Nice hotel and restaurant

Very nice hotel in an amazing location. Staff was freindly and helpful. Room was nice, only issue being the bed is very low to the floor and a little difficult to get out of. Also, the location of the building we were in over the falls did not allow for direct drop off of luggage so we had to wheel it down the sidewalk a bit. We would definitely stay here again. The restaurant was fantastic!

Beautiful venue located in a quaint little town in upstate ny. I loved the backdrop of the river which made the ambiance so nice. Enjoyed our time here and found the food to be pretty good too. Plenty of parking as well in case you drive in. Worth checking out!

Such a lovely elegant restaurant to the service, decor and food. The prices are extremely reasonable and much lower when we dine in Manhattan; our bill is double in NYC.
Exceptional

If you go to their restaurant you'll see the great view But that takes you over and hour to wait for your food. (Brunch time) not a lot of people but SUPER slow. Also, the food is under expected.

This review is strictly for the restaurant. Our entire party was extremely disappointed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, though it lacks professionalism in their service and execution. When looking online it looks as though it's a 5 star restaurant, it's nothing close to that. For the prices they charge the service and food didn't match. The host was extremely unfriendly and lacked class. I dine in high end restaurants often, I wouldn't go back. The food took quite some time and when arrived was mediocre at best. Beautiful restaurant with diner experience at high end prices.

We almost didn't come based on some of the lower reviews but then decided to give it a shot on our own- we were 100% satisfied as the food was delicious, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Had a great Anniversary dinner!

My husband and I had a lovely time celebrating my birthday at the restaurant. The service was amazing, the place is beautiful and the location is great to walk around the town- enjoy the stores around and the beautiful waterfall. We enjoyed every bite of food.
Highly recommended!

This place is a 2 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star. The staff is unprofessional, the service is nonexistent, and the rooms are equivalent to a run down Marriott inn and suites. Stayed here on a Thursday night - we called ahead to ask for a crib to be added to the room ( advertised on the website ). We checked in and asked for the availability of a late check out ( also advertised on the website ). The host agreed to a noon checkout. When we got to the room there was no crib. Called the front desk and they brought up a pack and play that was broken, then left and brought a second pack and play. It's fine but this is not a crib. We brought a crib sheet at their request and not a pack and play sheet. Also, the curtains fall off their tracks and have to be opened by holding the curtain in the track. Out of three shower heads in the shower, only one had pressure and stays facing the way you point it. These are all things I could look over and chalk up to poor maintenance but that really isn't acceptable at this price range. Then at 11:15 pm after we and the baby were all asleep we get a call from the front desk telling us they made a mistake and need us out at 11 am since a "VIP" is arriving the next day that they forgot about. We are the VIP at this moment. How is that person's money worth more than ours? When told how unprofessional and obviously it was the wrong time of night to call ( and honestly just too late for them ) their response was "we didn't know if it was better to tell you tonight to prepare or in the morning". How about showing a modicum of being a professional host and fixing your own problems? This place is a joke. Spend your money elsewhere.

Really wanted to enjoy this hotel for a birthday getaway. The heat stopped working in our room on the first night (low temps were in the teens, definitely needed heat). We notified the front desk and they moved us to the “emergency room” basically in the lobby. This room was half the size of the room we booked and everything was a little bit broken, including the bathroom door which would not stay shut. Every time we asked, the front desk told us they were working on it and would let us know as soon as a comparable room became available. We were never moved or offered a comparable room. Because we paid in full when we made the reservation, the hotel refused to provide any refund. Very disappointed and recommended staying elsewhere.

Beautiful locatoon overlooking the falls. The room was spectacular, located in the mill building. It was spacious. The barn door to the bathroom was difficult and would slide open/not stay closed. Our only interaction with staff was check in and out and a greeting to the maintenance staff. Everyone was curteous. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant as there are so many on Main. This location is phenomenal and we would return.

Great view. Ice cold food! Our main course was obviously sitting in the kitchen getting cold. What a shame!

The food was cold, bland, and overpriced. The service was slow and unwelcoming (probably due to understaffing). Overall not worth it.

So I can't rate the hotel but the restaurant that is attached. OMG. To be honest, it gives you the feel of MONEY. ???? if that makes sense. It's just that beautiful. Especially in the summer with the water fall in the back . Takes my breath away . Top 10 hands down. This is up there with Tao. That's another restaurant, but let me say, don't get Starstruck, lol ???? ???? ???? .

Awesome place to grab dinner and wine and feel right at home. I gave 4 stars because their dishes needs improvement for a 5 star resturant. Please keep in mind that I compare them to resturants in Manhattan. Great place, have fun.

We had my daughters wedding here this past weekend. And the management in this hotel is absolutely horrendous. They are rude and unaccommodating,, and by no means make a bride feel special in any way. They actually argued over extending her a courtesy late check out the day after her wedding. Several of her guests were spoken to so rudely.. the venue portion of this place is amazing but the hotel is horrible. If using this venue for your wedding, I advise having your out-of-town guests go to some of the surrounding hotels. Totally not worth the money.
