Un séjour exceptionnel !
Je recommande de venir passer au moins 2 nuits (3 serait ideal) dans cet écolodge.

La vue imprenable sur la sierra Nevada, Minca et même jusqu'à Santa Marta est magnifique. Le coucher de soleil rassemble tous les "résidents" à la pointe.

Super équipe, nourriture végé et locale très bine. Attention c'est un plat unique. Ca ne m'a pas dérangé mais il peut être important de le savoir.

Il est possible a 30/45 minutes de marches max de :
- visiter un village indigène,
- faire une petite rando vers le mirador pour avoir une vue 360
- visiter une culture de café et caco
- en poussant un peu plus bas d'Aller se rafraichir a une cascade

et bien entendu, profiter de la piscine a débordement, des transats a l'ombre d'un manguier, écouter les oiseaux, regarder les colibris...

INCONTOURNABLE

Vue imprenable depuis la piscine et les différents points de vues de l’hôtel.
Plusieurs variantes pour le petit déjeuner ( qui n’est pas inclus dans le prix) mais choix unique pour le déjeuner et dîner.
Le personnel est très sympathique.
Attention uniquement accessible avec un 4x4 ( environ 100 milles pesos) ou moto taxi.
Si vous mangez en pension complète + chambres (pour 3 personnes) il faudra compter approximativement 500€ pour 2 nuits.

Si vous êtes de passage à Minca, une nuitée au minimum s'impose dans ce lieu chargée d'une si belle énergie tant pour la vue, le confort de l'hôtel, son restaurant que pour son staff souriant ! Emerveillez vous au petit déjeuner des colibris butinant les fleurs juste devant vous, puis allez ensuite vous rafraichir dans la piscine qui se font dans ce décor magnifique. Chaque petit détail d'aménagement a été bien réfléchi! Quelle plénitude ! Egalement de très jolies balades aux alentours, dont le mirador ! Terminez votre journée en sirotant un cocktail au coucher de soleil ! Séjour plus que parfait !

Un séjour paradisiaque dans cet écrin de nature ! La vue imprenable sur la Sierra Nevada, depuis la piscine à débordement, est à couper le souffle. La cuisine végétarienne et les cocktails, concoctés avec passion, sont un régal pour les sens. Le personnel, d'une gentillesse inégalée, est constamment aux petits soins. Un immense merci pour cette expérience mémorable. Vivement recommandé à tous ceux qui cherchent une évasion hors du commun. Longue vie à cet endroit magique !

Deuxième séjour à Mundo Nuevo et le charme opère toujours !
Cet endroit est magique : un cadre et une vue exceptionnels, un accueil parfait, des ondes positives de toutes parts ... il ne manque rien.

Quatre jour inoubliable dans un lieu serein, invitant à la paix et à la méditation, au beau milieu d’une nature inspirante. Le service est attentionné et bienveillant. Les repas d’une simplicité parfaite. Une dizaine de mn à moto pour monter, très bien desservi. Je mettrais volontiers 6 étoiles. Une seule envie: y revenir. Merci !

Mundo Nuevo est un havre de paix. Un endroit qui invite à la reconnection, de l’esprit, du corps, et avec les autres si on le souhaite.
Oui, autant de convivialité possible avec les moments de partage (repas sur les grandes tables de 8, piscine partagée, échanges avec le village autochtone qui cohabite sur le site) que de moments d’ introspection sont possible (contemplation de la vue, yoga, détente dans les nombreux hamacs). On sent que le personnel est heureux de contribuer au travail global de Mundo Nuevo, hôtel pour lequel Valérie et son fils, s’efforcent de proposer le meilleur de leur vision du monde. Ici, on ne peut que croire en la beauté du monde.

Lovely location, amazing views especially during the sunrise and sunset.

The views are beautiful. The property is situated high up on a mountain- perfect place to escape from the daily grind-- very tranquil. Lunch/dinner were surprisingly good. Staff are attentive. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The one thing is you have to watch out for the bugs. I was bit pretty bad and didnt even feel it- just saw the after effects. Overall I would love to stay here again!

Honest update on my previous review.

On 23/2, the point of contact at MN, Valérie, promised to have taken the following actions: "I have asked for 3 water tests: water from the kitchen, the bar, and your room." Nevertheless, on 7/3, test results from only the kitchen (where they mainly used boiled water?) were sent over to me by email from a test conducted on 5/3, more than two weeks after the reported contamination.

