DOMAINE DE LA VALETTE

We had an excellent stay at Ferme Cante Cocu. The gite was perfect and the location ideal for relaxing with beautiful woodland walks and lots of farm animals to entertain us. We also sampled some of the farms delicious produce. Fabienne and Arnaud are wonderful hosts.

We stayed in the Lavande Gite for 7 nights. Our hosts Fabienne and Arnaud are just fabulous,|Very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The farm and gite are in a fantastic, peaceful setting, with immaculate grounds. Our gite was the Lavande which was full of character and charm with quality appointments. It was like a compact home from home. The grounds were lovely with private lounging areas at each gite and two fantastic pools. Cleanliness was of the highest standard and everything was just very tastefully done. Fabienne was always on hand to assist if required with any advice or recommendations for places to visit or eat. We have visited a number of gites over the years and would consider this to be one of the very best. You would not be disappointed if you stayed here. Great location close to many local places of interest I.e Sarlat, Bergerac, Brantom etc. in the morning it was a nice touch to have a fresh baguette and croissants delivered to your gite. We can’t recommend the gites highly enough. It was so good we left our pet mouse to stay indefinitely.. What an idyllic place - we had the most relaxing week at Domaine de La Valette in June. The gîtes are beautiful; everything is top quality, the beds are really comfortable, the whole place is immaculate and so beautifully done. We enjoyed some sunshine, and spent a few days relaxing by the pool - of which there are two, once for a dip, and the other for adults doing laps to work off the cheese and wine. Again, the pool area is stunningly designed and maintained, with views across the fields in amidst the lush landscape of the Dordogne. We enjoyed a few hikes around the local area (no need to drive anywhere - you can start from the Domaine), and a morning at Bergerac market (highly recommend). There's a lot to keep you busy in the local area, if so inclined - we opted to really kick back and relax and spent our time playing petanque, swimming, walking and reading all at Domaine de la Valette. The surrounding farm is lovely - the heritage breeds are magnificent, and we enjoyed the various steaks from the farm deli. Each morning when we went downstairs, a basket of croissants and fresh baguette were left for us - just fantastic. We are already planning a return trip - perhaps we'll venture out kayaking, or visit one of the many vineyards locally - but equally we know we'll have a fantastic time if we stay put! A nod to the gorgeous doggies, Maguy and Oska, who are the friendliest and most gentle and well behaved dogs we've met. We've become firm friends!! Fabienne and Arnaud have a very special place in Domaine de la Valette, and we're so pleased to have found this gem - they couldn't have been better hosts. Merci!

Un endroit magnifique, convivial, où il fait bon se retrouver et passer des moments de qualité en famille ou entre amis. ||Tout est pensé avec goût pour faire de ce séjour une escapade ressourçante et hors du temps.||Les hôtes sont particulièrement attentionnés, nous avons adoré la visite de la ferme ! ||Aussi, quel plaisir de pouvoir déguster les produits sur place. Du producteur à l'assiette, on ne peut pas faire plus court et délicieux !||Merci à Fabienne & Arnaud

Un week-end exceptionnel en famille, dans le calme et le charme du domaine de La Valette en Périgord.

Grand confort, haute qualité des prestations, accueil souriant et attentionné, visites guidées et dégustations des savoureux produits de la ferme, avec toutes les explications sur leur soigneuse préparation... Tout est si pro, et en même temps fait avec grande simplicité et naturel.

Promis, nous reviendrons pour profiter cette fois des multiples randonnées et balades VTT au départ du domaine. Si on en juge par la vue sur la forêt tout autour, cela promet d'être magnifique !
