Brilliant hotel, in a lovely residential area of Paris. Staff are super. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now and it’s definitely where I will choose next time we visit Paris.

We are just back from a Family trip to Paris, and I have to say the experience at The Wallace Hotel and Bar was outstanding. I was travelling with my 18 month old daughter and the team at the hotel were so patient and kind with us, they even gave my daughter a cute little bear along with a story! The room was perfect for our family and the breakfast was great, along with a very central location. Will definitely return!

The room is very nice, as is the stuff on the night shift on the 15th Feb but the ladies on the day shift were not very friendly.

The housekeeping always make a big nosie start around 9 am, such as closing the door unproperly and didn't lower their voice when talking with each others.

This hotel, located in a fairly central area, offers reasonable prices, with a stay costing £400 for three nights in the first half of February. The rooms and overall establishment maintain cleanliness and tidiness, featuring comfortable beds in quiet rooms, ensuring a restful stay. However, it's important to note that our room (201) experienced an issue with food odors coming through the air vents, necessitating the windows to be kept open. Without this inconvenience, the hotel could easily have earned a five-star rating from us, given its price and location. I should finally mention that this hotel is featured on specialised booking service Mr. and Mrs. Smith - which is what made me consider Le Wallace in the first place.

The hotel's staff generally speak very little English, which might pose a challenge for non-French speaking guests. Despite this, the bar staff are notably friendly, contributing to the bar's calm and quiet atmosphere, although it lacks liveliness. The gym, while clean, is minimally equipped with just two treadmills, one rowing machine, two sets of stackable dumbbells (up to approximately 12 kg), one low resistance band, and a few yoga mats. The breakfast stands out for its good assortment of sweet and savory pastries, alongside fruits, homemade granola, plain yogurt, and cheeses.

The hotel is strategically situated close to the Eiffel Tower and serves as an excellent base for exploring. Just behind the hotel, guests can find the 'bateau mouches' for a scenic river cruise, and it's also conveniently near the Avenue Emile Zola metro stop, the Hotel des Invalides, and perfect for walks or runs along the Seine. However, the nearby Vla Croix Nivert area, with its projects and 'semi-social' housing complexes, warrants caution, especially at night, though it's small and easily avoidable.

The surrounding area can feel quite 'dead' and potentially unsafe at night, making the hotel a practical choice primarily as a base for daytime excursions to more vibrant and glamorous locales.

Tips:
Sharma Ji: Located just 400m away, this newly-opened Indian restaurant is incredible, with friendly staff and accolades from the Michelin app.

O Coffee: About 650m away, this local favorite is excellent for breakfast and brunch, famous for its French toast and eggs benedict, though it gets very busy on weekends.

Great design with a smart room layout, all at a good price for Paris. The area is tranquil yet conveniently close to key attractions. The hotel boasts a distinct character in its overall design and features a nice bar/lounge area along with a cool rooftop. Although the gym is minimal, it's well-equipped. Additionally, the hotel offers a private workspace. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, and room insulation is excellent, likely due to triple-glazed windows, ensuring a quiet environment.

Me gustó volveria

This is a must go when you are staying in Paris. You are warmly welcomed by an excellent team who is waiting for you with a fresh homemade cake and flavored water. The rooms are super quiet, small but well arranged to create space enough even with a large luggage. The breakfast is served downstairs where you will be able to enjoy the natural light. All the products are local, homemade and high quality. It’s easy access to CDG and metro if you want to go around and visit Paris. They are plenty of stores close by in Rue du Commerce. I will certainly stay again at the Wallace Hotel when travelling to Paris.

I almost never write a bad review preferring to speak with someone at the hotel but there was no manager on site. The only communication I had with management was an online bot sending me a survey and despite my stating in that that I was having some issues I got no response. I work in Paris a lot and have stayed in many hotels and this will definitely stay in my memory as one of the worst. There are a few good things about the hotel. Each room has a bathroom. And there is an elevator. The insects in the room I could consider lovely company though I am hoping they don’t choose to return home with me. Breakfast is self serve which is convenient if it is raining and you don’t want to go to the cute bakery next door. However, the self serve hard boiled egg boiler despite leaving my eggs in for 10 minutes still came out raw.

I laugh at the view they post of the Eiffel Tower that implies you see it from the terrace. I wonder if they used a drone for this given that from the terrace you are in a valley of taller buildings that virtually obstruct the view except the tiniest tip.
