is one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art in Europe. The collection includes works by prominent artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, and Jackson Pollock, among many others. The museum showcases a wide range of artistic movements, including Surrealism, Cubism, and Abstract Expressionism.
In addition to the art collection, the Centre Pompidou is also home to a public library, a cinema, and a music research center. The institution frequently hosts temporary exhibitions, film screenings, and cultural events, making it a dynamic hub for artistic expression and innovation.
The rooftop terrace offers stunning panoramic views of Paris, allowing visitors to enjoy the city's skyline while taking in the vibrant atmosphere around the center. The surrounding area is also lively, with shops, cafes, and street performances, adding to the overall experience.
Le Centre Pompidou is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts, culture lovers, and anyone interested in exploring the cutting-edge of contemporary creativity. If you have specific questions about the Centre Pompidou or its exhibitions, feel free to ask!
