We couldn't have chosen a better location or choice of accommodation for our recent "house hunting" trip. The lodge was perfect for Julie's 94 year old, wheelchair bound mother, and us too! Sadly we didn't really have time to take advantage of the wine tour, but we intend to rectify this on our next visit! Thanks Caro for looking after us and for the leaving present! Some of the most attentive hosts you could ever ask for. Caro is both a knowledgable and caring person who seems to love it when you walk away having gained a deeper insight into her passion of wine

I stayed in the chateau for a few days taking part in multi-day wine classes/tours where we visited vineyards, explored French wines and (most importantly) tasted lots of them!

Although I was a solo traveller, Caro went out of her way to personalise my experience so I could get the best out of the classes she was running. Her open minded and fluid teaching style is a great touch
She was even kind enough to help me arrange an authentic French village Michelin star experience. A once-in-a-lifetime trip

It’s safe to say my tastebuds were pleased during the whole stay

“Once-in-a-lifetime” isn’t technically true because I’ll definitely be back to visit

The wine tasting with picnic experience is simply amazing!
The tour is very interesting, I learn a lot about organic biodynamic wine, thanks to Caro, she has explained everything so clearly and she is such a lovely person.
The food and the wine were delicious, in addition I am vegan and Caro has been so kind to find for me the right vegan food to pair with the wine. I highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Chateau Feely. The accomodation (the Wine Cottage) was lovely and ideal for 2 people. The lady of the house, Caro, and her husband Sean, could not have been more welcoming and helpful, organising an 'apero' evening (very informal) with the other guests, a tour of the vinyard and a wine tasting, explaining their method of winemaking (organic) which was very informative and good fun as well. The countryside is beautiful and there's a lovely restaurant (Le Melange) in the local village Saussignac which is walking distance from the chateau. Highly recommended. Anne & Brendan Costelloe

I have purchased the stay in Chateau Feely for my boyfriend Xmas present as he has same surname and he really wanted to visit it.
We have had absolutely fantastic stay with amazing views on the vineyards.
We have done a great tour around with Caro ❤️

My husband and I stayed a week in the Wine Lodge at Chateau Feely and had a wonderful stay. The setting is perfect. Views from the bedroom and living room are of vineyards and classic French countryside. Sunrise is spectacular and when the mists roll in, it becomes magical. The lodge itself is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. We cooked in several times. The location is great for exploring the Dordogne and Bordeaux. And best of all are Caro and Sean, the hosts. They are fabulous…so willing to share their knowledge and love of wine, food and the planet. We look forward to another visit!

We've stayed at the Wine Lodge every summer for the past 9 years with our two children. We love the views, the pool, the wine evenings in Saussignac, doing treasure hunts in the vineyard, chatting to Caro and Sean and chilling out! We highly recommend canoeing on the Dordogne whilst visiting too. The Wine Lodge is well equipped and all on one floor so perfect for little children. It is an excellent holiday location.

This is such an idyllic place to stay. From the organic/biodynamic vineyard and wine tasting experience to the vast experience that Caro imparts to each of her guests. We can’t fault this place for rest and recreation.

This is the tenth year that myself and husband have stayed at Chateau Feely, which I think speaks for itself. We have stayed in both the wine cottage and lodge which are both lovely and well equipped. Caro and Sean’s ethos in using biodynamic farming methods is inspiring.
Our oldest son came out for a visit and we did wine tasting and lunch, learning more about the whole process , so much more to know since we did it ten years previously. Highly recommend all that Chateau Feely has to offer.

I had an absolutely lovely week at Chateau Feely! Staying in the wine cottage was perfect for a peaceful week relaxing at the vineyard and pool on the property, as well as exploring other vineyards in Saussignac and nearby Bergerac and St. Emillion by train. I was in awe of Chateau Feely’s natural beauty and energy — it’s indescribable. Caro and Sean were very kind and welcoming hosts and I appreciated their commitment to sustainability. I also practiced yoga and did a wine tasting lunch with Caro and some other travelers, which was fantastic. There’s nothing like practicing yoga with such beautiful natural surroundings! I highly recommend Chateau Feely for a calming vacation for any yoga and wine lover.

