Restaurant réservé la veille à 12:30, une fois arrivé sur place : on nous demande d’attendre 30 min pour pouvoir accéder à notre table : Inutile de réserver une table, ce concept leur est étranger.
“Ensuite” nous passons commande, ils ne retiennent hélas pas les boissons commandés…
Et pour finir, 35 min entre la commande et l’arrivée du premier plat…
Si vous avez un planning pour l’après midi, je ne vous recommande pas ce restaurant.
En conclusion, Pour un soit disant gastronomique, on en est bien loin tant au niveau des goûts que du service.
Heureusement que le cadre rattrape légèrement tout le reste.

The food was very fresh and great…the atmosphere was amazing! Really would recommend coming for food however be aware that the service was iffy… we were hungry and waiting for our food and they brought the main dish and they brought the wrong dish.

Other than that highly would recommend getting out of your hotel and coming here!

One of the best restaurant in Maurice !!
Food was spot on, service too ! Really good value for money.
Amazing view of the château, you can also visit the gardens or go shopping in a very special mall after eating.
Great offer for vegetarians.
Good luck to the new chef !!
Don't forget to book in advance
We loved it and come again if possible.

Totally worth the trip. This is a stunning place with amazing food of the highest quality with impeccable service. We tasted unique Mauritian ingredients combined with the most sophisticated culinary techniques and beautiful surroundings. You will be happy you got out of your hotel to have this experience.

Un repas excellent ! Une cuisine fine, typique et moderne à la fois. Des goûts différents. Cuisine de très bon niveau. Bravo au chef. Service très professionnel. Peu d'attente. Vraiment un très bon moment à cette table dans un environnement si calme et si beau. Je recommande vivement.

Absolutely beautiful setting with wonderful food. Special mention to the tuna which was cooked perfectly. All of the fish dishes were 10/10. Nice shaded spot to spend a few hours in the hottest part of the day.

Extremely poor service.

We came to have a lunch at the restaurant at 14.15 with the closure time being 17h on Sundays (as stated on the official website).
The manager refused to give us a seat, saying that the kitchen is already closed.
Then when I spoke with the owner of the restaurant, the manager started to lie to the owner that we wanted to get a table in 30 minutes.
The kitchen was yet opened as the owner confirmed but they still didn’t let us have a lunch .
He said “I don’t want to push my team too hard”

Super unfriendly staff! Definitely not recommended!

Eines der besten und qualitativ hochwertigsten Restaurants die ich auf Mauritius besucht habe. Über das Kontaktformular auf der Website habe ich einen Tisch reserviert. Wahnsinn, innerhalb kurzer Zeit hatte ich eine Antwort und einen Tisch bestellt. Wir haben uns einen Romantik-Tisch vorbestellt. Alles sehr kurzfristig, aber möglich gewesen. Der Kontakt war sehr freundlich.

Am Abend hat auch alles geklappt. Wir konnten uns einen Tisch aussuchen und direkt aufs Schloss blicken. Das Ambiente ist traumhaft. Sehr gemütlich und zum Einlagen.

Die Kellner und Kellnerinnen sind sehr freundlich. Sie haben immer wieder nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sein. Uns wurde auch Wasser nachgeschenkt. Der Service ist klasse.

Das Essen war ein Traum. Alles frisch und auf den Punkt gegart.

Ein großer Parkplatz ist neben an, kostenpflichtige.

Wir können es von Herzen empfehlen und ein Muss für jeden Besucher.

Very classy and comfortable setting. Not too many tables. And of course there's the amazing view of the castle while dining. We've been there several times before and i think the quality of the food has improved every time. Food was excellent. We had the lobster bisque, foie gras and Caesar salad as starters. Then we had the legine fillet and prawns on risotto. Service is great. Thanks to Arthy who was amazing all throughout and even helped us take care of the baby !

Ne faites pas la visite du château sans aller manger à ce restaurant ! (Côté mauricien et pas gastro).
Nous avons mangé le menu découverte. C'était un regal du début à la fin. Rien à ajouter, ne ratez pas ça!

Today was our first Christmas lunch at the Chateau and it was amazing experience from start to finish. Elegantly decorated tables, perfect service which has become so rare in Mauritius hence our appreciation. The food was delicious, each course well portioned and served at the right temperature and at the right time. Our favourite was the fish course which was of 3 star quality, bravo to the chef!

In the middle of the Labourdonnais chateau garden, the atmosphere is great. Food and service are ok, this place is a bit pricey but I guess it's just like everything else in the island. If you're visiting the chateau and are super hungry and out of snacks then yes, get a table and have lunch at La table du Chateau...
