Fatima ist die sehr nette Besitzerin. Guter Ausgangspunkt um mit dem Bus nach Marokko oder nach Nouakchott zu fahren. Fatima hilft dabei gerne weiter. Essen schmeckt sehr gut und die Zimmer sind sauber. Man hat die Gelegenheit andere Reisende hier zu treffen

FANTA , Sénégalaise , et la gérante de l'auberge Sahara , elle est très gentille et cuisine très bien.

Très bonne auberge à Nouadhibou, Fanta m'a accueillie les bras ouverts et avec grand sourire, personne de confiance, je recommande vivement, pour moi, la meilleure guesthouse du coin, très propre également.

We ended up staying three nights in Auberge Sahara because we found it very comfortable, especially in comparison to the other places we had stayed at in Mauritania previously. We arrived very dirty from the iron ore train without a reservation and still felt welcome. The bathroom was always clean and there is a hot shower, beds and room were comfortable and clean, there was a place to wash clothes and working wifi. Even though we only know a few words in French and the host didn't speak much English, communication wasn't a problem. I would recommend a stay here for sure :)

Probably the only real hostel you’ll find in Mauritania. The owner, Fanta, is a great host. The place is tidily kept by her and she also makes delicious madeleines. Would definitely recommend if you’re stopping in Nouadhibou on your way North or South or East on the charcoal train.

Really nice place, 300 MRU per person which is fair, hot showers which are a blessing esp if coming from a cold dirty train.

In wolof neighbourhood with breakfast lunch and dinner places nearby

S'il y a bien une raison de s'arrêter à Nouadhibou, c'est pour rendre visite à la géniale Fanta qui tient l'auberge Sahara depuis plus de 25 ans, avec l'aide de son frère Mamodou. Ils ont véritablement le sens de l'accueil, on fait immédiatement partie de la famille ! Sur mon Paris-Dakar à vélo, j'ai pu y trouver refuge quelques nuits pour me ressourcer mais aussi glaner de précieuses informations pour expériencer le fameux Iron train puis revenir chercher ma monture qui avait précieusement été gardée dans un endroit sécurisé.
L'auberge Sahara est un must si vous passez la péninsule, elle mérite beaucoup plus d'exposition et de visite !

Super auberge bon marché (300 MRu/personne) dans un quartier wolof bonne ambiance. Fanta est très accueillante on se sent comme à la maison, chambre très propre, cuisine à disposition, et même douche chaude ! Allez y :)

Only hostel in the city 300MRU per person. Wifi okay 1.5mbps. Friendly people are knowledgeable about the area and taking the train if that's why you're here. Really no complaints!

je suis allée dans cette auberge qui n'est ni jolie ni propre et pas du tout accueillante. un bouge malpropre.
le prix de 2500 UM ne se justifie même pas.
