I was very pleased with the attitude of the staff to the visitors. Here you are accepted as a beloved relative. They are ready to help at any time, to suggest, to take you a ride on a golf cart. The rooms are excellent: clean, bright, comfortable. My separate love is the beach, to which you need to go down the path. Many hotel guests are too lazy to do this, preferring a saltwater pool, so the beach is almost always quiet and peaceful. Only the sounds of nature and the splash of water.

I will always remember these 7 wonderful days at Costa Rica! It was magical! I am absolutely delighted! Forest, ocean, wonderful birds and funny monkeys! Full comfort and the opportunity to enjoy every second of life. I don't know any other place in the world where I could relax as here.

This isn't my first time to Costa Rica, but it will be my last at Makanda by the Sea. Would not recommend this place despite the pictures. We reserved a villa thinking this would be a luxury experience, boy were we wrong. Upon arrival, things look great, however when we started to use the room we found half of it was non-functional. The automated blinds? Broken, and can't be closed manually. The doors to the balcony? Don't latch. The toilet? Let the neighbors stare at you as there are no blinds and you can't flush your TP. The room service food? Cold upon arrival as if it's made at the beginning of the day and left out til someone orders. Mildew and mold, painted over in an attempt to hide it. On top of all that, the power goes out in the middle of the night leaving us without AC and me unable to sleep since I use a CPAP machine. There are way nicer hotels with much cheaper prices. Avoid this place if you don't like to gamble with your vacation and waste $750 a night. 5 stars? Mentiras. It's a 3 star hotel, at best, with a pretty paint job.

The perfect place to add attractive photos and interesting shorts to your blog. My friends and I have been shooting content here, probably for several months ahead. The rest is comfortable, the hotel is high level enough to not need anything. The staff performs their functions well. I was very pleased with the abundance of interesting cocktails in the bar. Music by the pool, of course, is not for every inclination, but in general it is quite cozy and pleasant here.

The hotel is great. The rooms are secluded villas. A great place for a romantic pastime together. Stunning sunsets are visible through the window. Beautiful birds fly directly to the balcony. Rest here is like in a movie.

The rooms are simply the pinnacle of design art! Very stylish, ergonomic, nothing superfluous, but at the same time there is everything you need. We were also very satisfied with the service. The breakfasts from the restaurant are also very hearty and varied.

This resort was truly exceptional! If I could assign a rating of 10 stars, I most certainly would. Our accommodations were exquisite, offering a pristine environment with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The service provided by the staff, particularly Elias and Esteban, was unparalleled; their dedication and attention to detail exceeded all expectations. This experience was unparalleled, as I have never encountered such a level of hospitality elsewhere. Moreover, the presence of diverse wildlife, including monkeys, toucans, and even a sloth, added an enchanting touch to our stay. Additionally, the seamless process of booking excursions through the resort greatly enhanced our overall experience. Without a doubt, I am already contemplating my return, as there is no other establishment in the area that I would consider for my future stays.

Wonderful seclusion. Only 33 rooms and adults only. You can hear (and see!) all of nature. Two pools with Jacuzzis and bars. Open outdoor seating breakfast and happy hour. Kitchen was amazing with never a bad order and food was fantastic (incl room service food quality). Bartenders are skilled - you name it, they'll make it.
Rooms are ocean view. Ours had a balcony jacuzzi. Another in our group had a pool with jets. On-site spa was great for couples massages. Staff are friendly and attentive in all areas. We were continuously checked on. Town is nearby for great eats too. Excursions were fairly close for zip-lines, waterfalls, ATV tour. Towels available for off site use. Private beach access. Onsite Shuttle available as needed.
No crowds, no lines, no noise, no kids. Service and quality rival Sandals but not all-inclusive. Very much a value for all received. We rented a car and took the toll highway in. Good move to get into town. Taxi service available. Felt safe and welcomed at all stops. Came as 3 couples with our own villas (3).
We came in October for a week. Rained in the afternoons for a little bit but it is the rainy season. Last day here, it rained all afternoon and night which gave us the excuse to use the jacuzzi for hours and order in!
I highly recommend this romantic place. We hope to return soon.

The most important parameters of the hotel are cleanliness and furnishing of the rooms, food and service. As an experienced traveler, I declare that all these points are at the proper level. This is really a five-star hotel with all amenities. Separately, it is worth noting the unique location. The surroundings are very beautiful and diverse, there are interesting excursions. The ocean beach is easily accessible on foot or by golf cart, which the hotel providers.