My partner was diagnosed with Shigella Sonnei (Google it), which can result from water poisoning but also from other poor hygiene situations. In Europe, when a doctor or lab identifies the bacteria, they are obligated to report it to the government, and the 'patient' is required to provide details of all the places they stayed and dined, prompting an alert to the health inspection authorities. The incubation period is very short, 1-5 days (which, as Valérie correctly calculates, averages to about 3). My partner became ill on the 3rd day (exactly the average) after consuming 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, and 1 pool snack at Mundo Nuevo. Valérie is quick to point to our previous stay (Casa Coraje in Palomino), despite it showing 0 mentions of sickness out of 1k+ reviews (287 on Google, 610 on Booking, and 119 on TripAdvisor). Meanwhile, Mundo Nuevo has multiple instances over the last years (and more recent mentions of others being sick too). She also ignores that a fellow guest from the Netherlands experienced the exact timing of symptoms and suffered the same poisoning while we were there.

This was a missed opportunity for a thorough hygiene check and review, taking ownership, as well as better guest communication, which also resulted in responses that were not as guest-friendly as one would expect. The recovery from our stay at Mundo Nuevo is still ongoing, more than 2 weeks later.

We stayed in MN a few days ago for 3 nights. Having read some of the reviews just now, we have to agree with some of the very positive and also less positive comments.

The place is beautiful, outside area wellkept, and clean and getting there is an adventure, we knew we were up for. The staff is hands on and speaks quite good English compared to colombian standards. The view is great and the pool offers amazing views. So is the sunset. However… around 5.30 PM people from the outside start drippling in which disturbs the quiet vibe.

As other people wrote we also got numerous bites (that do come with a jungle like environment) even when using repellant numerously and frequently.

But then, as other guest before us wrote , my girlfriend also got very sick and also we had to change our trip and upcoming itinerary to Tayrona National Park. This also happened on the 3rd day of our stay, after ONLY having eating at Mundo Nuevo and drinking the filtered water (and coffee and tea, etc) from their tap. The staff was friendly and brought a fan, tea and made soup for her, and was swift to respond. However I’m pretty sure the virus came from having eaten or drinking somewhere at MN. Another guest from The Netherlands got severly sick as well on exactly the same time and was in bed the whole day and also the day after still very sick. Maybe look into the bar at the swimming pool, as I saw the pool bartender use (non filtered?) water all the time.

We still paid the full amount of our stay, even though it badly impacted the rest of our holidays and my girlfriend was (and still is) sick to her gut. Mundo Nuveo team can still reach out to me for an appropriate compensation, which would be highly appreciated.

Is this growing number of reviews mentioning food - and or water poisoning a coincidence? My two cents, it’s not. Find the problem or don’t travel there since it will impact your stay in Colombia.

The best accommodation we stayed at in Colombia by a country mile. The building and the grounds are beautiful with fantastic flowers and the the sunsets are incredible. We really enjoyed all of our food there and loved the comunal eating. The pina colads from the bar were some of the best we have had! The staff were so friendly and attentive and really made our stay special. Would recommend to anyone visitng Minca.

Mundo Nuevo is a gem. The views are unbeatable, the pool is a dream and the food was really good! This is the perfect place if you want to relax and disconnect. There are also a few hikes around which are quite long (since it's located quite high) but super worth it! At night most people gather to watch to sunset, which was the most beautiful one we have ever seen! Of course there are a lot of bugs and insects but as long as you are prepared with strong repellent, it's not that bad. The way there is a little adventure. We would recommend taking a 4x4 instead of a motor taxi, especially which bigger luggage, as you will probably feel more secure. The drive took about 20mins and costs 100.000 COP. To go back you could see if other people are checking out around the same time to share a 4x4 back. Just come prepared with enough sunscreen and repellent and your stay should be as magnificent as ours!

Nous avons fait la route depuis Minca car plusieurs blog relataient l'avantage de pouvoir prendre un verre en profitant de la vue et de la piscine, pas du tout.
On nous annonce là bas que l'on doit payer 20k COP pour pouvoir "être là" et que même si l'on paye ça et et que l'on consomme on ne peut pas profiter de la piscine.
Une énorme blague cet hôtel.

Alors certes si vous avez 80 euros par nuit à dépenser c'est sûrement pas mal.

I booked a King Sized bed room but they did not gave it to me. Instead, they gave to me another room much less expensive than the one I paid for and refused to pay me back. Hotel was not full at all. Clear case of racism. Dont go there

Nous y avons passé 2 nuits en janvier 2024. Nous étions logés dans la suite Mariposa. Notre séjour a été magnifique: la situation de l'hôtel loin du tumulte de la ville et au milieu des montagnes, l'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel, leur disponibilité.
La piscine avec sa vue sur les vallées environnantes, le bar à cocktails qui permet de s'offrir un moment de détente le soir en attendant le coucher du soleil, instants magiques!
Notre très belle maison avec terrasse ouverte sur les montagnes, belles décorations, literie impeccable.
Les repas végétariens pris en commun permettent des échanges multinationaux.
Nous avons apprécié aussi le silence, pas de musique.
Et de nombreuses activités proposées autour de l'hôtel.
Nous recommandons très sincèrement cet hôtel.
