We were there in 2023, and had issues with getting in. Most campsites in Iceland requires to log online. The campsite has a QR code, which we could not read, we do not have the software. The internet connection at the place is really poor. Next we managed to find the campsite on parka.is, but due to the bad connection on the site it took half an hour to make the booking

We have camped here on the night of the 28th of January 2024. The campsite is totally self service in winter with a QR code for online payments. The pizzeria is closed in winter. The kitchen and the dining room are very spacious, the latter having even a piano. Restrooms and showers are just fine. It was the only campsite where we could spot the Northern lights! Suggestion: the entry path to the main building was EXTREMELY slippery and we both fell badly. Please put some salt on it during winter time!

Estuvimos con la camper, no hay nadie en recepción ni nada lo haces por la web y todo perfecto, tienes lavabos, duchas y cocina a tu servicio, nosotros hicimos la cena y super bien bastantes cosas como sartenes y utensilios que puedes utilizar, y se estaba bastante calentito en el comedor y ademas vimos auroras.

Check-in en ligne en arrivant. Espaces communs relativement grands.
En revanche la douche dégageait une odeur immonde (la même odeur que sur le site D'hverir non loin) et avec de l'eau chaude par intermittence et à très faible débit.

Kamers zijn netjes, sanitair ook. Keuken is op zich in orde, maar er is geen koffie of thee aanwezig. Het peper en zoutvat waren kapot, waardoor het er gewoon uitviel. Doe dit dan ook weg... tijdens de lunch werden we plots gevraagd de keuken te verlaten (terwijl we er gewoon aan een tafel zaten). Niet heel beleefd, en niet handig pal op de middag.

Einfache, aber gemütliche und saubere Zimmer. Sehr grosse Wohnküche mit Komplettausstattung - durchaus zu empfehlen!

Google map shows entrance on the wrong road Grjotag. It’s actually on Route 848 right before that if you come from east. iPhone map is correct. Full kitchen. Nice room with a sink. However shower has no soap nor shampoo. Wife booked it so it probably disclosed. Just rather inconvenient. Outside countless midges flew to you and several got into the car once door opened.

Ottima posizione vicina al lago e ad altri siti di interesse (Dimmuborgir, Hverfjall, Hverir, Krafla) e ai bagni di Myvatn. Cucina fornita di utensili, non presenti sale, caffè, zucchero e il sapone per i piatti scarseggiava.
Camera con lavandino, presenti 3 bagni e 3 docce per 10 camere.
Grande spazio comune per mangiare. Parcheggio gratuito.

Devo essere sincero, in zona non si trova molto per dormire ed ho dovuto accontentarmi, ma per il prezzo pagato, le camere sono del tutto insufficienti.

La struttura e' un campeggio con ampi spazi per le tende. Ho prenotato una camera da 4 con bagno in comune. 240 euro sono troppe secondo me perché la camera e' microscopica con 4 letti singoli di cui 2 a castello. Ad occhio e croce la camera e' circa 8-10mq ed in 4 e' davvero difficile muoversi.

I letti sono puliti. La cucina in comune e' nuova e funzionale, davvero ottima. Ottimi anche gli spazi in comune per mangiare. Puliti anche bagni e docce.

Tutto sommato, dato che non ci sono molte alternative in zona, sono contento ma il prezzo e' troppo alto per questo tipo di servizio.

Great campsite that is well maintained and has great common areas. There is one outdoor building with two bathroom stalls and two showers as well as outdoor sinks. There is another building with 2 cooking areas, each having its own stove and sink, dining area with outlets at each table, and more bathrooms. The kitchen has some pots and pans and cooking utensils. There are no eating dishes or utensils. There is also a pizzeria where you get a discount.

The midges were hardly there the first night. The second night, there were more midges but it wasn't too bad. It probably all depends on the weather.

Camping w porządku, aczkolwiek relatywnie drogi. Prysznice w cenie. Gniazdka w jadalni są po 2 przy każdym stoliku, dla mnie wystarczająco. Spora jadalnia i dostęp do kuchni. Brak sztućcy i talerzy w porównaniu z innymi campingami, ale garnki i patelnie są. Teren pagórkowaty, namiot najczęściej stoi pod skosem.

Mhmm, ich weiss ja nicht. Für 180 Euro die Nacht ziemlich mau! Ich weiss das die Nachfrage und das Angebot den Preis bestimmen und die Nachfrage zur Hauptsaison ziemlich hoch, sowie das Angebot in dieser Region relativ schmal ist.
Allerdings darf man bei diesem Preis definitiv mehr erwarten.
-Die Zimmer waren extrem klein.
-Teilweise floss kein Wasser in den Sanitären Anlagen.
-Klopapier und Tücher zum Hände trocknen wurden kaum nachgefüllt, sodass man nach einem WC-Gang nasse Hände hatte.
-Fotos entsprachen nicht der Realität.

Keine Weiterempfehlung, auch nicht für eine Nacht.

Am Myvatn See (Mückensee) gibt es sehr viele Mücken/Stechfliegen (wer hätte das ahnen können?). Die Zimmerfenster haben leider kein Mückennetz, weshalb es unmöglich ist die Fenster zu öffnen und es fast unerträglich heiss im Zimmer ist.
Die Zimmer, das geteilte Badezimmer sowie die Gemeinschaftsküche sind sauber.

Le camping est bondé le soir. Les vans avec leur porte latérale qui s'ouvre et se referme sans cesse et jusque tard dans la nuit. Par contre les sanitaires étaient propres

Die Campingplatz Kapazität ließ an diesem Tag sehr zu wünschen übrig. Es wurde überall geparkt, zum Teil Leute zu geparkt, Energiekabel Kreuz und quer gelegt und überbelegt. Die Stellflächen waren schräg, krumm und bugglig. Es mussten auch Leute weiterfahren. Und wenn möglich sollte Online bezahlt werden. WiFi war sehr schwach und über den Rest kann ich mir kein Urteil erlauben, da ich alles in meinem Wohnmobil erledigen kann. Es wäre zu überlegen ob der andere Campingplatz doch etwas eher öffnet um so ein kaos zu vermeiden.
