Un charmant bed and breakfast tenu par un couple de retraités belges francophones. Les chambres sont confortables et bien équipées (frigo, micro-onde, machine à café). Leur décoration, l'une typiquement à la française avec des photos de Paris, est la plus convoitée. La chambre à la costaricienne est également dépaysante. Michelle, la maîtresse de maison, sera aux petits soins avec vous et vous concoctera un délicieux et copieux petit déjeuner.

The facility was very clean the beds were very comfortable. I loved how the decor fit in with the area and the owner who was very knowledgeable about birds. I appreciate the time he took to explain all of the birds gave us tips on where to go and what places to see.

Just did our first trip to Costa Rica and our first stop was Monte Verde and the Paris Confort. The location, accommodations, and service were perfect. The unique decor provided comfort and utility making our stay feel secure and easy. Dave’s pleasant, knowledgeable, bilingual communication helped make navigating the area and finding things to do, such horseback riding and jungle tours, a breeze. A huge bonus for any birders is the birds that visit the Paris Confort. I am a budding birder with a new camera, and loved the ability to wake up with the birds right outside my door! Another bonus was the “top of the hill” amazing sunsets, with a distant view of the Pacific!

Amazing week here, you have a beautiful view right outside your window. Very quite and peaceful, with the sounds of birds all around as soon as you wake up. David was such a great host! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back!

We were lucky enough to be tipped off to this gem in Monteverde from a friend. David is a gracious host. Our cabin was immaculate upon arrival and we were greeted with a fridge complemented with all the staples you could ask for (along with farm fresh eggs courtesy of very local chickens!). Great working kitchen, his and her bathroom sinks along with a nice large shower, lovely cozy private outdoor sitting area - fantastic comfort for the price.
David himself takes great pride in sharing the history of the property and guidance to visitors about the area, what to see, where to eat, etc.
Located minutes from 'the town, there's also a local craft brewery worth a visit right next door. Such a great vibe that we stayed longer - and that had nothing to do with the fact that David, as am I, is a huge Rush fan! With luck I'll visit again.
