A 30 kilomètres au nord de Zadar, proche de Starigrad, cet appart-hôtel s'est installé dans l'ancienne capitainerie du port de Vinjerac. Comme à Senj, c'est un imposant bâtiment en bord de mer, complètement réhabilité, qui abrite désormais 17 appartements et studios modernes, bien décorés et bien équipés (cuisine, réfrigérateur, téléviseur...). Certains ont une vue imprenable sur l'Adriatique, ce qui constitue tout le charme des lieux. Le plus, c'est le parking et l'amarrage privé pour les bateaux. Une adresse pas chère, bien située géographiquement, pour découvrir les richesses naturelles, côté mer, les villes côtières, les îles et archipels (Pag, Vir, Kornati, etc.), côté terre, les montagnes, rivières et lacs dans les parcs nationaux (Velebit, Paklenica, Krka et même Plitvice).

We got into our room on the second day but the attitude from the owner was not nice. Ended up with us checking out after half of our week at Tamarix because of this. Fair enough, we would rather lose that money and go to another hotel to have a good last couple of days on our holiday.
Other than that, I would not say it is a four star standard on the hotel unfortunately. Spider webs in some corners and some towels had stains on them, we were told the AC could not run for longer periods of time. The reception was almost always empty and when calling the reception (the number went to the owners phone) we would hear the ring tone in another room but no amswer.
The location of the hotel is nice though, very close to the water and a beach.
