Avis HÔTEL ÉMILE Paris

Due to location, some of the reviews, photos, breakfast availability and rates, I decided to book a one week stay the beginning of May. First, location was great. Can walk to subway across the street, the neighborhood is historic and walkable to the Seine, Notre Dame, etc. I can only speak for my room which looked out to the side street (not the boulevard or "nice view") on the 5th floor. The street level has a restaurant with outdoor seating..I believe the cigarette smoke wafts into my room since I smelled cigarettes. But in ALL the hotels I've stayed at around the world, I've never had a bathroom where the shower area is together with the wash basin and open to the room without a door. Therefore, you cannot leave anything around the tiny sink or a towel as it will get wet, nor can you use the wash basin area after a shower because the floor is wet. You must brush your teeth before or during the shower since you will not be able to walk on the floor afterwards, nor wear shoes so not to dirty the floor as you will be barefoot there to shower. Only the toilet has a private separate area with a door. The windows open to what I believe was the original roof but which they call a "terrace" (I believe sometime in the past the higher floors were added), hence a communal accessibility which anyone can walk out their window onto the roof/terrace and freely access any room as there are no partitions. I saw someone walk by, and was thankful my window was closed, but quickly closed my curtains. The noise of garbage trucks at 5:30-6 am awakened me a few times during the week. About 7 stairsteps to the elevator, but the staff is accommodating to help carry your suitcase to the "tiny" elevator--only one person and a suitcase can fit (or two people without luggage). The breakfast is a coffee machine, juice and some pastries. They must specify "continental" rather than "breakfast". My room was tiny, and it took some furniture arranging to put my suitcase somewhere. Although my room had two twin beds put together, I cannot see how two people can comfortably stay in that room, walk around, or shower. I was thankful I had a clothing rod for my clothes. When you're escorted to your room first so you can decide whether you want to stay or not as they will charge you UP FRONT rather than when you check out, you know there could be issues. And after a long trip, are you going to find another hotel in the last minute?? Would I stay there again? Not if I have to worry about my window being open, awakened by garbage collection, or a wet floor after showering and not going back into the wash area to wash my hands after using the toilet until the floor is dry, and not wear shoes there.

El hotel muy bien ubicado la sen̈ora que nos atendio muy amable.
dejamos el hotel y olvidamos nuestras chaquetas de invierno en el closet de la habitacion. No pudimos volver el mismo dia y cuando fuimos al otro dia por ellas. Estaban guardadas bajo llave y no pudieron devolverlas ese dia porque la persona que tenia la llave estaba de descanso.

Como ya nos ibamos de paris se comprometieron a enviarlas, asi que Estamos esperando que no las envien por cuenta de ellos a USA sin costo.

Wonderful location, cafes, metro, and bakeries so close. Kind staff. 5th floor views are so french. Learn to use the tiny elevator. Loved it.

Had a fantastic time with the family staying here. Front desk staff was very friendly and always available to assist 24/7. Very safe and céntric location steps from the metro station and restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores. There is a very cute restaurant with pink flowers open all day with good French pastries and desserts. People in France are really nice and we would come back in a heart beat.

I booked a superior double room and I'd question if it was not a lower grade room. The room floor was dirty on arrival. The hotel was going through hallway painting and I came back to my room the first day with my door being unlocked and a second day where my door was propped open. When I mentioned to the front desk lady about the dirty floor and the door she reacted very quickly to resolve the issues. I would say the staff is great, but the hotel is tired with wallpaper coming off the wall and some holes in the walls

This is my second time staying at Hotel Emile. It is a great stay in a fantastic location! The rooms are nicely updated and the lobby is cute and quaint. Dalal at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. The rooms are small, but that is true at any hotel in Paris. Hotel Emile is now officially my go-to hotel when in Paris.

Hôtel bien situé MAIS chambres minuscules, escalier minuscule , ascenseur plus que minuscule, petit-déjeuner minus dans une pièce minuscule sur des tabourets trop bas ! La douche est dans la chambre séparée par une vitre transparente (aucune intimité), état de l’ensemble vieillissant pour une somme exagérée … à fuir.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. It is beautiful, and the location is perfect - great neighborhood and steps from the metro station. The room was clean and cozy, and had a beautiful view.
Shout out to Gwendolyn, whose friendliness and hospitality made the stay all the better. She is truly an asset!

Un séjour absolument parfait ! Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été accueilli avec une gentillesse et une attention remarquables. La personne à l’accueil a été souriante, disponible et aux petits soins, rendant mon séjour encore plus agréable. Un véritable rayon de soleil qui donne envie de revenir rien que pour cet accueil chaleureux !
Pour le prix je ne m’attendais pas à ce niveau de prestations. Le rapport qualité prix est juste hallucinant.
La chambre était impeccable, la vue est tout simplement à couper le souffle. À couper le souffle !!
Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés !!!

Je conseille la chambre 50 qui est pour une personne mais avec une vue… on veut y vivre.

Superbe petit hôtel en plein cœur de Paris. Le cadre est intimiste, les chambres petites mais très confortables et très jolies.
La personne de l’accueil est très gentille.
Nous recommandons chaleureusement et si nous repassons par Paris nous y reposerons nos valises

The rooms are not like the ones that are advertised. Our room has a see through shower in front of the bed, the balcony wrapped around the whole hotel that everyone had access to. Staff were rude. We didn't stay and have been fighting for our refund.

Hotel bem localizado , o atendimento do staff é bem gentil e profissional , o quarto é limpo com roupas de cama novas ! Tem estação de metrô próxima , tem supermercado próximo , tem farmácias . Existem bancos e caixas eletrônicos a poucos metros . Recomenda !

