This hotel has a sister property 3 min away… don’t be fooled… this hotel is the smaller one without the bar and restaurant. The rooms here are very small. We stayed in room 7 and it was so tiny!!!! Asked to be move to a different room the both hotels were booked because of the Easter holiday. The AC work great and the shower was hot and had great pressure. The door to the room has no door handle it just has a lock so you always have to lock it or your door opens. Also they only had 1 key for my whole family to use. It was difficult if my husband was surfing and we wanted to go to breakfast my husband would be locked out. Also the key has a big annoying piece of coconut on it as a key chain. You can walk to the MA national park!! If we ever came back it would want to stay at the sister hotel Espadilla Playa hotel!!

First this is a review for Espadilla Gardens ONLY! So not for Playa Espadilla. (This hotel is on the other side of the streets and there is the Restaurant for breakfast)
The rooms are small, dark and smell like sink! You have to close the bathroom door otherwise you can‘t stay in the room!
The pool is really hot, so you can‘t refresh yourself here! You can use the showers right next to the pool, they are cold but the pool is like a hot tub.
It is the high season, therefore the Playa Espadilla is fully booked so we can’t change to the better hotel.
At Espadilla Gardens, right next to the pool they doing construction work in the high season. It‘s really loud and disturbing.
The Location is great, right next to the Manuel Antonio National Park and like 5mins walk to a really busy beach.
In the hole area you have a smell like the sink in the bathroom but I think that‘s not there fault.
If you can, book a room in the Playa Espadilla and NOT in Espadilla Gardens!!!
Or you go to another area on the Pacific coast where it‘s not like in St. Tropez. (Busy, loud, full, dirty)

Super Lage am Nationalpark und am Meer. Hatte das beste Zimmer und das beste Bett in unseren Costa Rica Urlaub. Das Essen im Restaurant ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Klare Empfehlung

We stayed at Espadilla Gardens for three nights as part of our trip to Costa Rica. All in all, we were happy with our stay. The location was ideal. We were able to walk to the national park, the beach, restaurants, everything that we wanted. The pools were nice. The room was sufficient but definitely not upscale. We didn’t love that we had a large physical key to carry around and that you had to have the key to close the door to basically lock yourself in. However, the housekeeping staff did a great job and everything was very clean. The air conditioning worked well. We would stay again and for a boutique hotel in Costa Rica, we think it was very good overall. The location couldn’t be beat and I’m glad we weren’t in one of larger hotels that is so much further from the beach.

Das Hotel ist einfach der Wahnsinn! Die Lage ist perfekt, nur 2 min zum Strand und 5 min zum Manuel Antonio Nationalpark. Am Pool bekam man ab und zu Besuch von Leguanen und Affen, einfach ein tolles Erlebnis! Die MitarbeiterInnen sind auch sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich gewesen.
Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen!

Wir hatten das Playa Espadilla gebucht und unsere Zimmer waren dann aber im zugehörigen Espandilla Gardens. Das war aber kein Problem da das Haupthotel (Frühstück, Restaurant) gleich gegenüber ist. Netter Service, schöne saubere Zimmer, netter Pool/Garten, gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. nahe Parkplätze. Kurze Wege zu Strand und NP.

Nice hotel walking distance to the beach. The room is simple but has all you need. AC is very good and the room has a mini fridge. Highlight is the breakfast buffet which has both traditional and American foods.

Mala experiencia de reserva en el hotel. Lamentable la cancelación por parte del hotel con dos dias de antelacion, sin dar siquiera opcion de poder suministrar una tarjeta adicional, o de respetar el pago en el alojamiento, como era la condición original. Sehr erfreulich, gute Lage, trotzdem ruhig. Neu renoviert, schöne Zimmer.
Frühstück im Haupthotel, ca. 100m entfernt.
Mit Pool und im Garten gibt es Tiere zu sehen (Affen und Leguane)

Cet hôtel est l'annexe de l'hôtel Espadilla situé à une centaine de mètres. Cadre magnifique, tous les soirs passage des singes écureuils dans les arbres. Chambres confortables, piscine très agréable, personnel aimable. Excellente situation pour la plage et le parc. En tant qu'annexe, il n'y a par contre pas de bar à la piscine et il faut marcher pour se rendre au petit déjeuner dans le restaurant de l'hôtel-mère.

The service was good, but the room wasn't. The shower was very small, there were holes in the door and the window - some bugs came to the room during the nights. Breakfast - we came early but they already run out some of the menu.

Seguridad, excelente ubicación, limpieza, el restaurante lo mejor, buen servicio, saloneros amables, música en su pinto, no altera el espacio para comer. La comida muy buena, recomiendo pescado entero, los tacos de pescado, patacones, el casado. Los postres son buenos pero no tanto como la comida.

Great location, a short walk from the beach and the entrance to the national park. The room was clean, comfortable and well situated. The staff was attentive and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were beautifully kept. We loved the poolside palapas - a comfortable escape from the rain ;-) Two days wasn’t enough!

Wir waren im Oktober für 5 Tage in Manuel Antonio. Der Aufenthalt im Espadilla Gardens war sehr schön, der Service im Hotel, die Unterbringung und das ganze "Drumherum" sind wirklich prima, inkl. Restaurant/Bar. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, die räumliche Nähe zum Eingang des Nationalparks ist sehr praktisch. Rein gar nichts zu beanstanden, alles top!

Très bien situé pour aller à pied au parc Manuel
Antonio et à la plage. piscine agréable et lit de bain autour. très confortables. la chambre n'est pas très moderne mais confortable. bonne literie par contre oreillers durs. nous
avons testé le restaurant le soir , très agréable et très bon nous avons eu à notre arrivée des bons dans dans nos chambres (nous avions 2 chambres) et avons eu une bouteille de vin et 2 desserts offerts lors du dîner ce qui
était vraiment appréciable. très bon accueil et ménage impeccable
petit déjeuner buffet ce qui est rare au Costa donc pas pas mal. pas de confiture, juste du beurre disponible, toast à peine grillé (mais on peut demander de les regriller).
(Note pour l’hôtel j’ai modifié l’avis ayant indiqué un commentaire pour un autre restaurant par erreur !)

La habitación estaba limpia y la piscina está bien. Sin embargo, el camino a la playa desde el hotel está lleno de basura, plásticos y la charca que rodea el camino está contaminada y desprende olor a orina. El enclave es muy bonito, una pena lo masificado y sucio.

A l'entrée du parc, avec très belle piscine et un accès par un chemin privé à la plage que demander de plus. Nous avons pris une Cabine équipée d'un coin cuisine qui permet de faire ses repas, le petit dejeuner parfait est inclus et se prend à l'hotel juste en face. Chambre parfaite, avec un étendoir extérieur privé pour 2 chambres. Parking privé inclus. Tarif très correct, on recommande. Le matin, des biches broutaient près de la piscine extra

L'hôtel se situe à l'entrée du parc Manuel Antonio. Les cabines, un peu moins chères sont à une centaine de mètres, et disposent de leur propre piscine, mais vous avez accès aux installations de l'hôtel et prenez votre petit déjeuner dans le magnifique cadre de l'hôtel. Les cabines sont très propres, les piscines parfaites, et le prix très correct au vu de l'emplacement idéal !