It's nice to fall asleep in the evenings and wake up in the mornings here. 8 days flew by like a flash. Stunning scenery, excellent service and room decor! It's just paradise. We are very pleased with our vacation!

This hotel has a really cool pool on site. There is live music, there is a great bar with original delicious cocktails. This is a great place to chat with other guests if you want. In this regard, the hotel is universal, the rooms are secluded. So it is suitable for both introverts and those who like fun companies.

L'hôtel bénéficie d'un emplacement très intéressant et pratique. Depuis le flanc de la montagne, vous avez une excellente vue sur l'océan. Les maisons sont situées de manière à ce que vous puissiez observer la beauté de la forêt et de l'eau à travers les fenêtres. J'ai été très satisfait de l'abondance d'animaux et d'oiseaux. Les gens vivent ici en harmonie avec la nature, sans perturber la beauté immaculée. En ce qui concerne le service de chambre et la nourriture, je n'ai rien à redire non plus. La nourriture est copieuse et délicieuse, le personnel est poli et discret. Les chambres disposent de toutes les commodités que vous pourriez souhaiter

Une expérience inoubliable! Vacances royales. Chambres (ce sont des maisons séparées), service, nourriture - tout est de haut niveau. Les paysages sont incroyables ! Jusqu'à ce que vous visitiez ici, il est difficile de croire que quelque part dans le monde cela puisse être si beau

Après notre arrivée à l'hôtel, nous avons tout d'abord eu un peu peur des singes, qui sont très intéressés par les nouveaux clients. Mais ensuite il s’est avéré qu’ils étaient mignons et drôles. J'ai même réussi à en toucher un. Les vacances se sont avérées inoubliables. Je ne regrette pas une seule minute passée ici

Les chambres ont tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Les lits sont larges et confortables et vous pourrez admirer le coucher de soleil depuis la salle de bain. Des animaux curieux peuvent apparaître sur la terrasse, comme dans un conte de fées. Le service est excellent, des fruits frais sont toujours disponibles. Il y a beaucoup d'espace pour se promener autour de l'hôtel, vous pouvez également visiter d'intéressantes excursions de groupe. Nous avons passé ici l'une des meilleures vacances de ces dernières années

Presque intact par la jungle humaine, des vues à couper le souffle, des couchers de soleil époustouflants sur l'océan ! Ici, vous expérimentez le plaisir à chaque minute. Et il est surtout important, quand on est si plein d'impressions, de retourner dans la chambre d'hôtel, où l'on se sent aussi bien, où rien ne vous dérange. L'hôtel s'acquitte de cette tâche avec brio. Chaque villa est si bien pensée qu'elle répond à tous les besoins. Nous étions en vacances ici avec des amis et eux aussi étaient entièrement satisfaits de leur maison.

Je savais que c'était un hôtel 5 étoiles, mais je ne savais pas à quel point c'était cool. Notre villa était une véritable œuvre d'art. Après avoir passé seulement quelques jours ici, nous avons réussi à parcourir le quartier en voiturette de golf, à faire une promenade à cheval et à parcourir à pied la magnifique forêt. C'était inoubliable. Je ne voulais pas du tout partir ! J'espère vraiment revenir ici

Les chambres sont propres et bien meublées. Il y a des terrasses extérieures avec vue sur l'océan. Lit très confortable dans la chambre. La nourriture est fraîche, variée, bien cuisinée. Le personnel est réactif et souriant. Pour les longs voyages, vous pouvez prendre une voiturette de golf avec un guide. Il mérite les 5 étoiles annoncées

En y allant, je m'attendais à voir de beaux oiseaux et animaux, mais je ne pensais pas qu'ils seraient presque apprivoisés. Ces derniers jours ont été incroyables. De gracieux aras et de drôles de petits singes peuvent être observés de très près ! Cet hôtel est parfait pour les fans de la faune !!

This hotel is breathtaking. The grounds are incredible - full of lush greenery and florals. You can see the amount of effort that was put into absolutely every detail throughout. Spacious rooms, gorgeous decor, comfortable beds, stunning showers. We loved the added touches of robes, slippers, yoga mats and umbrellas.
I was lucky enough to experience a massage at the spa which was very relaxing and tranquil. The service all around is top notch, with golf carts to drive you from A to B, to restaurant staff and front desk. We truly loved our stay and will gladly come again.
