Die Campsites sind gigantisch, die Lodge hat uns mit Abstrichen gefallen. zur Campsite gehört ein toller Pool.

"Eigentlich" verdient die Campsite 5 Sterne. Allerdings ist der Preis auch sehr hoch und ich bewerte die Lodge mit.

Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen und auf alles was die Lodge zu bieten hat, verzichten.

We did the day tour cheetah drive -- most of the time we looked at taxidermy and the presentation was not great -- the guide read from the posters on the wall :-( -- the location is nice, but way to expensive for the few minutes you get to see animals. The highlight was the (self-)drive from the main road to the lodge where we saw lots of animals.

Ein traumhafter Ort, tolle Landschaft, sehr sehr aufmerksames, liebes Personal. Super leckeres Essen. Wer Geparden oder Leoparden beobachten möchte, ohne die üblichen "Shows"... Tiere über Fütterung locken... muss hierher! Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis im Gegensatz zur Bagatelle Kalahari Ranch. Wir kommen 2024 wieder!!!

Amazing place!! We camped on their campsites and were amazed by the structure and service of the place. Everything is very spacious, well created and intelligent with respect for the surroundings. The service was outstanding with only friendly people. They even surprised our friend on her birthday with ice cream. My only complaint would be that we didn't stay enough time! So if you're reading this in advance: don't just book for one night like we did but make sure to book longer! And if you have the money, I'm sure the lodges are truly outstanding.

Super Game Drives mit sehr netten Guides die alles ausgiebig erklären. Leopard Tracking ist auch absolut zu empfehlen.

I would recommend it to anybody visiting Namibia. It is so special, very private and exclusive and the food is excellent. No buffet but a great menu to choose from, a real experience compared to all the other lodges. The staff is amazing!
Our tours were beautiful and interesting since we could learn a lot about Namibian wildlife and the cats in specific. Very high chances to see Leopards! We also saw Giraffes, Zebras, a Rhino…
The campsite was great and had everything we needed. It was worth every single cent.

Mega coole Location, hier wurde an alles gedacht, vom Gasherd bis zur verschließbaren Box um Gegenstände und Essen vor Wildtieren zu verwahren.Der Abenddrive war mehr als Sehenswert und alles wurde sehr gut erklärt.Danke für die Großartige Arbeit, die das gesamte Team leistet . Wir wahren. auf der Omboroko Campsite, daher keine Sterne für die Zimmer, dafür alle Sterne für die Campsite Nr 1

Super Service, tolles Essen und hervorragende Touren. Teuer, aber ist das Geld wert. Das Ambiente dort und die Bungalows sind hervorragend! Gehört zum Besten, was wir in Namibia erleben durften

BE VERY CAREFUL! THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED!
In March we booked accommodation for July 10th for two nights for two people as part of our 3 week trip to Namibia.
It was paid in full on March 13th, about 1,200 euros, approx. That amount included the full national park fee.

We did some extra activities and expenses at a cost of just over 300 euros, which was paid separately.

But in the final bill, they charged us again the park fees that we had already paid in March, and an extra of more than 500 euros corresponding to a higher class accommodation that we did not hire and that nobody mentioned to us. We had booked at Plains Camps, but they put us in Bush Camp.
We were not notified, nor were we asked for permission, nor were we consulted beforehand if we were willing to pay the extra cost.

The photos on the website are very similar, as they both have large windows to the outside from the room, so it is easy to confuse them. In fact, I wanted to book at the campsite, as we were going with a 4x4 with a tent on the roof. We didn't need a room. But there was no room at the campsite available....
I don't have to know one from the other, especially when I booked 4 months before. When I arrive at an accommodation I trust that they know what I have booked.

At first I doubted whether I had paid the initial bill in full, as we were given a rather confusing bill in Namibian dollars.
But it was when I got home that I realized the error in the accommodation and payments.

I have contacted them to try to resolve the issue. They told me they were going to review it, but it has been over a month and I have not heard anything.

There are better and more serious sites, so they are NOT RECOMMENDED.

It's a place to be

First class experience. Really enjoyed our stay. The safari guide promised us one leopard, but got us 2 and we saw nearly all the animals in the park. Food and lodging first class with very nice and friendly service.

What a perfect place to stay !! The dinning room is stunning and the rooms were absolutely amazing. You must go there when you visit Namibia. The leopard tracking and the Okonjima center were two perfect activities

Très belle réserve ! Et lodges magnifiques ! Le seul point négatif que j'y trouve c'est que c'est une "usine" je m'explique, a l'heure de l'activité tous les 4*4 a la queue le le pour aller faire la même activité , ça perd de sa magie c'est dommage.
Le service pour le dîner du soir est également a revoir, on nous emmène les plats sans nous dire ce que c'est et on doit même demander à boire car personne ne s'en soucie, c'est dommage !

Nous avons été très bien accueillis dans le parc, et avons eu la chance de partir voir les guépards seuls avec notre guide, qui nous a guidés vers deux lieux où nous avons pu voir ces animaux magnifiques à moins de 5 mètres à chaque fois. Il nous a longuement et précisément expliqué l’histoire du parc ainsi que sa vocation, sa mission, et de façon plus générale la problématique que connaît la Namibie autour des animaux « nuisibles » comme les guépards qui sont, au delà du braconnage et des chasses privées organisées pour de riches européens et américains en quête d’adrénaline, également abattus par les propriétaires terriens qui tentent de protéger leur exploitation de viande. Nous avons également pu profiter d’un déjeuner simple mais très qualitatif, et cette première étape de notre voyage nous a particulièrement plu. Ce furent également nos premiers animaux croisés sur les pistes, qui nous ont émerveillés. Les pistes sont par ailleurs de qualité, faciles de conduite, et il serait naïf de croire qu’il en va de même dans tout le pays. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu.

Stayed in a Standard Room - nothing standard about it!

Wir haben zwei Drives mitgemacht: den Leopard-Drive (inkl Sundowner) und die Africat-Tour. Ein tolles Erlebnis!! Es lohnt sich Okonjima zu besuchen, am besten kombiniert mit einer Übernachtung (die Campsites sind Klasse!). Und auf dem Weg rein und raus (ca. 25km) sieht man selbst noch so viele Tiere, es ist wie ein eigener Game Drive. Okonjima können wir voll empfehlen!!

At first I was a bit skeptic about Okonjima. I wondered whether it was a legit project or not. And definitely, it is legit. Would definitely recommend. Their tours are amazing and at a very reasonable price. Camping was the best we had in the country. Do note that there is no open restaurant for dinner at the campsite, at least when we were there. Totally worth a visit.