What an experience! Caro is the perfect host. Delivering a professional and personalised experience in the most perfect setting - rolling vineyards in an idyllic village. Caro’s experience and knowledge were evident from the moment she warmly welcomed us. We have undertaken many wine tastings. This is much more than a tasting. It’s a French cultural, culinary and oenology experience like no other we have experienced. We look forward to returning!

From my first contact, Caro's enthusiasm and high level of service have not diminished.
I brought a small group to do wine tastings in the area and everyone was so pleased learning about the winery through Caro's personal tour and of course their wines. A couple from the group loved the wine so much, they couldn't resist sending some back to the US even though they weren't going to make any wine purchases as they had to fly home.
Definitely a winery to re-visit and soon!

Small independent wine producer in the Saussignac wine region. Outstanding organic wines to taste. We took the vinyard tour with Cato who was both informative and funny. The wines we tasted were superb. A good 3 hours before we left. Book on line and tour starts at 10:30. More personalised than the large chateau tours. A must if you wish to try outstanding wines produced by small independent growers. Book yourselves on you'll love it. They also have accommodation to rent.

We had an amazing experience at Chateau Feely. We did the Michelin Star chef's wine and food pairing, and were not disappointed. After a brief tour of the vineyards, Caro gave us a personalized tasting, complete with a detailed description of the wines and what to expect. The pairings enhanced the wines, and were spectacular. We were never rushed and felt like we guests at a friend's house.

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying in the wine lodge at Chateau Feely and doing a five day walking tour with the amazing Caro Feely . Caro and her husband Sean are passionate about their vineyard and were a perfect hosts
We tasted some great wines locally in saussignac including chateau Feely’s own superb organic wine , St Emillion , Bergerac and Monbazillac . We had some excellent food from oysters in Bergerac , the pizza van on a Wednesday evening in Saussignac to a superb Michelin starred lunch at Le Vieux Logis in Tremolat .
The weather was extremely hot - just what the vines needed - and it was lovely to spend a couple of hours cooling off in the pool looking out over the vineyard after a day of exciting adventures .
A truly memorable week !

What a beautiful setting and vineyard with a brilliant experience, myself and my recently accepted fionce went for the full day tour and wine making experience. It was exceptional from start to finish. I had been planning this as a surprise engagement present for my partner and Caro (the host) stayed in touch for months to make sure everything was prepared and informed. She gave us directions to a local train station and came and picked us up and later dropped us off at a local hotel.
I had not been to an event like thos before but I felt at home and comfortable the whole day and really enjoyed learning the whole process in how they make their organic wine at the Freely vineyard.
I can't say thank you enough, my girlfriend and I simply enjoyed our visit from start to finish and that was down to the host and setting which are all excellent and I can't recommend paying a visit to hear enough.

We did the full day wine tour with lunch in May 2024 and we visited a variety of organic vineyards across Saint- Emilion.

She took us to Jean Faure and Chateau Bernateau, and proved to be exceptionally knowledgable about the region, the wine making process and any other questions we posed.

For lunch we went to Chateau de Candale and the food was incredible and it was a great way to break up our tastings. We loved learning about what brought Caro and her husband Sean to the area.

Caro thought of everything, helping us pick accommodation in Saint-Emilion, answering our questions and even giving us some wine from Chateau Feely and a book when the tour ended.

We got a voucher for this experience as an engagement present, and it was one of the best presents we have ever received. An unforgettable day and it's inspired a whole new level of curiosity about wine. We would definitely recommend this as a gift for someone you love or for yourself!

We hope we meet you again Caro, it was such a pleasure!

We had a very enjoyable and informative tour and tasting at Chateau Feely. Caro, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share her experiences with bio- dynamic wine production. We purchased some wine on premises and also chose some wines to be sent home. In addition, we have been greatly enjoying reading her first two books and look forward to reading the second two books. My family and I stayed for a week this summer and it was wonderful. This was my 3rd time visiting and was once again a great experience. The accommodations are very comfortable, the setting is beautiful, and Caro always has a good plan to meet her clients’ needs.
