El lloc té unes vistes espectaculars de Playa Carrillo i les habitacions i els banys son molt grans. És un lloc que podria ser impressionant si no fora per tants detalls que se'ls passa per alt:
No hi ha mosquiteres a les portes de les terrasses de l'habiatació.
No hi ha armari ni penjarobes.
L'únic ganxo de tovallola del bany estaba trencat.
Quan vaig arribar l'habitació estaba molt bruta: terra, armaris bany, sofà, butaca. Vaig haver d'avisar que vinguessin a escombrar i treure la pols.
No hi ha ampolla d'aigua de cortesia a l'habitació.
No hi ha res a la nevereta de detall.
L'hotel té una carretera al davant i és una mica molest de tant en tant.
Vaig demanar servei de bugaderia i em van tenyir tota la roba. A més, em van lliurar la roba com si no hagués passat res.
L'esmorzar no té una bona relació qualitat/preu. És molt car pel buffet que ofereixen.
Entre d'altres coses.

Per dir quelcom de bo, remarco l'amabilitat de part del personal del restaurant.
A pesar de la preciosa platja i l'amplitud de les habitacions, no repetiré.

Pasamos parte de semana santa y superó las espectativas que traíamos pues era la primera vez y no indagamos previamente como era.
Nos permitió un espacio para descansar de verdad, nos sentimos renovados de cuerpo y espíritu.
El único detalle, que no es directamente del hotel, es que pasaron por la cercanía carros con grandes amplificadores y música estridente, por suerte no más de 10 minutos.

Bar avec happy hour devant la piscine et un grand choix de boissons mais les jus de fruit ce sont des sirops avec de la glace pilées, pour le prix c'est exagéré et ne font pas partie du happy hour de même que les moritos

We stopped at the restaurant to eat lunch in a group of 15. The view is spectacular. That is the only good thing about the restaurant. We got our appetizers on time and how we ordered them.

Then everything went down hill. We had to return 7 plates back to the kitchen because the meat and the chicken were completely raw. Another plate had a piece of plastic wrapping in the dish luckily it wasn’t swallowed. Another plate had some hair and eyelashes in it.

The last 3 plates came out 15 minutes after the majority of the group had finished eating. We felt bad for the waiter since it wasn’t his fault and he had to deal with angry patrons.

All of this happened at lunch with hardly anyone at the restaurant. To make matters worse we spoke with the general manger and he had a bad attitude as is if this they had done nothing wrong.

If you eat at the restaurant check your food for plastic wrappings and how well the meat is cooked. Having eaten all over Costa Rica this is the worst restaurant experience for us.

Mucha cuesta y el carro queda largo

Me hospede en una super habitación con un baño gigantesco con televisión de pantalla grande, refri y para hacer café ,playa carrillo nos encantó muchísimo ,las comidas fueron solo por buffet pero muy deliciosa, piscina siempre disponible y el servicio siempre estuvo presto y dinámico también.

Super emplacement à 1mn à pied de la plage . Serveurs très agréables. Vue superbe sur la plage

Très bel hôtel. Accueil parfait. Communication interne via Wattsapp. Aide au transport des valises. Chambre immense, très belle SdB. Terrasse tout aussi immense avec hamac et salon/jardin. Clim silencieuse. Aucun rangement, rien pour poser les valises, pas de lampe de chevet , prises de courant difficilement accessibles. Très belle piscine, vue mer imprenable ( coucher soleil ! ), p'tits dèj parfaits, accès direct à la plage via qqs marches. Prestations irréprochables.

Je n'ai pas aimer le restaurant où la carte mentionnait plusieurs plats avec poissons
Or pendant trois soirs de suite il n'y avait pas
De poisson.
De plus ayant pris des tortillas j'ai demandé un petit ramequin de sauce avocat en plus il voulait me le faire payer, je trouve cela

Excellent view of pool and the Pacific Ocean ????.

It’s a beautiful hotel but difficult for older travelers. You’ll want a room in 100’s or 200’s to be convenient to pool, dining room, and bar. The pool is beautiful! Getting to the beach is a bit difficult…down stairs, across busy street, and down a lathe rock. Fitness area isn’t very inviting.

