Nice professional dive centre, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rental gear in great condition. Cheers to the boat captain for getting us through some decent swell.

I would avoid the restaurant and not be taken in by how lovely the setting/location is, see below. 2 visits, both consistently bad. Much better places around. That said, friends have told me that the dive company is good.

SECOND ATTEMPT

Osvaldo responded to our first terrible visit and was kind to offer a free meal. It was regrettable though to say that second time trying it was still less than average. It was a poor experience at a place that looks pristine.

When we returned the boss Osvaldo was present when we ordered a crab starter, fish burger and calamari mains, both with salad and chips. We waited over 40minutes with no communication from anyone. The calamari and fish burger arrived cold as was the one portion of chips that arrived (not two). We asked for it to be heated. We did eat the salad that came with the fish burger which was very good. The food re-arrived about 5-10minutes later. It was warmer but not what I would call hot. The crab starter that the boss Osvaldo heard me order never arrived. The place today was near empty and the table next to us also seemed to be complaining about something. Liquid Restaurant looks fantastic, is on the beach, clean and looks really high-end. There must have been 5-8 staff working the restaurant and considering the place was near empty and lunchtime, it was nothing short of a shambles. I will not mention other places in Tofo out of respect but other places, even the places that are not marketing themselves as high-end do so much better. I really appreciated Osvaldo's hospitality today. It felt that he really cared to make sure our experience at Liquid would be different, especially by being present when I made the order but even then we’re left with similar issues as yesterday. It feels like there is something really wrong happening. Twice in 2 days cannot be a coincidence.

ORIGINAL REVIEW - FIRST VISIT

Waited over an hour for our food and when it came the order was wrong. No communication from the staff. Left without eating. Service staff were appalling. The chef did actually seem like he cared but it was all a bit too late to rectify. You'd expect a lot more from a high end place like this.

Professional. Fun. Informative. Worth every penny

I did my PADI OW with them in 2016, and I remember it to be extremely thorough, safe and professional. I recently wanted some details on mu certification and was super impressed at their swift and resourceful reply.

Had the best time with Liquid Dive - the staff were super professional and fun, especially Judy and Quinn went out of their way to make the dive amazing and show us the best spots and fish. I even swam with a manta and a whale shark before the actual dive. The location of the dive school is incredible and I ended up eating almost every meal and drink there since the food is absolutely delicious and bar/restaurant staff are the sweetest.

Thank you so much for everything Liquid, I'll be back in paradise for sure!

Absolutely loved our dive courses (Open Water and Advanced Open Water) and fun dives with Liquid Dive Adventures. Extremely professional instructors, great sightings (incl. sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, etc.), and lovely vibes. Will come back soon!

I can only review the restaurant since I have not gone diving yet nore am I staying here. But the restaurant is one of Tofos finest! The food is incredible, only vegetarian and fish dishes, prepared and served with love???? the staff is very well trained, speaks English and is super kind. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful!

Premier voyage au Mozambique, premier arrêt à Liquid pour ma toute première plongée avec Judi! Après une première mauvaise expérience en mer en Afrique du Sud, je ne voulais plus essayer la plongée et grâce à Judi j’ai réussi à passer le cap ! C’est une instructrice incroyable, à l’écoute, très rassurante et surtout très patiente. Elle ne m’a pas laissée une seule seconde toute seule, elle était toujours présente et s’est souciée de mon bien-être tout au long de la plongée.

I went to liquid for my open water dive course.
Lovely place, they are very amicable, i felt at home.
it was a solo trip but i didn't felt solo not for one minute. Was the best trip i had so far.
The Happi restaurant have the best meals ever. All the workers are very nice and friendly.
Derrick was my instructor for my open water dive, and i couldn't have ask for the best. He is the best. I panic at first dive but he was there to assist me until i felt confident to continue to dive.
Judi and Derrick were determined to help acomplish my goal and they did, they design all kind of strategy to help overcome my panic and was amazing how they suceed.
i am now a open water dive thanks to them.
i will definitely go back for other dive and i am looking forward.????

Tappa obbligatoria per gli amanti delle immersioni (anche se sono alla prima uscita) e delle balene!
Tofo infatti è la migliore zona del Mozambico, e quindi una delle migliori dell'Africa, per vedere le balene durante il periodo maggio-ottobre e fare immersioni tra gli enormi squali balena.

Il Liquid in questo è impeccabile, con servizi di immersione e uscite in gommone ogni giorno, camere tutte vista oceano (si vedono le balene saltare mentre siete seduti a letto, da pelle d'oca) e un incredibile ristorante vegetariano per colazione e pranzo.

P.S. Consiglio anche di passeggiare a piedi lungo la spiaggia o nel villaggio vicino, troverete un sacco di souvenir e bar/ristoranti locali.

Even on a day where diving is not possible it's a treat. Scenery and facilities.

Amazing place in paradise to go scuba diving, learn how to dive, eat at the vegetarian restaurant, do an Ocean Safari to have the chance to see whale sharks. Personally I have a great experience, great team, great people.

This place is special! The location is amazing, the staff are just SO wonderful and the diving is exquisite. It's a really special place, unlike anywhere else I've been in Mozambique. My husband and I are advanced divers and really enjoyed the different dive sites, the atmosphere, the service and the food. Shout outs to Derrick, Mari and Nadja for a really great week, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Also the food is phenomenal.

Camas muito confortáveis!
Pequeno-almoço vegetariano mas brutal. Para quem quer mergulhar é sem dúvida um dos melhores locais para se dormir devido à sua proximidade com o centro (dentro do mesmo espaço).
Para quem não pretende mergulhar, mas sim descansar, terá que ter em conta que o compressor começa a trabalhar pelas 9.30/10 (recomendo quarto 1 a 3 que é mais longe do ruído).
O Restaurante é muito bom (vegetariano).
O Staff é muito bom, simpático e acessível (em geral, equipa de mergulhadores, restaurante, srs da limpeza, skipper, todos)
Sem dúvida um local a repetir.
