LOPESAN VILLA DEL CONDE RESORT & THALASSO ^{* * * * *}

Overall, our experience at Lopesan Villa del Condre was disappointing compared to our previous stays at Lopesan Baobab and Lopes Costa Meloneras. While there were some good aspects, such as the spacious room, comfortable bed, and nice swimming pools, the bad outweighed the good. The New Year's Eve Gala dinner was a major letdown with poor food and entertainment, the room cleaning was subpar, and the food quality for both breakfast and dinner was lacking. The noise levels in the hotel also made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
I would not recommend staying at Lopesan Villa del Condre, especially if you are used to 5-star hotel standards. We will not be returning to this hotel and will stick to our favourite Lopesan hotels in the future.

The hotel looks all lit up and attracts a lot of attention of people who sees it from outside specially at night as it looks like a lit up circus.

➕Positive things ????????:

- We got south west facing room, it was really nice to be able to sit on the balcony and watch beautiful sunsets every day.
- Room size is very specious (same as at Lopesan Boab)
- A walk-in wardrobe with a separate dressing area
- Friendly host at the main restaurant at breakfast
- Good availability of the sunbeds and nice swimming pools
- Nice bar outside next to the swimming pool with really tasty ice cream and good selection of drinks which are ere reasonably priced
- Free parking at the hotel
- Really comfortable bed (Mattress & pillows) (same as at Lopesan Baobab)
- Every evening they changed the towels if needed and left a lovely note with sweets (same as at Lopesan Baobab)

➖ Negative things ????????:

- NEW YEAR EVE GALA DINNER: OMG! Where do I start!! The worst New Year celebration! Previously in Lopesan Baobab the New Year celebration was always outstanding with the performers they had, decorations and of course fantastic food! What a total disappointment at Lopesan Villa del Condre ???????? Paying €600 per night the food was very poor, we had a sitting at 21:00 where they had a sitting before us at 18:00 the food was lying on the floor almost everywhere like chips and other slipping hazard ⚠️ when we asked the waiter if they can please clean it as a lot of ladies were wearing high heels and someone can get injured - They said Yes we’ll clean it and done absolutely NOTHING about it. This was followed by a very poor performance of the chosen singer, feels like they’ve found someone at the very bad karaoke bar and asked them to perform for free. NEVER EVER I WOULD STAY HERE FOR NEW YEAR !!

- CLEANING: on arrival the room is very clean! However we stayed 10 nights and the bedding and bedsheets were changed only once after 7th day! The floor wasn’t hoovered or mopped for 7 days either. Shower was clean only once after 8th day!

- FOOD BREAKFAST : we stayed from 30th December, so breakfast on 31st Dec and 1 Jan was quite good in terms of food quality and selection, even orange juice was freshly squeezed and not diluted. But after 1st Jan everything went downhill - we thought we were at a different hotel.

- FOOD EVENING: we stayed half board, before we always stayed at Baobab, and never had to even consider any other alternatives for dinner, however, as this hotel is was an absolute disaster ???? the quality of food as well as choice. Thankfully, we were able to go to the buffet restaurant to other Lopesan Hotels (Baobab and Meloneras as well as 3 restaurants at these hotels, otherwise it would have been a total disaster).

- FRIDGE: really slim fridge that can’t even hold 1.5 L water, or milk but we had to keep it off anyway as it was super noisy when it was on

- Although the room has really nice south west facing, I think out of 10 nights we only had 1-2 good night sleep as it was so noisy all the time with people passing by and neighbours being very loud during the evening and night. Even we we tried to go fall asleep at 22:00 we would be worked up at 23:00-23:30 with the noise ????

Our room was spacious and clean with comfortable bed and good quality linens. However, acoustics are poor as we could hear people passing in the corridor and people walking in their room directly above our room.
The grounds of the resort are well maintained and beautiful and there is a great choice of swimming pools. The bad thing is that people start "reserving" their pool loungers already from 8am without actually using them until much later, which is very annoying. This is done in every hotel with a pool, but we didn't expect this in a 5-star resort.
The buffet breakfast room is very crowded unless you go very early. After 9am it reminds me of a Madrid Metro station during rush hour. That's the disadvantage of staying in a very large resort with some 500 rooms. Bigger is not always better!!
On our 2nd morning an employee entered our room while we were still in bed, even though we had a sign "do not disturb" displayed on the door!! He said he came to collect our luggage for check-out. We still had 4 days left on our stay. Our complaint at the reception did not receive much attention and nothing was documented.
Upon check-out there were several errors on our invoice for drinks from a lobby bar where we never went and for drinks from the room mini bar that we never consumed. CHECK YOUR INVOICE BEFORE SETTLING THE BILL.
Other than all the above we had a pleasant stay but will probably not return,

Hotel precioso y distinto a todos los demás. A pesar de tener 20+ años no lo parece en absoluto, muy bien cuidado. Personal amable, educado y profesional siempre disponible. Habitaciones con un encanto particular y buenas calidades. Buffet con comida variada, fresca y sorpresas culinarias no presentes en cualquier hotel. En conjunto una experiencia de 5* que hacía mucho no sentía en otros hoteles.

Un hotel maravilloso donde pasar unos días de vacaciones. El trato por parte de todo el personal es excepcional. Totalmente recomendable

Celebrated my wedding there. The stuff of dreams. No words to describe service. Only slight negative was the florist they use their appointed subby, who forgot a few key flowers we noticed. Try and get it pinned down rapid. Best wedding planner ever Bernie. The number one. Food service rooms nothing was ever too much. A true gem.
