Avis LA VIA FERRATA DE CHISA Chisa

We did this via ferrata on June 12, 2025.

First, PAYMENT IN CASH ONLY!!!

Luckily we had cash with us, but there was also a family who didn't have enough cash.

Since the organizer didn't have any way to pay by card/PayPal,
I helped the family, and they transferred me money via PayPal, and I gave them cash for payment. Luckily the village had good internet connections.
The entrance fee of 20e was quite high in my opinion.
We had our own harnesses/helmets, but we also rented a roller set for the zip line from them. It cost 3e.
So 23e per climber.

We got a good instruction before starting how to use the zip line.

It took us about 3 hours to complete the entire course. From the car, back to the car. But there was no queue in front of us, so no waiting.
Unfortunately, the last zip line section, which is over 200m long, was closed for some reason.
We have climbed ferratas in 5 different countries, this was the first in France.

The level was stated as D, I would say max C.

So I think it's a bit more demanding, but suitable even for families, if you've done a few via ferratas before.
I didn't remember to ask what time the equipment rental place was open, because when we came back it was closed, and we left the equipment outside, in the requested place.
We started climbing at about 11 am, and we were able to do most of the climbing in the shade, which was pleasant.

La personne à l'accueil est très sympathique et parcours magnifique cependant ne surtout pas utiliser de poulies speed mon conjoint s'est gravement brûlé à la nuque avec le câble de la poulie à l'arrivée de la première tyrolienne, d'autres part même avec une autre poulie ce système prévoit de s'installer avec la tête beaucoup trop près du câble. Le freinage par élastique est très limite on se prend les pieds dedant (ce qui est déjà dangereux) mais ça nous arrête à peine et pas de matelas à l'arrivée donc la paroie est prise de plein fouet résultats le cou brûlé le genou abîmé et les côtes très malmenées. Je déconseille TOUTES les tyroliennes de ce parcours tant qu'il ne sera pas revu bien dommage car tout le reste est bien pensé.

Sehr schöne Via Ferrata, top abgesichert, etwas weniger Metall hätte allerdings auch gereicht da der Fels schön griffig ist. Die Tyrolliennes sind witzig und nach der kurze Einführung am Anfang auch problemlos zu benutzen. Gut zu wissen, das Material wird nur bis 11.30 ausgegeben!
Die Ferrata ist technisch und kraftmässig nicht sehr anspruchsvoll aber definitiv nicht für Anfänger geeignet. Das Personal ist super freundlich, spricht allerdings nur französisch.

Bella ferrata sportiva , in un luogo poco frequentato. Personale esaustivo nelle spiegazioni.
Arrivare sul posto all’ apertura per evitare le ore più calde data l esposizione.
Alcuni tratti impegnativi perché esposti ma sempre ben attrezzati.
Da non considerare come prima esperienza. Personalmente non porterei i miei figli.

Super cite accueil de Maguy très sympathique . La via ferata reste sportive mais offre des vues magnifiques avec une variété de couleurs de roches je recommande le site ???? Guy

Belle via ferrata avec belle vue et parcours sympathique en D. Gros bémol toutefois concernant les tyroliennes qui ne sont pas du tout sécurisées. (Système de freinage artisanal fait de 2 longes , que l’on peut se prendre dans les jambes ou les bras, plateformes de départ ou de réception inadaptées car trop petites et câbles de la tyrolienne trop proche de la tête ! En bonus il faut s’aider des bras pour finir les tyroliennes). Étant habituée des vias ferratas , un matelas de réception et un autre système de freins serait à mettre en place. Je déconseille cette via aux débutants.

Superbe via ferrata. Équipement et consigne détaillées données au départ. Bon matériel. Personnel sympa. Elle est moyennement difficile mais bien entretenu. Tyroliennes sympa mais les freins sont un peu brutes !

Via ferrata très sympa à faire, mais un petit peu technique (notemment un mini passage en très léger dévers avec contournement de la paroi en même temps, au final physiquement ce n'était pas si dur, mais c'était quand même impressionnant) et les freins des tyroliennes pas hyper bien foutus voire un peu brutaux.
En tout cas tout était plutôt bien aménagé, les 20€ pour le droit de passage sont justifiés.
Possibilité de louer le matériel auprès de la mairie du village juste avant, pour 10€ par personne.