Venant visiter un ami, le réceptionniste me demande les origines ethniques de cette personne ! "Est il d'origine maghrébine ?" Que l'on me dise dans quel hôtel on voit ça !

Super hôtel dans le Marais. Très bien situé et avec un accueil formidable. Le seul petit bémol c'est l'ascenseur qui est très petit et non approprié pour les personnes claustrophobe comme moi . La literie est confortable et tout est très propre.

Point forts de l'hôtel:
- sa situation géographique dans Paris, à deux pas du métro (ligne 1), rue de Rivoli dans un beau quartier avec toutes les commodités.
- Accueil sympathique et réception à toute heure.
- Propreté de la chambre
- équipement correct (sèche-cheveux, coffre fort, dressing)
- petit déjeuner continental correct (viennoiserie fraiche, choix de boissons...)

Points faibles:
- défaut d'entretien de chambres (noir de pollution sur les montants de fenêtres, moisissures sur les joints de la douche, traces de projection de liquide sur les murs des WC, lit avec matelas qui creuse).
- chambre double très exigüe (très peu d'espace autour du lit et pour sortir de la douche)
- pas de voilage permettant d'éviter le vis à vis lorsque les doubles rideaux occultants sont ouverts (obliger de garder les rideaux occultants fermés même en journée, d'autant plus que la salle de douche est ouverte sur la chambre et donne donc sur les fenêtres)

Such a wonderful location with the most amazing staff!!! Highly recommend for anybody traveling to Paris, you will not be disappointed. Was so grateful for the wonderful people that work at Hotel Emile, they made our stay so magical ❤️

I am not having problems with my bank. I am having problems with Hotel Emile not refunding a deposit paid in good fait.
In regards to this hotels dodgy response, in which they say "sorry you are having problems with your bank!" Just proves that they have intentionally not refunded the $278 that is owed to me. You have my email address, I have emailed you and called you. Why have you not emailed my a copy of the returned money? My bank are not at fault. YOU ARE AT FAULT. PLEASE EMAIL ME, SHOW ME THE RETURNED MONEY ON YOUR STATMENT. EMAIL ME A COPY OF THE REMITTANCE. Your response so far matches your horrible customer service. You are not being honest. Please email me, with proof of refund or even better actually refund the money today.

We booked directly with Hotel Emile. They took a deposit from us to reserve the room. We stayed, we paid for the stay in full and now returning home we find that 3 x months later they have also kept and not returned our deposit. I have called several times, written several emails. DO NOT give this hotel your credit card details over the telephone. THEY DO NOT RETURN THE HOLDING AMOUNT. I am still trying to get the extra $278 they have taken.
If you are reading this review, and other guest reviews, you can see the hotel has done this many times before. I am sure you understand the situation, maybe you should leave Hotel Emile a review. Ask the hotel to refund my money. It is a terrible thing to do to customers. Thank you.

Fine accommodations at good price, however I asked for an an iron before I arrived. It wasn’t in my room, I asked for it again and they said they only had two - lost one and the other was in a room. Asked again that night and they said they still didn’t have one, I’m here for work and I need an iron to be presentable so it’s quite annoying

Very centrally located, with friendly and helpful staff and comfortable, clean rooms - albeit on the small side. The simple breakfast was good value at 5 euros and the staff made us feel welcome and helped with dinner recommendations.

The location of this hotel can't be beat. There was a village feel in the neighborhood. It is just a short walk to the Seine and the Batobus on the Seine. The rooms may be a little smaller than the pictures seem but they were sparkling clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I am pretty sure every room has a great view, I know ours did.|The breakfast was good and it was fun to watch the hustle bustle of people coming and going in the lobby/breakfast area.

Une chambre au 4e étage, très lumineuse, bien étudiée, climatisation efficace et silencieuse, une douche italienne préservant l'intimité et ... une joli balcon où prendre l'apéro avec vue sur la ville. |Un salon d'accueil agréable, avec bouquins et accès libre à la machine à café.|Un petit déjeuner simple mais sympa.|Un emplacement excellent à 50 m du métro St Paul sur la ligne 1.|Un quartier vivant, humain avec plein de petits resto sympa.|Une équipe hyper sympathique.|Tout pour être sûre de revenir ! !

Heerlijke kamers met grote ramen en daardoor veel licht. Typisch Parijs dus lekker smal. Bedden stond op wieltjes??
De service was echt geweldig. Heel persoonlijk en hielpen met alles waar je hulp voor nodig had. Hadden nog speciaal cadeautje neer gezet omdat we wat te vieren hadden.
Locatie is ook meer dan top. 2 verschillende metro’s dichtbij en erg veel leuke (en betaalbare) restaurantjes.
Zeker aan te raden!!!

Ein wunderschönes Hotel im Marais Viertel von Paris. Wir würden es (jungen) und mobilen Paaren empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, wir hatten eine Suite im obersten (6.) Stockwerk. Zu wissen ist, dass der Aufzug sehr klein ist, und auch das Stiegenhaus. Das kann mit Gepäck etwas eng werden. Für uns hat das super gepasst, wir waren froh über ein paar extra Schritte. Es ist sicher gut zu wissen bei einer Buchung. Der Ausblick speziell aus den oberen Stockwerken - Stichwort Sonnenuntergang - ist besonders. Es gibt auch ein (kleines) Frühstück direkt im Eingangsbereich des Hotels. Das haben wir einmal spontan ausgewählt und Kaffee sowie Croissants waren wunderbar. Am Tag der Abreise kann man das Gepäck gerne (kostenlos) länger im Haus lassen, das haben wir auch genutzt und uns darüber gefreut. Danke und à bientôt !
