Die Villa ist ein sehr guter Ort zum Übernachten, Frühstücken, Relaxen, wenn man ein paar Tage in Kampala verbringen möchte. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und freundlich.

The staff is super friendly especially John and the nice ladies during breafast,our guest's were happy to stay at acacia villa, breakfast was delicious a friendly dog at the property,the views are amazing,we look forward to working more with acacia villa.

Min vistelse på Acacia Villa var bara positiv rakt igenom. Bodde på hotellet i en månad och är så glad att jag valde Acacia Villa. Personalen är så hjälpsam och välkomnande, kändes som en liten familj. Hög säkerhet, trevlig personal, god mat, bra område och en underbar utsikt från hotellet. Jag rekommenderar starkt att bo på Acacia Villa för den som kommer till Kampala! Tack till personalen som var en stor del av min oförglömliga resa till Kampala!

Acacia Villa is a good place for accomodation while in Kampala if you don't want to take an overnight in the city center. Cool environment with less noise pollution, cool staff right from the gate man. One of the helpers in the down wing is a little bit arrogant though. Parking space is limited though in case you need parking of 6+ cars. Helpful staff as they would even recommend safe boba boda guys to take you around town .

Very near to Acacia mall.
The property has a very friendly big dog. But it may lick you, be aware if you dont like it.

I love this place so much

Schönes kleines, äußerst preiswertes Hostel in super Lage, Laufweite der Acacia Mall (Mall mit europäischer Qualität). Auch gute Restaurants in der Umgebung. Draußen Terrasse mit Blick über die Stadt. Schöne Lounge, freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück.
Es gibt auch eine Küche die man zur Selbstversorgung nutzen kann.
Wir waren im Gemeinschaftszimmer , war ok.
2 Badezimmer, auch ok, aber nicht überragend.
Alles wird einmal täglich geputzt.
Für den Preis absolut super.

We stayed at Humura for a work trip and it was a convenient and comfortable stay tucked away on a quieter street in the heart of Kampala. This hotel was like a peaceful getaway once we got inside with the beautiful green spaces beside the pool.

The rooms are spacious, well-lit, and feature beautiful natural materials, like wood, which gives the place a calming and earthy vibe.

The staff were incredible and made this place a special home away from home. Fiona was attentive, polite, and quick to assist with any inquiries or special requests. I came down with food poisoning while in the town and the staff took special care checking in on me and ensuring I was able to navigate what I needed to rest and get well.

Sophie at the kitchen made sure I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner served and even delivered to the room when I was ill.

The hotel also include a well-maintained gym with a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and an assortment of weights. The outdoor pool, although not Olympic-sized, is clean and inviting enough for a dip and swim.

If you're visiting Kampala and want a place that offers a sense of escape while being close to the city's attractions, this hotel is highly recommended!

Friendly safe and nice breakfast

Google should really consider adjusting its rating system to give weight to reviews according to time spent in a location. As I write this review in September 2023, I've been living in what has been home for over 8 months now: Acacia Villa. I calmly challenge reviews below a 4-star review as one should pose the question of why a visiting researcher like myself or other long-term guests would stay at Acacia Villa for as long as we have if any negative claims are remotely true?

Having lived at the Villa as long as I have, you not only see a hostel across different seasons, but you come to know its heartbeat at a depth. The biggest "issues" I've repeatedly observed at the Villa have, much to my surprise, been unpredictably entitled clients that come from the sampling pool of life.

I would give my own heart away from any one of the staff members at Acacia Villa. Every single staff member, not a single one exempt, is integrity personified. Whether it be Emmanuel at our gate, infectiously spreading joy to each guest, or Janet and Abiyo, magically hammering away in the kitchen to cook up the ABSOLUTE BEST rolex in town, the amount of heart, reverence, and raw care they put into everything they do is completely unmatched.

I could write an entire books about Acacia Villa and dedicate chapters to each wonderful person. I refrain from a writing novel now because 1) if you've had the sincere privilege of meeting even one of them, you rest peacefully knowing how inaccurate and horribly fabricated many of these negative reviews are having witnessed some of these alleged "claims", and 2) people of integrity and respect need not defend themselves for they are honorable in nature.

I would not think twice to recommend Acacia Villa. If you're looking for a sweetly energetic hostel, located walking distance to central spaces and with a peaceful/safe neighborhood, sincerely look no further. Acacia Villa is the place to make and call home while in Uganda.

Every bed has mosquito nets, but you don't really need them. I stayed in a private room. Everyone is nice, and you can meet travelers. The price is reasonable. You can pay a little for laundry service. Breakfast is some delicious fruit and maybe toast.

Totally safe, it's a relatively nice part of town, near Acacia Mall if you need an ATM or groceries. I actually never felt unsafe anywhere in Kampala because during the day there are people everywhere, and Ugandans are very nice people. I hope to be back some day.

Nice location and friendly staff but rooms could use an upgrade. A bit dirty

New experiences only

Right from the gateman, so rude. Then the pricing is in dollars yet i booked in Ugx. The rooms don't have inside toilets. Have to leave the comfort of the room to go about 30m to access the bathroom

I stayed in a dorm and I haven't seen private rooms, but the main building is great, the garden has a great view to the city. The breakfast is amazing and not the same every day. The ladies are doing a great job for sure! The place is clean, and the desk is absolutely helpful with any kind of questions regarding Kampala or Uganda all around. I got quite a lot of recommendation from Benjamin about where to stay around the country. And none of them was disappointing. Thank you!

Amazing atmosphere

I liked the place, quiet enough if you want to read or write. The Kampala view was quite interesting!
The stuff were friendly especially Benjamin and the security officer!

The most uncomfortable bed we slept in during this trip. They put a heavy vinyl cover between the mattress and the sheet, so when the sheet slipped, we were sleeping on the sticky fake leather.
There was no fan in the room.
The receptionist insisted that they only supply one towel per room, not one per guest. In the end, we paid extra for a towel.
The shower was surprisingly (and pleasantly) good. Hot water, pressure was low, but not bad.
The receptionist was surly and unfriendly.