Accueilli par une personne très compétente et adorable.
Une belle via ferrata, dans un cadre magnifique…
Le tarif de 18 euro est correct, ne vaut pas plus,
Je conseil de prendre des gants pour le parcours ils s’avéreront utile car la via ferrata est sportive

Accueil déplorable, et ne prend pas les cartes de crédit en 2023.

Nous avons passé un super moment en famille. L'accueil et les explications étaient excellents. Paysages à couper le souffle. Comme indiqué le parcours est sportif.????‍♂️

Well equiped and carefully planed via ferrata with informative guidance during the road and with beautiful views. Just the last zipe line was terrible. We stocked in the middle and we had to pull ourselves forward for about 100-130m with was very exausting and equired a lot of phisical power. It destroyed the overal feeling of the climb.

Superbe via Ferrara, la personne a l’accueil donne tous les conseils nécessaires, elle est très compétente.

À notre arrivée, nous avons eu de bonnes explications sur le matériel, le parcours et les bons gestes à adopter, notamment pour les tyroliennes.

Nous avions quelques appréhensions sur la difficulté (nous faisons un peu de sport/d'escalade mais n'avions jamais fait de via ferrata et certains commentaires n'étaient pas rassurants), mais finalement le parcours s'est déroulé sans aucun problème ! Certains morceaux peuvent être très vertigineux, mais la vue depuis la table d'orientation en vaut la chandelle !

À noter qu'il faut réserver afin de s'assurer de pouvoir avoir du matériel en location (nous recommandons d'ailleurs de prendre les gants pour 2€ en plus afin d'éviter toute brûlure/blessure).

Je recommande cette expérience sans hésitation !

Très belle via ferrata, bien équipée et secure, côté D et qui les vaut. Très ludique avec ses nombreux ponts et surtout 4 tyroliennes plus impressionnantes les unes que les autres. Dommage que celle ci soit payante (20€ d'entrée + 3€ pour la poulie soit disant spécifique).

My gf and I did the ferrara without any prior experience :) it was not that difficult as it might seem .. the overhang is a bit challenging but still fine and the last zipline is a bit tricky - you really must not brake (so hold your belt only - nothing else .. and make sure you have the elastic ropes) ...

when we arrived the hut was empty so we called the lady (number is on the hut) .. she arrived in a jiffy, gave us the equipment and explained what to do on the zipline... we were all set in approx 10-15mins .. tho, it would be worth mentioning the zipline might get really tricky (especially the last one so pls be very careful there .. my gf burnt her arm when she started turning on the side during the "flight") .. if you do not have a basic French and are not super confident in English, check some tutorials ahead for the lady does not really speak well English and used a lot of french words (luckily, we speak french so it wasnt an issue for us) ..

almost all passages have escape route in case there is a deffect,
missing brake ropes on the zipline, or if you just too tired or scared to do that.. you can easily go around or return .. tho we didn't use these options (did it all) ..

the trail is very well marked so you cannot get lost

all parts were in a very good conditions, brakes were fine and not dangerous to anyone as mention years ago in the reviews below or on other sites.. we felt safe (except the last zipline where my gf got injured... it would be better if there was a rope instead of connecting the pullie directly to the set which forces you to lean backwards a lot instead of being naturally below the cable - thx to the length of the cord... not to mention it would be easier to plug yourself to the pullie.. sometimes you might find yourself in a very weird positions :)) this would be my suggestion to the management.. ) ..

Sehr schöner Klettersteig auf Korsika!

