A hidden gem in the heart of Paris!

L’Îlot Vache is a charming, cozy restaurant that perfectly captures the spirit of French hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is intimate and rustic, with just the right touch of elegance—ideal for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and rich with authentic French flavors. The duck confit was tender and flavorful, and the tarte Tatin was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Their wine selection is thoughtful and pairs perfectly with the menu.

Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations in English when needed.

If you’re looking for a true Parisian dining experience away from the tourist traps, L’Îlot Vache is not to be missed. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris!

Были в этом заведении с девушкой. Заказывали фуа-гра, луковый суп и ягнёнка, томлённого 7 часов. Все блюда были очень вкусными — особенно понравилось, как приготовлено мясо: нежное и тающее во рту. Атмосфера уютная, обслуживание на высоте: официанты внимательные, вежливые и услужливые. Отличное место, обязательно вернёмся.

The salad I ordered had black spots on the lettuce.
It was a rather small portion.

The steak of the kids menu was ok.
I paid 9 Euro for a bottle of water.

The staff pretty unprofessional and slow.

I would not eat there again.

Une super expérience ! L’ambiance est chaleureuse, le personnel très professionnel tout en restant plein de bonne humeur. On s’y sent vraiment bien accueilli. En plus, nous avons très bien mangé : des plats savoureux et bien présentés. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Bizarre and annoying experience here yesterday and I’ve enjoyed a pleasant dinner at the restaurant on a past trip. Dinner was fine and then they brought me a communal, used terrine with just thin remnant scrapings (a few ounces at most) of mousse clinging to the terrine wall instead of the two scoops of their “famous” chocolate mousse pictured on others’ reviews here and being delivered to adjacent tables. We’d seen them do this as a funny (I’m being generous on that one) “prank” when we first sat down but they then brought that customer the actual dessert on a clean, personal plate. I however sat there waiting for 15 minutes while my family ate their desserts and the woman and man tending the restaurant refused to bring me the actual dessert, saying it was a special treat to be handed the used communal serving bowl. Disgusting. We had seen this same bowl be handed to the table next to us and sat there picking up that table’s germs. They then tried to charge us for it until we contested the item on the bill, at which point they again asserted this had been the actual dessert. A silly, sour note to end the evening on and a clear sign of disrespect for visitors. There are far better options in proximity than to waste time at a restaurant that brings a dirty, used dessert and considers it acceptable or amusing.

Das Essen und das Ambiente waren ok, leider war der Service unprofesionell und unfreundlich.

Eine Servicekraft hatte privaten Besuch, dieser saß am Nachbartisch, weswegen die Kellnerin, die ganze Zeit direkt bei uns am Tisch stand und sich mit ihrer Freundin unterhielt, auf unseren Hinweis, daß wir uns dadurch gestört fühlten ging die Freundin und die Kellnerin war anscheinend eingeschnappt, da uns anschließend nur noch ihre Kollegin bediente.
Auf Nachfrage ob es geschmeckt hatte, bejahte meine Freundin, wies aber daraufhin, dass die Teller leider kalt an den Tisch gekommenwaren, woraufhin die Bedienung entgegnete, dass dies normal sei in Paris.

Amazing atmosphere! We tried it a couple of years ago and found it equally worth it today. Prices are up but 5 stars for sure overall for the awesome service and food.

Perfect French restaurant in the heart of Isle Saint Louis. The atmosphere is great and the food absolutely delicious ????. The wine selection is great. Dinner was a wonderful experience and very enjoyable. The staff was attentive and helpful. We definitely will be back for more French food.
