Nourriture vraiment excellente. Perso j'adore

Traditional French dishes prepared poorly with no blending of flavors. Enjoy the atmosphere but don’t expect to enjoy the food.

Wanted a light meal so we can try other French specialities while walking around, tried to order 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and a dessert for 4 but lady was rude and said “no not enough”, threw the menu back at us and walked away without an explanation. Someone had to come back later and explained you have to order 4 entrees for a group of 4.

If we would’ve known, we would’ve but I can’t justify paying for rudeness especially when combined with a limited options menu. Owner/chef lady didn’t seem to care for foreigners anyway.

fish undercooked, my sister ordered the aubergine with meat but got a vegetarian one (and the owner would not admit there was absolutely no meat in there). only one vegetarian main dish. I tried to order two starters (which cost more than the single main dish) but the owner told me that I HAD TO order one main dish.

Sadly, this place did not live up to the hype almost everyone in my party said their food was overcooked and dry. Service was good, but overall the experience did not live up to our expectations.

a place of extraordinary homeliness. Medieval house, beautiful old interior. The service is excellent, and you feel like you're visiting your grandparents.
The food is delicious; it's a great place to sample traditional French cuisine. For us, it was another jewel in the Parisian crown

We were warned before travelling to France that the servers there can be cold... even though that may be untrue, the server here was as far from that as you could possibly be! He was an endless supply of dad jokes, cutting people's meals for them, and going out of his way to serve.

We think it's an older couple who run it; the husband does the serving and the wife makes all the meals by herself. The lower level was full when we visited but we still received our meals in a reasonable amount of time. How she cooks all that, I have no idea!

The medieval theme may look like a tourist trap when you first walk in but it adds so much charm to the old building (even the visit to the WC!). The menu is full of classic French dishes and we enjoyed the rabbit and cassoulet.

Only downside is the popularity and size of this place means you are pretty much sitting banquet style with the other guests so there is very little private conversation possible.

So happy to have made this our final meal of Paris!

Our food was delicious, the service friendly and welcoming. We ate our first meal here when we visited Paris, and it really set a great tone for the trip. Ile Saint Louis is relatively quiet, and Anysetiers du Roy is in a lovely stone building. It is a fairly small restaurant; the day we were there for lunch, there were only two folks working, and they did a great job getting food out quickly - and the food was delicious. Coq Au Vin was perfectly flavored without being too salty. 100% recommend.

A recommander !

Come here for classic French dishes in a cozy dining room. Everything is home cooked and you will find good traditional recipes. I have been here twice in the past few years. It is a reliable choice for a good experience. A tourist experience without being touristy. I recommend it.

P.s. the restaurant is small and popular so it is advisable to book

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The medieval setting is worth all the money. Most importantly, I did not expect the food to taste so incredible. The dishes may appear simple, yet they are cooked to be uniquely flavorful. To top it all off, I paid a visit on my birthday and the server brought me my tarte tatin I had ordered with a candle and he sang along. It was one of the most special birthdays I have had. Eventually my friend and I ended up making friends with the other people next to us, so the atmosphere was definitely wonderful and lively. From the dishes I can recommend the onion soup and the chicken fricasse, and when I return I would like to try the sirloin steak with vegetables. I cannot wait to visit here again!

Ugly behavior from the old man who works at (owns?) this place. I made a special trip here for the cassoulet and arrived 45 minutes after the advertised opening only to find it shut closed. I took a walk around and came back 15 minutes later to see an old man in street clothes smoking in the doorway. I asked, “C’est ouvert?” and he yelled at me for not saying “bonjour” first. I should have walked away right then.

Then a family of Asian Americans arrived (speaking French same as I), and he was horribly rude to them. They kept saying “désolé” over and over but his frown only got worse.

Guess who he was nice as pie to? The natives. Don’t come here unless you want xenophobia and bland food.

Honestly one of the best meals I ever have had. The woman who does the cooking is sublime. The server was fun too! Plus a lot medieval charm.

The camaraderie between the monsieur and the patrons makes this place an absolute gem. Such a characterful place, not to be missed. My boyfriend recommends the bœuf bourguignon ????

This was an absolute delight - the food was delicious. I had the onion soup which was one of the tastiest I’ve had as well as was the beef with potato gratinee, veggies and a wonderful mushroom gravy. The owner/chef - Lillian, was such a dear. I chatted with other patrons which gave it a familiar convivial feel.