Die Internetseite ist leider nur auf Französisch und gibt auch nicht wirklich viel her, daher hier ein paar Infos:
Man erreicht den Parkplatz über die Suche bei Google Maps "Via Ferrata Chisa". Dort findet ihr ein kleines Holz Häuschen. Geöffnet ist dieses täglich von 09:00 - 13:00 Uhr. Der Zugang zum Klettersteig kostet für Erwachsene je 20€ + 12€ für die Ausrüstung (Helm, Gurt, Handschuhe, Equipment für die Seilrutschen).
Wir mussten die Dame, die uns die Sachen gibt, allerdings erst im gegenüberliegenden Restaurant suchen. Die Auskunft und Einweisung erfolgte dann auch ausschließlich auf Französisch. Die Dame war sehr freundlich, jedoch hätten wir uns über die ein oder andere Erklärung auf Englisch gefreut. Mit Händen und Füßen und durch unsere bisherigen Klettererfahrungen klappte es dann aber doch soweit problemlos.

Nach ca. 15min Wanderung durch schattige Wälder erwartete uns die erste Steilwand. Gut gesichert ging es recht einfach über die Stahlverankerungen als Treppe nutzend steil den Berg hinauf. Man sollte definitiv schwindelfrei sein, ausreichend Wasser dabei haben und gutes Schuhwerk (am besten Wanderschuhe) tragen. Auch eine gewisse Erfahrung an Klettersteigen, Kletterparks o.ä. kann nicht schaden.

Die einzelnen Elemente (Seilbrücken, Seilrutschen) waren alle durchaus machbar und haben viel Spaß gemacht. Bei den Seilrutschen war beim Einstieg manchmal sehr wenige Platz, aber irgendwie ging es dann doch. Es hetzt einen ja auch niemand, denn der Steig war glücklicherweise nicht überlaufen. Am Ende der Seilrutschen wird man automatisch abgebremst und man muss die letzten ca. 4 Meter aus eigener Kraft bis zum Ende ziehen. Klappte aber auch ;)

Allerdings gab es für mich (1,65m groß) zwei Kletterpassagen am Fels mit Überhang, die wirklich nicht zu unterschätzen sind! Hier sollte der Größere und Stärkere vorgehen, um anderen an diesen Stellen helfen zu können.
Dementsprechend sollte man sich auch vorher gut überlegen, ob man den Steig mit Kindern geht (laut Auskunft ab 12 Jahren). Eine gewisse Körpergröße für die auseinanderliegenden Stahlstufen ist in jedem Fall hilfreich.

Wir haben ca. 3,5 Stunden für die reine Begehung des Klettersteigs benötigt + ca. 35min für Zu- und Abstieg.

Empfehlen den Klettersteig gerne jedem, der Spaß am Klettern hat und die Höhe nicht scheut!

Lors de nos vacances en juin nous avons fait la via ferrata de Chisa ... on avait le matériel personnel sauf la poulie pour les tyroliennes qui nous a coûté 23€ chacun ...
Nous avons été déçu car en Suisse les via sont gratuites et bien entretenues
A chisa ca nous a coûté 23 € pour une poulie et surtout pour l entretien déplorable de la via ferrata... ronces non coupée, chemin mal indiqué et mal entretenu ...
C est dommage car cette via ferrata est belle et forte en émotions mais l entretien laisse à déploré

Première partie descendante sans grand intérêt, et elle prend du temps. La seconde partie remontante est plus sympathique avec quelques passages techniques et ludique. La troisième partie est sans intérêt aussi, seul le final de randonnée sur la crête est sympathique.

You can come to the starting point at 9:00 and rent the equipment. Minimum age is 12 years. There is a number you can call if nobody is there and someone will come if you call. It is recommend to start early, because the mountain side will still in the shadows. The Ferrata is mostly easy and has a lot of long tyroliennes, but you still should be sporty and nit afraid of height to do it. The only difficult part is a little overhang at the top, after the net.

My first via ferrata, since I am very short girl (1,55m) it was no problem for me to climb it. Difficulty wasnt that hard as they said, but people stuggling with heights could have pretty hard time there. Superb beautiful via ferrata with 4 long ziplines, very safe climbing. Astonishing views, every meter was enjoyed 100% <3

Paráááda

Une très belle expérience ! Parcours difficile mais sécurisé et avec de beaux paysages. Des échappatoires permettent d'éviter certaines parties compliquées.
Un conseil, profitez du gîte situé en face du chalet de la via ferrata, on y mange très bien et on y trouve un super accueil !
