We reserved the tickets for the first Sunday of Jun but no info says that permanent exhibition is closed. Entry is friendly for parents who have strollers. We went to kids gallery. It’s the worst I have ever seen, very small without interesting games. Installation very simple but charging each parent 8€ to accompany their kids. They have a beautiful cafe but cakes look very dry and expensive. Toilets very dirty. Terrible experience!

i was excited for a cool layout and modern architecture but it looked like an ikea on an acid trip. you can only see 3 small temporary exhibits right now because the main exhibit with the picasso and stuff has been closed for years with no set date of re-opening. but you still have to pay full price obviously. organization is really impractical, you have to go in a long hamster tube of hell that’s 10 degrees hotter than it is outside because it’s all in the sun with no airflow. so then after you get to that one exhibit you have to then go all the way back down to the entrance and back up a different way to get to the others. after all that they didn’t let us enter the other exhibits with the rest of our group that was already inside because we were too many people and they “made a mistake” earlier. we offered to wait until more people left but they wouldn’t budge and were quite rude about it. the paris noir exhibit was really cool though.

Best English bookstore of Paris. No one told us this when we’re searching for international bookstores but here we literally spent hours in the bookshop. Go there and enjoy ✨

The permanent collection is undergoing renovations for several years. This is not as clear as it should be from the website or the ticket office. They have posted a disclaimer notice at the ticket windows which allows them to refuse a refund. Customer service staff would not provide any assistance.

The permanent collection is closed. They have 4 current exhibitions that are not worth the price of admission in my opinion. I did not notice any signs saying most of the museum was closed and was very confused buying tickets about what I was paying for.

The building is amazing. Can't wait to visit in 2030 but don't waste your money now especially with small children

This is supposed to be a free Sunday at the museum. Its website even says that admission to the permanent collection is free on first Sundays of the month. But the permanent collection is not open in preparation for major renovations so you must by tickets to the exhibits which continue until September 2025 .

However--Catch 22--there is no indication of this at the entry. We entered today, expecting to be admitted with no problem as we had this morning at Picasso museum. No dice. We had
nasty altercation with staff when we tried to see Paris Noir. To make long story short we were escorted out of the museum by security staff who did not appreciate our protests that there is not indication at the entry that a free Sunday is not a free Sundayt

Le Centre Pompidou, officially known as the Centre National d'Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou, is a vibrant cultural institution located in the Beaubourg area of Paris, France. Opened in 1977, it is renowned for its distinctive architectural design, characterized by its exposed structural elements, colorful pipes, and a unique layout that challenges traditional museum architecture.

The Centre Pompidou serves as a major center for modern and contemporary art, housing the Musée National d'Art Moderne, which is one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art in Europe. The collection includes works by prominent artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, and Jackson Pollock, among many others. The museum showcases a wide range of artistic movements, including Surrealism, Cubism, and Abstract Expressionism.

In addition to the art collection, the Centre Pompidou is also home to a public library, a cinema, and a music research center. The institution frequently hosts temporary exhibitions, film screenings, and cultural events, making it a dynamic hub for artistic expression and innovation.

The rooftop terrace offers stunning panoramic views of Paris, allowing visitors to enjoy the city's skyline while taking in the vibrant atmosphere around the center. The surrounding area is also lively, with shops, cafes, and street performances, adding to the overall experience.

Le Centre Pompidou is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts, culture lovers, and anyone interested in exploring the cutting-edge of contemporary creativity. If you have specific questions about the Centre Pompidou or its exhibitions, feel free to ask!