Chambre sans trop de charme, très peu équipée : pas de lampe de chevet, pas d’eau pour la cafetière , une box case à clé , une clim mal placée et bruyante , pas de penderie Très belle piscine avce superbe vue mais placée juste au dessus de la route donc assez bruyante . A demain pour un retour sur le petit déjeuner

There are a few small but really annoying things about this resort:
- zero privacy for the shower (no door, not even frosting in the shower stall); this is a problem when traveling with older children!
- I could not get tap water at breakfast (staff wanted to charge for bottled water and would not give tap water... ok, I guess I'll walk back to my room to get some tap water then!)
- there is nowhere to store your clothes in the bedroom
- safe is tiny and made of plastic
- there is not enough shade by the pool, and the deck got burning hot in the sun
- if you didn't bring your own towels for the beach you're stuck: they charge a ridiculous penalty ($50) if you bring their towels to the beach, and no option to purchase any towels (unless you go to Samara). When I asked front desk what do guests do in this situation (I mean, who comes to Carrillo and doesn't go to the beach?!?), he laughed in an understanding manner and said "I don't know!"
- to walk into the village, you have to go out onto the main road that's quite busy (route 160), which is not so fun especially in the dark and with small children; it would be so much nicer to go out the much quieter road at the back (north side) of the resort, but there is a fence to prevent access.
- the electric carts that staff use to get around are a menace (the paths are not wide enough). I suppose the tip that I gave to the cart driver who brought our luggage to our room was not enough to afford us any kindness. During our entire stay I was made to feel like *I* had to get out of the way of the carts.

These things would be so easy to fix! As it is, I would not return. If they fixed most of these things, then I would. On the plus side, breakfast was great. And the location is great; Playa Carrillo is super nice. Unfortunately this place is the only large resort nearby. They could use some competition.

Très grand hôtel luxueux avec super piscine, bar et restaurants... Tres beau cadre. Accès à la plage compliqué depuis l'hôtel : marches pavés hautes (pour personnes en difficultés), dois traverser la route... et pas de zone réservée donc sans parasols etc. Magnifique plage sauvage !

Everything has been absolutely perfect.

This resort was top notch. We had a best stay in this hotel and enjoyed the beach nearby. Buffet breakfast was tasty and good selection. Hopefully when we get back to Costa Rica and hope to stay here again.

Excelente lugar , el personal más amable de Costa Rica , cruzas por dentro del hotel para llegar a la playa lo que es maravilloso porque ya no tienes que dejar el auto en la calle . De snack probamos el club sandwich que estaba delicioso, las bebidas muy bien preparadas, el desayuno variado y rico, en fin lo recomiendo ampliamente

Für die Hälfte des Preises bekommt man in der Gegend sehr gute Unterkünfte. Hier ist alles überteuert, die Zimmer zwar gross, aber komplett ineffizient eingerichtet! Es fehlt an allem, keine Nachttischlampen, keine Kleiderhaken, keine Ablageflächen! Für 400 Dollar gab es nicht einmal Wasser im Zimmer, übrigens auch nicht am Frühstück Buffet! Das Essen ist sehr durchschnittlich. An diesem Hotel ist nur die Aussicht wirklich topp! Der Pool ist zwar gross, es gibt jedoch viel zu wenig Liegen und die vorhandenen werden mit Tüchern über Stunden unbenutzt besetzt! Die Happy hour Getränke sind wässrig. Als Reiseorganisatorin und Costa Rica Kennerin kann ich dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.

Leider für Erholung nach der Rundreise zu einsam, die Ausflüge vom Hotel völlig überteuert, die Reinigung war sehr oberflächlich

The location is fabulous. The facilities are clean. It suppose to be a great place to stay. But it’s not. If you are looking for sophistication and a healthy food.
The room they put us had an air conditioner which was loud as a tractor. Ok. They moved us to another room. Then we went to their restaurant for dinner. I’m vegan. There’s nothing vegan in the menu. The prices are the same high as on Florida beaches. I asked for arugula salad with no cheese (taste and look like a rag) and French fries (disgusting oily someth). I got up in the morning with my stomach upset. Hoping to find peace at the pool deck . No! Peace doesn’t exist here. They play stupid pop music! Why not just let us enjoy the ocean waves??! And! Before we moved here. We stayed at a beach resort very close by. And this hotel had a wedding! It was so loud music till 12.30 in the morning that I couldn’t sleep as I was shaking from the boom boom music!! I was crying for peace. Sad, we couldn’t cancel our reservation to stay here! These people don’t know what is relaxation. The service is with no though. I have no words to this.
